I fucking LOVED that battle… until they ended it without Stannis showing up! What the fuck is with the 49 minute episode, that's fucking horseshit. D&D just hate Stannis so much and I don't understand why.

They're probably going to end episode 10 with Stannis showing up, then Tyrion getting busted out of prison and having some fun father-son bonding.

Pretty disappointed with not have Stannis arrive. Seems like it would have been the perfect climax they like to have in their Episode 9's.

I know he doesn't show up till the second day, but my point was that they could have added 7 minutes to that episode of Jon talking to Mance and shit, and had Stannis show up at the very end, and the episode STILL would have only been 55 minutes long.

I think the problem I had with this episode as a battle-exclusive episode is that it was inconsequential. Sure they've held them off for 1 night, but so what? In Blackwater the stakes were fucking high as shit. This just felt like a small skirmish at best.
Also Stannis wrecking the wildlings would have been a much better note to end on than Jon slowly fading into whiteness. That was some Windows Movie Maker level shit.
