Really? It was pretty damn convenient to get the rules for a trial right when I needed them most.

Haha well I guess that's nice for you. But it seemed pretty dull to me.

It was worth it for Tywin's "good king" speech to Tommen alone.

The Tywin scene was brilliant. I think the first half was better than the 2nd half though. The Kings Landing segments interested me more than the rest. All the KL crew were great, including Littlefinger and Sansa
I'm wondering why they are changing Stannis so much but as I've heard they are saving the battle at the Wall for later, I guess they need to give him and Davos some stuff to do in the interim. I quite liked it though it annoys me that they had Stannis being convinced to go North at the end of series 3 and have now lost the sense of urgency. Seeing as they changed it, I kind of wish they had him recruiting more men, gearing up to take on Tommen's army and THEN going North...
I feel like Gilly and Sam are being derailed for the same reason. It's too soon for Oldtown so they are presumably putting Gilly in Mole's Town for something to do, and perhaps she will serve as the point of interest when the wildlings show up.
The scene with Styr and that kid was disturbing though, as was the Hound turning thief. I'm questioning what they are going to do about the Hound since they used the inn scene already without having him severely wounded.
Dany is still annoying me for the same reasons as usual. I still like the new Daario but I quite thought the duel would be longer than that.

I mean to me, that scene was more about Tywin saying to Cercei "Look! This one is mine, so keep your fucking claws away from him." than anything else.

If we're going to get info dumps, I'd much rather they come from Tywin lecturing Tommen than brothel/bedroom scenes.

This was a setup episode, so while I may not have enjoyed it all that much, I'll admit it was necessary.
"They don't have enough troops to raid a pantry." Was great. Stannis quips are the best quips.

I just love it when the writers get the characters down so well. Margaery. Jaime. The sept scene.

Ok that was weird. What happened to taking Meereen via the sewers and Jorah's exile? Dany doesn't have enough interesting stuff to do in Meereen as it is so why rush her conquest? That was a horrible anticlimax..
I liked most of the rest although the invented story regarding Craster's Keep was rather odd.
Loved the Kings Landing stuff though.

They swapped Mereen with Yunkai, who the hell knows what they're gonna do.

I don't mind the Craster's Keep plot, its keeping things interesting in the midseason.

Interesting yeah, but I have to wonder how much of the stuff regarding the Others is canon and how much is the show's invention.

It's the most disjointed and weird episode so far. The divergences are getting really weird.
I also feel bad for Tommen. He seems like a nice kid, but with family like that, he's fucked.

He's like 13, and he's gonna get to bang Margaery soon, and be King. His life is really tragic.
