He's like 13, and he's gonna get to bang Margaery soon, and be King. His life is really tragic. I mean more that his mother and grandfather are going to control him utterly for their own ends, which is pretty shit.

I think Tywin genuinely cares about him. I also LOVED the Craster's Keep stuff. The cutthroat from KL is a great addition.

That was absolutely amazing... Peter Dinklage and Alfie Allen were simply astonishing, period.

And now we have proof that the regicide trial in this game, as I wished to carry it out, was perfect. In fact, it was disturbingly accurate. Aranya and Maekar, you can both suck it for second-guessing me at every turn!

Except the difference is that presumably Rhaella wasn't paying everyone in the city to bear false witness against Vira, the way that Cercei was. The show sets the precedent that the prosecution conducts an investigation, and presents the evidence at trial; if Rhaella had bothered to investigate at all she would have realized what a clumsy frame-up job it was. Unless the Kingsguard were just lying to everyone to protect their own asses, which seems rather out of line with how you described them.
"She walked into the room, and then screamed, and then we came in, and the King was chopped into bloody pieces."
It would be one thing if Rhaella and the Kingsguard were all lying to conspire to get Vira executed, but based on what you and Marie has said that doesn't seem like the case. Pycelle examined Joffery's body, and his testimony was taken very seriously when he said it was 100% a death by poisoning, and when I asked if the GM would be examining Maegor's body you guys said that it would be pointless because nobody would care about what he said because he was old.
Like, if you wanted to try her in a kangaroo court and just convict and execute her, that's absolutely the prerogative of the admins and the NPCs involved, but trying to argue that it was a legitimate trial is kinda disingenuous.

I was prepared to do a full trial with witnesses but it turned out differently.

I was referring to my assertions that a trial by combat could be demanded in the midst of an actual trial as a means of saying "I don't trust I'll get a fair trial here so I'll leave it in the hands of the gods." My explanation of how it worked was a near exact quote of what Tyrion said. Also, my point that cross-examinations by the defense of witnesses was not the norm was backed up.
It also showed that all that's required is an accusation by a single party. Cersei had no evidence when she accused him, much like Rhaella and the Kingsguard, but the trial was still held. Also, it was never allowed to get to a proper trial, so I don't think either of you can really say damning surprise witnesses wouldn't have been called. Just because I didn't show all my cards doesn't mean the prosecution had no evidence with which to move forward.

Why did ten minutes of the episode get wasted on a romantic subplot involving a eunuch?

Also, Sandor and Arya at the Bloody Gate is officially the best scene of this entire series. I laughed so damn hard.

Why did ten minutes of the episode get wasted on a romantic subplot involving a eunuch? That was weird, especially that Missandei appeared to object and then at the last minute decided she was happy after all. Their romance is endearing but ultimately not very useful in terms of plot. I liked the fight but I wanted to see way more build up with the Kings Landing arc. Also, I can't believe none of you have commented on the changes to Sansa's arc. It was done well but I just can't work out what they are going to do about her AFFC arc now I still hate Dany, for the record. I feel bad for Jorah still, but I think his reveal has less of an impact now, when he and Barristan already knew who the other was from the beginning.

Did Show-Barristan already know about Jorah, though? I thought Barristan didn't attend Small Council meetings in Season 1.

I thought he did, at least once. Didn't he oppose killing Dany alongside Ned, the same as in the books?

No, I'm pretty sure Ned was alone in the show.

I like that the Daenerys stuff in the books is so boring the show writers shoehorned in a romance between Greyworm and Missandei.
