A feast for the royal party from Westeros. A great many courtiers with vividly coloured hair and flashy clothes are present to welcome the guests. The drinks are wine of varying hues and the famed Tyroshi pear brandy, though there is strongwine too. The members of the royal party are given places of high honour alongside the Archon and his family.

Brandon stood behind the Prince and Princess, and scanned the crowd for faces which caught his attention or seemed suspicious for some reason. OOC: not really sure if it applies but Noteworthy Espionage?

At the high table were the Archon, his brother, the Archon's wife and two teenage children, as well as several men of women of high rank. He saw the axe-wielding guards standing by the door, though none looked particularly suspicious. He noted a woman with a mandolin, a harpist and a man in mustard yellow with his hair dyed indigo.

The Prince and Princess make their arrival. Aegon wears a black doublet cut from expensive cloth, the details chased with cloth of gold. As he was informed it was custom for Tyroshi nobles to carry their weapons with them, Aegon leaves Penance on full display on his hip. He enters the room with his betrothed on his arm and waits to be announced and guided to his seat by the servants.

Princess Laena, deciding the dragons were safe to be left a little while, and determined not to miss the feast, arrives in her customary black, slashed with red silk. The herald announces their party and they are promptly introduced to the Archon's relations and invited to take their seats.
The Archon beckons to the royal couple. "Please Your Excellencies, I would be honoured if you would sit beside me." He indicates chairs next to himself and his wife.

Aegon takes the offered seat. "The honor is mine. We look forward to seeing your city, Archon."

"We look forward to showing it to you. I would like to see the dragons."
"So would I! Oh, please say I may!" This came from a girl with hair dyed deep blue on one side, the rest a glossy black. She was young and pretty, about sixteen years old and looked upon Aegon with a great deal of curiosity. "You are the dragon prince, aren't you?"
"My eldest daughter, Lanaya," said the Archon. "My dear, do stop bothering the prince."
The girl stuck her tongue out at her father.

"My lady." Aegon kissed the girl's hand. His tone was reserved and sober, as it often was these days, but he was nonetheless courteous. "I am indeed the Prince of the Seven Kingdoms. The dragons are well worth seeing, Lord Archon. They are power made flesh, and there is nothing like them in the world. I must caution your people to stay away from them without supervision, however, for their own safety. But we should be happy to show them to you on the morrow."

"Oh, I so want to!" Lanaya cried. "I wish I could come with you when you go home. I would like to see your Seven Kingdoms, Prince Aegon. I have a book about your Aegon the Conqueror. He sounds fascinating."
Meanwhile, Belaquo, the Archon's brother, grinned over at Brandon. "Smile, ser, it is a feast. Here, will a cup of pear brandy loosen your tongue?"

"We always welcome noble visitors to the Seven Kingdoms, my lady," Aegon responded. "And the Conqueror is mine own namesake. Truly a remarkable man."

"Aegon the Conqueror had a dragon too," Lanaya said. "The Black Dread. What happened to him? Did he die?"
Belaquo shrugged. "Good ser, nobody here means you harm. Will you not at least drink a toast to your safe arrival here? The Archon and I would be most remiss if we allowed harm to come to our guests."

Brandon shook his head, "No ser, forgive me. My vigilance is not a reflection of trust, merely duty. The forms must be observed."

"A dragon never dies from age, my lady, they only grow larger. Balerion the Black Dread still lives. He is my father's mount."

"As you wish. Perhaps on the morrow you will show me how a knight of Westeros fights?" Belaquo suggested hopefully.
"I would like to see Balerion tooo," Lanaya said wistfully. "Can't you take me with you? I am so bored of my father's palace!"
Meanwhile, Rhaena found herself the source of much interest from the Archon's son and several other young men with outlandish hair. They all begged to be allowed to carve her meet and fill her glass.

"Dragons rarely accept passengers not of Targaryen blood," Aegon replied, "But at any rate that is a decision for your lord father, not me."

"Then let us meet tomorrow," Belaquo answered. "Perhaps you will favour me with a personal lesson." He grinned.
"I didn't ask to ride the dragon," the girl said. "I just wanted to go to Westeros. Don't you have ships?"

They all begged to be allowed to carve her meet and fill her glass. Rhaena was hardly overwhelmed by the attention, and held her glass for anyone to fill, but insisted on cutting her meat herself. She was not sure if it was a Tyroshi custom or they were just being friendly. She had worn the dress she had put out, and like her brother, she came with her sword on her hip, but had left her bow behind, it being a little cumbersome. "Your palace is very beautiful," she said taking a sip of wine, and looking round the group of young men surrounding her, "is the rest of your city so lovely?"

The young men were quick to assure her that Tyrosh was the most beautiful city in the world, though it was difficult to tell how much of their praise genuine and how much exaggerated. But the Archon's son grinned and said "May I give you a personal tour, princess? I would love to show you the Bleeding Tower."

"What is interesting about the bleeding tower? It has a very, loaded name?" She asked, giving the achron's son her full attention, resting her elbow on the table and resting her chin on her hand, looking up at him with a coy smile.

The Tyroshi youth merely grinne at her. "Perhaps you will have to come along to find out for yourself," he teased. "That would be more interesting, wouldn't it?"
