"Is it far?" She asked after a pause for thought, " perhaps you could show me after the party, then a proper tour on the morrow?" She suggested. "It's by the harbour. I'd love to take you for a visit at any time of day." He grinned at her, leaning close. "I would be honoured if you would let me be your escort and companion while you remain in Tyrosh."

"The whole time?" She queried, raising her eyebrows, then seemed to remembered herself and inclined her head with a smile, "it would be an honour to have you as a companion, my lord, the more the merrier, or so they say, perhaps your fellows would like to accompany us some of the time?"

"I'm sure they would," he agreed. "But I hope you will favour me with a private excursion too. My friends are very..." He frowned. "Noisy. They talk and laugh all the time and make rude comments about their lovers. Are you sure you want to deal with that?"

"A private visit, would be a pleasure, I am sure, but If there is one thing I can do, It is be rude about my lovers," she said to him with a grin, "or I would, if I had any," she corrected and looked round to the other young men, giving them a glowing smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. This was everything she hated. Schmoozing. Flattering, "how very unfair to keep me all to himself,"

Unsurprisingly, this started a clamour among the young men who agreed that it would be unfair, and one, bolder than the rest, ventured to remark that she'd not regret it if she took him for a lover. But the Archon's son, whose name was Ennio, laughed and said "Don't listen to him. He's such a braggart. Would you let me paint you, princess? I'm quite good."

"And miss an opportunity to be immortalised?" She said, playfully, smiling round at Ennio. Her face was starting to ache.

"Good. I could paint you at the top of the tower. That would make for a splendid view. Wwe could take food and wine. I promise I won't get drunk. Wouldn't do to have an unsteady hand, will it?"

"Westeros has many ships," Aegon replied. "You would be welcome in our court in King's Landing, of course, as long as you had your father's approval." "I would love to have my daughter visit Westeros," the Archon replied. "It would be an excellent thing for both our realms, would it not?" "It could only lead to closer ties," Aegon agreed, "And we should be glad to host her. Our group must travel farther east before we return to Westeros, but she would receive a warm welcome at our court."

Brandon listened to Aegon and Rhaena's conversations with practiced disinterest.

"Not if you would like to do me justice," she said, "After Tyrosh, i believe we are going to Volantis," she said, supplying the information, keeping an eye on his reaction to the other city.

"It could only lead to closer ties," Aegon agreed, "And we should be glad to host her. Our group must travel farther east before we return to Westeros, but she would receive a warm welcome at our court." "Perhaps we may send a ship to escort my dear Lanaya then," the Archon suggested. "You must be sure to stop here on the way home." The girl leaned close to Aegon. He became aware of the fact that she was pretty, even with her strangely coloured hair. She couldn't have been much older than his sister Daenya but she had a womanly figure and a friendly nature. "Oh, I can't wait to see your home, Prince Aegon. What's your favourite place?" "Not if you would like to do me justice," she said, "After Tyrosh, i believe we are going to Volantis," she said, supplying the information, keeping an eye on his reaction to the other city. ` "Oh. I've never been to Volantis, but Uncle Belaquo has. You could ask him about it if you like. There's tigers and elephants, but those are the rulers, not actual animals. Unless they keep them in menageries." Ennio shrugged. "I would like to go there one day, to paint the scenery, but Father says it's not proper for an Archon's son to paint."

"Of course," Aegon answered the Archon. "My sister Daenya is close in age to your daughter, and Her Grace the Queen shall be glad to host her." The king, less so, but he would be happy enough to have a potential hostage in case the Tyroshi mercenaries tried to collect on their debt too aggressively.
"Dragonstone," he answered the Archon's daughter. "It is a mighty fortress, each tower carved in the shape of a stone dragon. An isolated place, compared to Tyrosh or King's Landing, but there is a wild beauty to the uninhabited parts of the island."

"I hope I can see it," Lanaya said, while her father nodded in satisfaction. "#We have so many buildings here, all you can see is stone and seawater. I would like to see something wild. I don't think I know what it means, not really." She laughed.
"You have two sisters then?" The Archon queried. "A pity Princess Daenya could not join you here."

"Can you not be the Archon's Son and Paint?" she asked, "Everyone needs an outlet to make up for the things they get no choice in," Rhaena could sympathise, and she felt herself warming a little to Ennio, her smile become a little bit genuine.

OOC: Content. I'm standing right behind them, so I can't imagine I can't hear them. More about practicing being unobtrusive.

Ennio shrugged again. "Father thinks it's boring and pointless and that I should spend all my time dealing with politics. I spend lots of time at boring meetings, though, so I paint when I can. And you've seen Father's clothes. He spends more on clothes than my mother and sister put together. So he's no paragon of virtue." He grinned. "He didn't mind when I painted a portrait of him! Would you like to see it?"
Brandon does his best to seem unobtrusive but his presence is not easily ignored by those who have grown up with the knights of the Kingsguard, and he draws interested glances from the Tyroshi. A young woman, a serving girl, purposely bumps into him whilst carrying a fresh flagon of wine, so her breast brushes against his arm.

"The portrait of your father? I suppose," it would let her at least be forewarned if the guy was terrible at painting, "Rich clothes can send messages by themselves, as hypocritical as it sounds, rulers should look the part."

Aegon smiled slightly for the first time in the evening. "To be perfectly honest, my lady, Dragonstone is a great deal of stone and seawater as well, though of a different variety, I grant you." Aegon nearly corrected the Archon to tell him he had three, but caught himself in time. "Princess Daenya was occupied I am afraid, though I am sure she would have loved to see your city. She has taken to dyeing her hair in your fashion," he added.

"They do, but Father likes to show off, and his taste can be a bit...overdone." Ennio grinned. "Once he came to a feast with his doublet striped in all the different colours of the rainbow. Lanaya and I laughed about it for days, when he wasn't looking. I will show you the painting soon, when it's acceptable to excuse yourselves for a few minutes. He's not wearing the rainbow doublet in that, though." Aegon smiled slightly for the first time in the evening. Even stone and seawater will be interesting so long as they are not in Tyrosh," she said, giggling and offering him a dish of fish cooked in some kind of oil. "Would you like it if we dyed your hair while you are here?"

I don't get as much time to paint as I would like, between political duties with my father and sword training with my uncle. I would love to have a proper audience for a chance." He grinned and said "Try this cheese. It's exquisite."
