Adara looked up from the food. "Oh. I don't think it would be a problem at all to give them what they want. It's only pillow play, and we both know how amusing that can be." She winked at Daenya. "It wouldn't be so bad, as long as we get good food and lots of wine."
Koja watched them, frowning. "Your friend does not mind."

Daenya's looked hardened, not wanting her to show her dread, her fear. "For how long?" She asked, her voice low and quiet.

Daenya grimly lay down on the floor and attempted to sleep. She was already planning her vengeance.

"Wine won't help you," Daenya snapped, sitting up again. "I was stupid for leaving Vandaras behind," She added grimly. "As soon as I get out of here they will pay."

Adara yawned. "Oh, Daenya, so fierce. You know they have bows and arrows, don't you? And we are in their home. They could have killed us already, if they wanted to."

"No at myself," Daenya snapped, turning to the girl. "Now shut up and get some rest. I doubt the journey to where we are going will be short." She lay back down and closed her eyes.

Hours passed as the women slept. When Daenya woke, it was to Adara shaking her shoulder and calling her name. Koja, the young woman who had brought their food before, stood by with a bowl of fresh fruit and a jug of water.
"My father wants to know if you wish to go to Lotus Town when I go with my sister."

Daenya rose groggily and rubbed her eyes, before turning to Koja.
"What will happen if I do not come?" She asked.

"You will have to stay here, at least until the king sends word. He lives there. It is not so far from here. Lotus Port is a great city," Koja replied. "I would live there if I could."

Daenya gave a nod and stood up. "Then I will go see your king and assure him that I am not here as a spy."
She turned to Adara. "Agreed?"

Daenya frowned, thought for a moment. "In that case I need to retrieve some things, and make sure Vandaras, my dragon, knows I am alright. You can send guards with me, I won't attempt to escape."

"No dragon," Koja insisted. "It is too dangerous. You will come with us, or stay here until the king comes, or commands my father to send you to Lotus Port under guard."

Daenya's features softened a little. "If I am gone for too long Vandaras will worry. He will think something has happened to me, and will go look for me. He will be angry and he will burn. Do you want that?"

Adara said, "Daenya, won't Vandaras be able to see us, if he's nearby? Your hair is easy to see."
