Rhaella hugge Arenya back. "Good luck. I really hope you get what you wish for."

Maelys knocned at the door, he had changed that ragged clothing for his office's armor set.

He was shown in at once. Rhaella greeted him with a brief smile. She was busy with a book written in High Valyrian.
"Brother! Welcome. Come sit with me." She waved him over.

Maelys nodded and sat by her, his face concealed no emotion.
"I have... Something I'd like to discuss with you, my Queen." He stopped and checked around the room to see if there wasn't someone in there with them .
"How do you feel about your son's... choice?"

"Of dragon, you mean?" Rhaella asked. "Or his choice to worship the false gods of the Andals?"

"Yes, the second one..." He had already noticed she didn't like it much.

"Ah. Yes. I cannot approve. The Faith Militant killed our father and his brother. How could I not wish to destroy them all?"
Her voice was implacable. Her hatred of the Faith Militant was hardly a secret.

"But why blame the Faith when it was the men who did it?" He asked.

"Men who serve the Faith," Rhaella insisted. "Don't be foolish, brother. The Faith is a deadly weapon in the hands of fanatics who would see us all dead."

"That's right... But the greatest part of the popularion of Westeros worships them, even the Old Gods from the North have more followers then our religion." He was slowly having a what might be a good idea. "Why can't we use this weapon against them?"

Rhaella frowned. "How do you mean? I am afraid I see nothing good in the Faith of the Seven."

"What if we use the Faith in our favor? We adapt it to our needs." This probably wouldn't work, but suggesting couldn't worsen his situation. "We win the people by exposing their flaws and offering them a reformation."

Rhaella frowned. "I don't believe that would work. The septons won't like us trying to change the laws and beliefs they have followed all their lives and neither will the lords. The king will never approve, either. You must see that we have only two choices, brother. Peace or elimination. Maegor and I cannot see the way to a peace with the men who killed our father and gave us so much trouble. It seems that elimination is the only answer."

"Yeah... It wouldn't work..." He plucked his mustache. "But can't we accept the people who worship them, and yet want nothing with the High Septon and his crew of skunks?"

"That is what we ave done for fifty years. For myself, I do not care what god a man worships, so long as he is loyal and obedient. The problem is the Faith Militant. Perhaps the Faith itself may be allowed to remain under strict regulation. But not in Oldtown. The site of the Faith Militant's rebellion must be destroyed. Every brick must be torn down, their gold added to our coffers to help pay for this wretched war that has lasted all our lifetime."
She frowned.
"But Aegon is the Crown Prince and heir apparent. Do not ask me to give my blessing to his choice to worship the Seven. I cannot approve, especially while this war continues."

Maelys nodded, that would be enough. "Thanks for this attention, sister. This has been troubling me for sometime... When you work with the common folk you get troubled by those matters." He lied.

"Indeed." But it was plain that Rhaella was not too worried about such things herself. She was confident in her own beliefs. "But, my dear brother, you do know that Maegor would grant you lands and keep of your own if you wised it. You don't have to say with the Watch if you find it too much of a conflict with your duty to the family."

"Thanks, dear sister, but never! The Watch is what I love, it's what I am... Without it, I'd be nothing." He smiled faintly.

She patted him on the shoulder. "As long as you are sure. But have you never desired a lordship, for your son's sake if not your own? It would be something to think about. He may not wish to wear the gold cloak as you do, after all. It would be good for House Targaryen too."

"Well... Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea." He thought of the twins. "We could give it a thought. Oldtown wouldn't be a bad idea." He joked.

Rhaella laughed. "Oldtown is rather ambitious. But it is something you might consider, if you can convince the king to deem you worthy of the honour. Best not speak to him about the Faith. Maegor's temper is fierce and especially in matters relating to the war."

Wisdom Waxley, in the red cloak and robe of the Alchemist Guild, arrived at the Queen's office to inform her of Prince Aegon's decision.

Rhaella arrived. She was about to leave and was not best pleased by the interruption. "Yes?" She asked. "What is it?"

Waxley bowed in deference. He was rehearsed now mostly after xplaining the subject several times already. "Your Grace, I have spoken to the King and Prince Aegon. Prince Aegon has sent me here because he believes that my idea of using wildfire delivered by dragons has some merit. The prince instructed me to deliver the wildfire to your care so that you may use it as your grace sees fit." He brought along the sketches and diagram and quickly showed the Queen. "This is the idea, to save the lives of dragons and their riders by letting them deliver wildfire from a safe distance; away from arrows and ballista."

Rhaella frowned. "And how does the prince expect me to transport this wildfire? By dragon? By ship? I am no expert but I am well aware that wildfire is extremely dangerous."
