"Everything kills, sweet one. Water kills. The winds can kill. A rock can fall and crush your skull in. Is it the rock's fault? In the Shadow Lands, there are flowers with a sweet smelling and deathly poisonous pollen. You cannot live in fear of everything that can kill, because you will have to stay shut in your room and refuse entry to any person for the rest of your days, and even then a number of unfortunate fates could still befall you." She cocked her head to the side and gave the woman a friendly, reassuring smile.

Kesi was struck by the fact that she was probably older then this red priestess.
"I am knowing the shadowlands." She said, having travelled in a former life as a trader. "Those flowers are being of most beauty and use."

Sarena nodded. "They are, you are well travelled, my dear. Forgive me my ill manners, I am Sarena Vani'ani, of Bashai."

Kesi had never been to Bashai.
"Kesi Mandisa, I am coming from Great Moraq." She said, "I must be asking your forgiveness too. I Am not great fan of fire, and I was never thinking that a red Priestess would be bothering with this land."

Sarena had never been to the island of Great Moraq either.
Sarena waved away the apology. "A shame, you could be a great follower of the Lord of Light, and he would bestow upon you wondrous gifts."

Before maybe... Kesi thought. "I was brought up in the house of the Warlocks." She said with a smile, even seeing that the other woman couldnt see her. "I am happy with what I have been taught there, and with my travels."

A playful smiled crossed Sarena's face. "I wondered who had shared their arts with you. Do you have sweet blue lips, from drinking the warlocks' elixir?" she asked, reaching out to touch the woman's lips.

Kesi moved away a step, not trusting the red woman.
"That is something that you will not be knowing." She said. "The arts that I have been taught are to be staying secret as I was promising."
She personally thought that dark blue lips would go rather nicely with her light blue hair. "The elixir is not to be wasted on one that was never to stay for long. I have been having it twice."

"I would like some day to taste that particular brew of theirs, I hear it can be... illuminating. But I will not press you any further, as I feel my presence causes you discomfort. Perhaps we will speak again, when you have had some time to get used to the idea of my being here. I promise not to set anything on fire while I am with you."

Kesi twisted her bracelet around her wrist.
"For that I am thanking you." She said, faint amusement in her voice, though in her expression her fear was still clear. "Prehaps we will, I would like to be learning maybe things that I have not before, if you will be letting me. And if they are not involving R'hllor."

"Sadly I know little of value that could be taught to one so worldly as you, other than what R'hllor has shown me," she smiled.
"Good day, Kesi, it was a pleasure to meet you," she bowed her head and then began to walk away.

On her second day back at King's Landing, Daenerys made her way to the gardens to find her friend Taena after being informed she could be found there. She wore a beautiful sea-green summerdress lined with silver, a black silk ribbon tied around her wrist.

Daenya, wearing a dress of vibrant turquoise and white, spotted Dany in the gardens.
"Cousin!" She called, walking over to Daenerys. "Is it not a beautiful day?"

Sighing before coming to a halt, Dany turned around to face her cousin, flinching ever so slightly at the pain in her ankle. "Princess," she greeted, barely recognising her. "Oh, but what have you done?" she inquired curiously, reaching her hand out to examine a strand of Daenya's pink hair. "I have seen green-haired men and blue-haired men, but never a girl in pink," she said, smiling a little. "It suits you."

Daenya smiled. "Thank you! I like it myself, though it seems Rhaena wasn't too keen on it. How is your foot?" Daenya's own arm was still bandaged heavily, though not in a sling anymore.

Taena Storm arrived. She waved over at Dany as she approached. "Oh, Dany, I prayed for your safety. It seems my prayers were not in vain," she said.
Her eyes widened as she saw Daenya, and her pink hair. She curtsied quickly, not being very well acquainted with the princess. "Princess Daenya."

"It is slightly better, at least I can step on it now," Dany began, but was distracted by Taena's arrival. "Oh hello, dear," she said, giving the girl a customary kiss on the cheek as a greeting. "Has anything interesting happened at the capital while we were away?"

Daenya smiled at Taena, but said nothing as she did not know the girl that well.

"Not really," Taena said. "I've been talking to Visenya Targaryen reently. She's quite good company and my friends in Lord Reyne's retinue are quite taken with her. I keep teasing her to marry Ser Jaime Westerling."
She smiled at Dany, clearly relaxed in her company. "How was the war? Is Mith alright? Did you save us all from the dread Ser Hector?"

"Ah, alright," replied Dany with a smile, not personally acquainted to her, but knew her to be Rhaegar and Elseyris' sister. She laughed at little at Taena's last question, but her face grew serious upon recalling the events of the battle. "It was Prince Aegon's dragon that devoured Ser Hector, eventually. Mith's wing needs to heal better, but he seems fine otherwise. We did lose Valarr, and three dragons, as I am sure you've heard."

Visenya, dressed in a gown of lavender and black, wandered into the gardens. It was always a fragrant place, open and airy and filled with beautiful things. She plucked a white flower and smelled it, rolling the stem between her slender fingers. As she followed the path, she quickly came upon Taena, and with her a pink-haired girl that seemed to be Aegon's youngest sister and a slender blond girl who was among the loveliest she had ever seen. A quick welling of jealousy within her was suppressed, and she called out to her friend. "Taena! Pray introduce me to your friends!" She hastened to join the trio.

"Yes. A tragic loss. I was with Victory when I hear. I cried," Taena confessed. Seeing Visenya, she cried out "Visenya, come and meet Daenerys Velaryon and Princess Daenya. Dany, Your Grace, this is Visenya."

Fortunately Daenya was not the type to get offended by the impropriety of coming second in a list of names after a non-royal, so she simply smiled and waved at Visenya.
"Cousin, how nice to see you. I love your dress!"

Accepting the fact that what should have been a meeting with her friend was now a Targaryen girls convention, Dany turned slightly to look at the newcomer, offering her a warm smile. "Lady Visenya," she greeted. "Taena here was just telling us about you."

She inclined her head in greeting to each of them. "Thank you, cousin," she said to Daenya, pleased to avoid calling the girl "your grace." "I quite like your hair. Are you taking up the Tyroshi fashion?"
She smiled to Taena. "Only Good things, I hope?"
