Visenya was also wandering, though she tried to look purposeful. She probably was doing a terrible job, especially when she slowed her pace to look over the blue-haired foreigner that crossed her path. "Well, hello, good afternoon. It's rather quiet, with everyone gone, isn't it?" She wondered if the witch misliked small talk.

"Yes!" Kesi said, sounding surprised as she looked up to see the Targaryen girl. "Is being too quiet."
She offered a small smile. "I am not knowing your name?"

"Oh, that it is. I'm Visenya Targaryen. And you?" She knew the woman's face and occupation (it was hard not to, especially when one had such an unusual appearance) but not her name. She was admittedly quite curious about her.

"Name is being Kesi." She answered, again smiling slightly. "I must be apologising, is so different here and still am learning peoples."

Visenya smiled in return. She found Kesi's accent charming. "No matter, especially when we all look alike." She laughed. "So, Kesi...I heard that you are skilled in..." she wondered how to put it delicately. Tact was a virtue at court. "In the arcane arts?"

"Arcane?" Kesi repeated, not knowing the word. "I am healer and servant, is all."
She stopped walking, and looked out of a window.
"Is preety no?"

"Very pretty, yes," she said, joining Kesi at the window. "But yes, arcane...it means...well, magic and things. I'm sorry, I have heard rumors..."

"Magic is being a dangerous art." Kesi said softly. "Rumours are sometimes being true and sometimes not so much true. Is nothing to be sorry for Visenya Targaryen. It is what magic is wanting to be used for is being cause for sorrow."

"Oh, no doubt of it. I was merely curious and wanted to know if the rumors were true." Visenya shrugged. "As for being a healer, well, we might have an interesting conversation, there. I know a little about herbs and would be glad to know more. You do use herbs, right? And not just magic?"

"Some are saying that using herbs is using magic." Kesi said, and her love of plants was suddenly very clear in her expression. "Herbs are giving life when sometimes life is not, and some are not for being so good for a person."

Visenya nodded. "That's true. I know rather more about the ones that are bad for people, than those that do a person good. They seem to be more useful here."

Kesi was quiet at the window for a few moments.
"Both is being good in right situation." She said. "Maybe it is being unwise to be talking of things like this in such open space?"

Visenya laughed softly. "Probably. Would you show me some of what you know, though? I am sure we could be useful to eachother in one way or antoher."

Kesi turned finally and studied the girl.
"My rooms are being closer I am thinking, maybe talk more in there?" She said. "I am thinking that we are having more to discuss then I can be imagining."

"Very well, then. I'll follow you." Visenya gestured down the hallway. She felt butterflies in her gut. Excitement. "What else do you think we have in common, then?"

"You are liking to learn." Kesi answered, before taking the girl to her rooms.

////////////////////////// Janos had just grabbed a book of some personal interest from the Library of the Red Keep, and so was relatively rapidly walking through the corridor, his mind elsewhere as he was making his way to the tower of the hand.

On her way to the Office of the Master of Whisperers, to visit Lord Darklyn, Elsey strode round a corner, almost colliding with Lord Velaryon. Her reflexes were such that she sidestepped, almost catlike, but looked up at him with a slightly startled look.
"My Lord Hand, my apologies."

At the sudden appearance of Lady Elseyris Janos had been startled out of his daydream, and had been slightly less dextrous, nearly dropping the book he had grabbed. With the book safe, and the cover seemingly specifically concealed, he replied. "No fault of yours Lady Elseryis"

"What's that you have there?" she asked, peering with interest at his book, stepping jauntily closer, forgetting entirely to operate any kind of social graces in the face of her personal curiosity.

"Just an old historical tome" Janos said, "Probably not interesting for you, and not even too interesting for me if I'm honest"

"Depends on who writes the history, My Lord Hand," said Elsey, with a cunning smile. "though, if it is not of interest to you, why do you have it? Life is too short to read dull books."

"Sometimes the choice of what I read is not in my own hands" Janos said somewhat elusively. "Be that looking into past events for current reference, or just for inspiration in my daily duties, best to learn from the mistakes of others past, as opposed to flying into the same situations headfirst" He continued.

"Very true, My Lord Hand. Many of us do not get to choose as much for ourselves as we would like. Learning from the past is definitely valuable though, I hope you find what you are looking for."
She glanced around briefly;
"I believe we intend to move in the same direction, may we walk together a while?"

"I suppose" Janos said. As he began walking he said "I heard the reports of Oldtown, my apologies for your loss"
