Orys nodded. "Aye, I can fly. The king need only command me and I'll do as he says. Gods know that I'd rather be flying with a purpose than lounging around my borrowed quarters."

"Of course. Why not ask the king if you can be of service to him anywhere in particular. Perhaps he needs a courier?" Reyne suggested.

Orys considered it a moment. A courier wouldn't be a terribly bad assignment. It would give him a chance to get out of the city for a time, at least. "I suppose that would work. Some messages may just be to sensitive for ravens."

"Yes. And speed is often of the essence. I am sure the king will find you something to do."

"I'll need to take my leave of you, my lord. I've a visit to pay to his grace," he said as began to walk away, making his way toward the throne room. His footsteps echoed off the walls as he made his way away. He chuckled when he considered he didn't exactly know how to find the throne room from here, but he would manage.

/////////////////// Kesi ventured out into the corridors, trying to find a fairly warm place for some seeds that she had been sent from her home. Elseyris, on her way to the Dragon Pit, spotted Kesi, and approached her. The exotic mistress of potions fascinated her, and she looked to be thoughtfully searching for something. "Greetings, Kesi. Is everything alright?" Elseyris asked, with a friendly smile.

Wisdom Waxley, on yet another errand around the keep, or perhaps just an aimless walk through the halls, spotted the foreigner. He had seen her around before and wondered of her importance to the King. Was the king favouring her more than the alchemists? He had to investigate at least a little bit. He decided to follow her around, to see what she was up to.

Kesi gave the girl a startled look, as if surprised that someone else would have the audacity to be walking around in the full sunshine.
"Elseyis." She said after a moments thought of which targaryen she was speaking with. Her accent made the name sound even more exotic then it already seemed. "Everything is good, and for you?"
She gave the girl a slight smile.

"A lettle." Kesi smiled. "But you are a Targaryen no? Does that not make you used to heat?"
Kesi started to slowly walk along the corridor at a pace that invited Elseyris to join her.
"Faros is much more hotter though."

An offhand meeting with a Targaryen? Or a scheduled liason discussin important matters of the kingdom? Waxley continued to follow them, his head down and his hands in his sleeves. He stopped intermittently at various statues and the like to give the impression he wasn't doing anything.

"Faros is much more hotter though." Elseyris fell into step with the sorceress; "I suppose we are, but not as much as those across the sea, I think. I hear it is intensely hot in the Free Cities." Glancing at Kesi, Elseyris admired her blue hair, noticing that it closely matched her eyes. "Would you tell me about Faros? I love hearing about other places. Kings Landing is all I know." There was a sadness in her voice at those last words.

Kesi gave a little smile at the thought of her home.
"Faros is the big city on Great Moraq." She said. "Is like smaller and nicer version on this city. We trade there and swim the summer sea to stay cool. Is much clean and so hot, like I am thinking your dragonpit? I am hoping that a flower will grow if the dragons give a lettle heat maybe."

Wisdom Waxley struggled to overhear the conversation, it seemed to him these two were involved in some plot with the Dragon Pit. He would have to try learning more...and warn the king as soon as possible. He hurriedly rushed off. He couldn't let the foreign sorceress win more favour from the royals. It was time to reveal some plans he and the Guild had to help win the war.

Perhaps we could go together, and we can see if there is a suitable place for this flower of yours?"

"That would be good." Kesi said, sounding a little surprised that she would even offer. "I must confess I am not liking Dragons much."
She gave a shiver. "Are you never nervous around them?"

"It's understandable, they are powerful and volatile creatures." "I am not very nervous around my own dragon, but one must be wary with the bigger dragons, Targaryen or no. I would never approach another dragon, it is too dangerous. They don't like strangers." She looked to Kesi with a comforting smile; You don't have to come right into the pit, actually, now that I think of it. I will be taking my dragon South very soon, leaving his nest empty for a while. It's very warm in there, and the plant would be undisturbed. I can plant it there for you, and that would let you avoid the dragons."

"Would you be minding?" Kesi asked, looking visably releived. The last time she had been near one of those creatures she had ended up worse off. "Why are you going south? Are you going to go far?"

"I would be happy to help you with your work, just let me have the plant, and I shall see that it is put safely where it can grow. I can check on it when I return." "I am going to help Prince Aegon with the war. We will be going to Oldtown."

"Oldtown." Kesi repeated thoughtfully. "Is books there no?"
She took the seeds out of a little bag that she always carried around.
"Maybe flower will make your dragons home nice for it."

Elseyris thought for a moment; "There's a big library there, yes. Lots of books there. I'm not sure how many will still be intact after the place has been attacked by dragons though. Hopefully some may be preserved, the wealth of knowledge in there must be astounding." She took the seeds from Kesi, cradling them in her hands carefully, as though they were delicate tiny creatures. She took out a small handkerchief from her pocket, and wrapped it around the seeds like a little bag. "I shall plant these for you as soon as I get there," Elseyris said, with a smile and a nod. "But I really must get going, I have much preparation to do." She moved out of step with Kesi, as she headed for the dragon pit. ////////

Kesi once again wandered the corridors, as she liked to when she was trying to think.
find and destroy a king's enemy She thought. If only wisdom was shared as freely here as it was at home
