Briefly glancing away from Daenya, Elseyris caught sight of Aegon scanning the room. She smiled politely, giving a small nod of acknowledgement as she turned to seek a servant to persuade into giving her more wine while she was still away from her mother's hawk-eyed scrutiny.
As Daenya sat down, Elsyeris left her to it, and approached Aegon and Arenya.
"My Lord, My Lady," she said, with a respectful curtsy. "How fare you both today?"

"Well enough, I suppose," Baelor says, sitting down with a plate for himself. "It certainly is odd, isn't it? I don't think I've ever eaten dog before..." He nibbled on a bit of the meat, a confused look on his face before his eyebrows shot up in mild surprise. "Well. The seasoning certainly is interesting." Setting his fork down, he folded his hands in front of him, "Nevertheless, I would like to discuss something with you. A business transaction, if you will." Aemon frowns slightly as he takes another bite of the poor animal that was on his plate. "What type of business transaction do you have in mind?" He asks curious as to what his cousin has in mind.

"A way that the nation can profit from your job," Baelor responded, tapping his index finger against the table, "Something that I've been cooking up or a little while. Are you familiar with the concept of a Prisoner's Carnival?"

"Of course," Aegon agreed. Duty was important to the crown prince, though he thought it a touch amusing that it was his unattached aunt who was instructing him on it. Before he could remark on Arenya's less than resounding endorsement of his sisters, Elseyris approached them. This was... Visenya's little sister, Aegon thought. They had not spoken a great deal in the past. "Elseyris," Aegon greeted her in return. "I am quite well. Plenty of good food, good drink, and my family all around me. Two out of three isn't bad." He smiled with the joke to break the ice. Many of his siblings disliked the daughters of the traitor Aenar, Aegon knew, but he could not share their feelings. They had just been girls at the time, after all, and were not responsible for whatever made Aenar turn rotten.

"I am Lady Visenya Targaryen." She frowned slightly, missing the style of princess. "But Blackwood?" she said, looking thoughtful. "I must confess I am not familiar with that name. Are you from very far away?" She eyed a servant passing with wine, just out of her reach.

"Oh?" Aemon says somewhat surprised, "My job is to punish those who have broken the laws of the land and those who our king feels no longer need to be alive. It isn't that much of a profitable area. But no, I have not heard of this Prisoner's Carnival concept." Aemon states.

She raised her goblet slightly, before taking a small sip. "How goes the good fight?"

Well nephew, in earnest I don't but I do that my brother and sister are happy together and will rule because they know the importance of their roles to the Realm." She then noticed the young girl approach them, Elseyris. She watched as Aegon spoke with her. In truth she could not blame the child for the actions of her father but she didn't think Aegon should be conversing with her either.

But we love the Seven gods of the Andals no more than your own family. My own gods are the old gods of the First Men. So you have never been to the Riverlands then?"

Aegon clinks his cup to Elseyris' when she makes her small toast. "It goes on," Aegon answers. "There is reason to believe the end is in sight, but our generals have said the same and been wrong before. I imagine once this business with the Tyroshi is over, father will gather our forces for a concentrated push. It is what I would do."

Having parked Tyraxes in the courtyard, as per usual, Rhaena went straight to where the party for the Tyroshi envoy was taking place, having been told by a guard upon request. She entered the room in the same Leather trousers she had rode in on, but did not wear the leather torso armour she often frequented, her hair was in a braid and not terribly messy, but there was a dash of dirt on her forehead, but only a small mark.
After scanning the room for King Maegor, and not seeing him, she approached her mother.
"Your Grace," she greeted her mother from behind, and waited to be acknowledged, not caring at the present moment if she was talking to someone else.

Rhaella turned from her conversation with Aemy and her face reflected shock when she saw her middle daughter. She had not expected to see Rhaena for at least a few weeks yet.
"Rhaena!" She hugged the girl in sheer relief and though she thought that Rhaena's outfit was not quite appropriate for the occasion, she was so relieved she didn't comment on it. "How is it that you are back home? Is there something wrong at Bitterbridge?" She frowned as she released Rhaena. "Or did we triumph at last?"

"I've never left the eastern coast, my lord. The Riverlands are just some faraway green, wet place where men go to wage war on eachother. I have been to Dorne, and I wll wager thst it is the opposite of your homeland." She laughed cheerfully. "As for your old gods, I can see why they would side with dragons. Both the old ways of Westerosand the ancient ways of Valyria would let men live free, though the Seven would have men bowing and scraping and begginng to be absolved of their transgressions."

"Nothing I can really talk about here at the moment, but nothing had happened yet but potential things are happening I can tell you later in private but I just needed to bring some. Urgent news to father, and then return back as soon as possible. Do you know where he is? I thought he might be here meeting the envoys, but apparently not." Rhaena said, a little frustrated with her mother grabbing her, but she reasoned she must just be worried.

"They're rather foppish looking, with that colored hair of theirs." Aegon did not like that the crown had to resort to foreign mercenaries to fight its own wars, but this was not the right time nor place to air that thought. "Still, I hear they are strong enough fighters."

Arenya listened, sipping her wine and chuckled to herself at her nephew's reference to the Tyroshi. She then noticed her niece, Rhaena, enter into the room. Areanya thought she was not due back for quite sometime.
She watched their faces as she spoke to the Queen. Then she excused herself from her nephew and young cousin. Before she departed, she whispered to her nephew,"You a prize among men, be wary of those who's company you keep." She smiled at him and departed the affair without much notice from her sister.

Daenya will be duelling one of them tomorrow, so we shall indeed see what manner of fighters they are. Will you come to watch?"

"That is exactly right. We worship as we please, we who follow the Old Gods. We've no septs or temples, only the heart trees and godswoods. The Old Gods see all. They do not require a house. I will not pretend to know about the gods of Valyria." He grinned at her. "A dragon is almost a god made flesh, I believe. There is nothing like them." He will be here soon, I do not doubt. Sit and rest, he would not refuse to meet his guests. Elsewise you'll have to run to his chambers and see if he is there. I've not seen him for several hours."

Aegon smiled at Arenya's final compliment, though he wondered if it was meant to apply to his present company. He wishes her well as she goes.
But Elseyris' next words catch him by surprise. "A duel!" Aegon exclaimed. "Gods, how has she managed to offend one of them so gravely already?"

"I shall do that, I can hardly discuss it with him here. "Rhaena said, thinking the civil war was a bit more important right now than a welcoming party. She turned to go, but felt a twang of guilt with being short with the queen.
"I shall keep him as long as possible, and then I shall be down myself while Tyraxes rests, I may even wear a dress for you." With that she left again, off in the direction of her parents chambers.

"You are right, and to be on dragonback is to feel godlike oneself, though it may be heresy to say such a thing. Perhaps one day you'll be lucky enough to charm your way into a moonlit ride on dragonback," Visenya said with a small coy smile, reaching out to brush a stray hair from his shoulder, then drawing bacl as if uncertain. "I'm sorry if I overstepped my bounds, there was just a bit of hair, there..."

"A duel!" Aegon exclaimed. "Gods, how has she managed to offend one of them so gravely already?" "I'm not sure it has come from an offense, though he was, apparently, slightly over-familiar with her. Perhaps that is it. Or perhaps it is all just for fun. I don't really understand half of the fights we Targaryens pick for ourselves." She looked contemplatively down into her wine, then back up to Aegon; "What did Arenya say to make you smile then? Getting you to do that is not usually an easy task, so it seems."

His smile widened and he put his hand over hers, holding it still. His hands were large, his fingers long and nimble with a swordsman's callus.
"I have always wished to feel like a god. Fortunately, I know ways to make a woman feel like a goddess, ways that don't require a dragon. I'll show you if you let me ride your dragon."

"It must be one of her moods again," Aegon mutters. He loved all his sisters, but Daenya was the one he understood the least. "I just hope she hasn't angered anyone important."
"Oh, hmm? It was only a compliment, it would be vain of me to repeat it." Aegon frowned suddenly, his gaze looking out somewhere beyond Elseyris. "Who is that your sister is talking to?"
