"I await your pleasure, kind Sir."
Elseyris curtsied to Rothio, then took her leave, making her way to Daenya.
"Cousin, a moment of your time, please?"

Aemy looked skeptical. "Mother. Do you actually propose to control who enters their bedchamber and who doesn't? If you don't marry them off, those girls will start popping out bastards faster than you can blink. I'd be shocked if either one was still maiden - well, perhaps that innocent Elseyris over there, but I will bet a hundred gold dragons that Visenya isn't. You can't control whether or not they'll have children, unless we keep them under watch and make them drink tansy tea every day. But if we marry them off, we can control the father of their children." "I could lock them in Maegor's Holdfast well enough," Rhaella sighed. "Not that I want to, truly, but it is you and your siblings I'm thinking of. Those two girls are a threat to us. And besides, not all women have children. Your aunt Arenya has none. I am as worried as you, but I do not want those girls marrying anyone we cannot trust. If they must marry at all. But I don't wish either of them to marry Aegon, either. Your brother has three sisters. He can do better than a traitor's seed."

"Thank you," said Elseyris, with genuine gratitude, though feeling conscious of how out of her element she felt in such a delicate outfit. "The Tyroshi Ambassador would like to see a dragon, so I offered to show him mine, but he would rather not go into the dragon pit. Would you be so kind as to accompany us when the time comes?"

Daenya looked over to the ambassador, then back to Elseyris. "Of course I would like to accompany you. When will you be showing him Nenyan? I am also looking for an excuse to ride Vandaras, so just let me know."

"They're not a threat, yet," Aemy said. "But that could change. And of course they're not marrying Aegon. I'm marrying Aegon." Rhaella smiled. " Are you? You seem very sure about that." She fixed her gaze on her daughter. "Has Aegon spoken of the matter? Has your father?"

We could take him out for a ride, try a lap or two around the hill. I think I can get Nenyan to let him ride with me, wouldn't that be a lark!" Elseyris smiles broadly and playfully at her cousin. "Have you spoken with the Ambassador yourself? He is...intriguing."

Visenya thought she.heard her name mentioned, though she could not be certain in the crowd. She scowled briefly, before wiping her features clean of the nasty look. Spreading lies, no doubt, about her poor departed father, whose only crime was loving the bottle overmuch. Traitor, they named him, when it was they who were descended from traitors. She turned to the nearest man and at once began to chat with him in earnest. "Is this not a marvellous party? I am sure the ambassador is most honored." The young man standing nearby grinned wolfishly at her. "Aye, it's marvellous indeed. Especially now. But the Ambassador's party looks rather foolish like that, I reckon, don't you? Such silly hair." The young man had dark brown hair, almost black, and blue eyes. He was very handsome, perhaps twenty years old.

"Neither of them have spoken of it," Aemy said, as if the matter was already decided. "But I'm the woman for Aegon, I know it. I've known it since Lannisport." "Then I hope your brother knows it too. It must be his own decision, not yours. Your father will need to approve, as well. You realise your sisters have as much chance as you do? Let us not count them out until you are saying the vows."

"I spoke to one of the other Tyroshi, who was a nice enough man, though he was quick to heap compliments on me."

"Well, I've never met a Tyroshi before, only heard little things about them. He looks so different to us, they all do, but he has such bearing, and is so courteous. I had expected them to be more...savage, with their curvy swords." She briefly glanced around the room, noticing she had started to blush a little again, talking about the Ambassador. "Which one was heaping the compliments? Is that what they normally do? Perhaps he just liked you?"

"That one," Daenya said, pointing at Valio, while taking a sip from her wine. "He had an easy charm; no doubt he is used to talking to young ladies." She grinned. "I will be duelling him tomorrow."

"Oh no, I don't know how to use one of those," Daenya said, shaking her head and finishing her wine. Her cheeks had gone more red now and she felt a bit tipsy. "If you want you can come watch!"

I wonder how the custom ever got started. They look like a legion of peacocks." She set aside her empty glass. "Now, my lord, would you favor me with your name?"

Baelor, having finished his conversation with the Tyroshi ambassador, found himself a goblet of wine and took a long drink before approaching Aemon, "Hello, Cousin. How are you finding the festivities?"

"Decent." Aemon says looking up from his plate at his cousin. "I never did get accustomed to the cuisine of the Tyroshi. And how are the festivities going for yourself?" He asks.

"Well enough, I suppose," Baelor says, sitting down with a plate for himself. "It certainly is odd, isn't it? I don't think I've ever eaten dog before..." He nibbled on a bit of the meat, a confused look on his face before his eyebrows shot up in mild surprise. "Well. The seasoning certainly is interesting." Setting his fork down, he folded his hands in front of him, "Nevertheless, I would like to discuss something with you. A business transaction, if you will."

"Possibly," Aegon acknowledged. "My father may be making for me to make a decision as well. As heavy-handed as he is in most things, he does not seem to care much for his relations' marriages." "Oh do not think he is not taking notice." Arenya drank deeply from her goblet again," This war is what keeps most of his attention, he is watching and waiting." "He is weighing the importance of all things. Who and why we should marry them and if it will advance our family."" "Perhaps," Aegon allowed. "It has consumed most of my attention lately as well. Perhaps too much. I should not wait too long before marrying, it would be bad for the stability of the realm." His mother was right on that point, at least. He looked around the feasting hall. Most of his female relations were present, save for his sister Rhaena off in the Reach.

"It is never too much for a young man to occupy himself with a choice of a wife", she looked at him,"as you stated it would be bad for the Realm. The Realm, not you."
She watched him look about as the servant cleared her plate and refreshed her wine,"You have to start making decisions based on that, Aegon, not your personal feelings. You are to be the future king, after all."
Arenya smiled and sipped her wine,"Anyone of your sisters is good choice. Well... I guess..."

The lack of movement left Elseyris at a loss. "Shall I take my leave, My Lady?" Daenya laughed. "Oh silly me, I am so sorry. I was just a little lost in thought there." She smiled pleasantly. "Please, let me know when the ambassador decides to see your dragon." She nodded and walked off to find a seat.
