Tyraxes replied with a jet of flame of its own, directly in Aerion’s face. The fresh dragon’s flames do little damage to older dragon, but it is more out of spite than anything at this point. Vermilion rapidly flies to the aid of the queen, fresh from slaying Edmund and his mount.

As Aerion rears its head back from the flames, Tyraxes returns to tearing up its belly, now pulling entrails out with its teeth.

Valarr screamed at the nearest guards. "Where is the King!? Where are his dragon riders?" He pointed up at the battle above them. "The white cloak! They need help!"

Aerion breathes its last, eyes dimming as Tyraxes disembowels him over the smoking sea below. Brandon falls to his death to join his staunch ally and hated foe in the briny deep, his duty complete in this life.
(Brandon and Aerion die)
In a chair on the porch of his stately manse on the island, Winhaerys Edoryon, the Master Saddler of Dragonstone watches the carnage in the air above. A single tear rolls down his cheeks for each fallen dragon. When the fourth had dripped onto the verdant grass beneath his feet, the death rattle escaped his lips, the Maestro slumping forward in his chair in peace.

Valarr saw a dragon and its a rider plummet to the ground. He couldn't make out who. Then another fell, its White Cloak fluttering as it fell.
"No!" he breathed. He looked around at the men on the battlements, many of whom were blood-splattered and breathing heavily. THe dead and dying men laying sprawled around the battlements and down in the courtyard indicated that there had been a battle in the Citadel as well. And a battle that was not long over.
"Where is the King? Where is Aegon?" he roared in anguish.

Rhaena wastes no time in directing Tyraxes down, and waved at Laena to follow suit, doing a preliminary sweep over the remaining troops to let them know the dragons were able to attack then, and then she set Tyraxes to land on in the courtyard.
"Aegon is dead," she shouted, " I am rhaena, his sister and wife, his next on line. You will lay down your weapons and surrender to me, or you will all burn." She continued, eyes mostly on the unknown remaining rider, whose dragon Trajan had blown then bottom jaw off.

Valarr had taken off from the battlements as he saw two dragons descending towards Dragonstone. It would not do to be caught on the ground. The young Targaryen had learnt already that Aegon was dead and the manner in which he had died - at the hands of his own sister and wife. He had also learnt the identity of the white cloak. The Lord Commander of Aegon's Kingsguard.
Vriskaranea hovered in the air, far enough away from Laena and Rhaena, but close enough to the ground for Valarr to be heard. The young dragon-rider was full of rage and grief and yes... shame. His father's friend was dead. If only he had known.
He pointed an accusing finger at Rhaena, down below him in the courtyard, while keeping a wary eye on the other hostile dragon.
"The King is dead." he said in a ringing voice. "Let all men know that he died at the hands of his own sister. His own wife!"

"Yes, I killed Aegon. But only after he attacked me, with four guards, himself and a Kingsguard. His own wife. His own blood. The mother of his child." Rhaena said, putting a hand on her stomach. To emphasise the point. "All for the life of a traitor? A woman who plotted to kill me." She went on, "and yet I still live."
She had Tyraxes turn sideways, to the men on the ground as she prepared to take off.
"But I am done wasting words, throw down your swords, embrace me as your queen, or embrace your own destruction." She said and with that had Tyraxes take flight once more, intent on the young dragon rider. This day seemed to be never ending.

"He was your liege lord!" cried Valarr, not for her benefit, but for the benefit of the men listening below.
There would be a day to fight and avenge Aegon, but outnumbered for the moment, it would not be this day.
Vriskaranea was already someway in the air and the moment Rhaena made some motion of a move towards them, Valarr turned his dragon and flew upwards and westwards towards the clouds. He had a significant lead upon her that he hoped was enough.

The men were thrown into confusion, and anxiously watched the dragonriders. Laena, however, immediately followed Rhaena. She didn't know Valarr but she saw in him a threat to her granddaughter's reign and the new dawn of Valyrian tradition and magic. So she would do all she could to ensure Rhaena's rule went unchallenged. Vermilion flew after Valarr with his wings beating, gearing himself up to let loose his flame.

Round 1
The female dragonriders give chase, spurring their dragons on faster in their attempt to catch Valarr. Unfortunately, however, Vriskaranea is badly injured and her pain makes her flight more difficult, despite her attempts to evade Tyraxes and Vermilion. Rhaena is not quite fast enough, but Laena and Vermilion soon reach Valarr. A roar from the red dragon signals that escape is now unlikely. Vermilion prepares to attack with claws and fangs bared. Should he be able to grab Vriskaranea, it seems likely that Tyraxes will soon catch up.

Valarr flew Vriskaranea trying to evade the larger dragon and still trying to make the cover of the clouds. He brandished his sword at the rider, determined that if the larger dragon caught Vriskaranea he would try and strike the red dragon's rider from their saddle. Vriskaranea prepared to launch a fire stream against the larger dragon.
"Let me go or you will die this day!" he called to the pursuing rider with far more bravado than he felt.

Round 2
Valarr and his mount attempt to attack Laena and hers. At first it seems that the old lady is unarmed, but as the dragons close on one another, Valarr sees steel glint in Laena's hand. Vriskaranea's fire goes wide, her aim marred by the terrible injury she suffered earlier, and Vermilion uses his greater strength to claw and bite at her. He grips her hard, tearing great gashes into her flesh. And then Tyraxes joins the fray and likewise begins to attack Valarr's dragon. In the confusion, hearing his dragon's cries of pain, Valarr attempts to strike Laena but he cannot reach across the backs of their dragons, and realises that the only way he can do it is by attempting to jump onto Vermilion's back. In the meantime, his own beast is wounded.

Round 3
Valarr jumps across to Vermilion's back. He makes the transition without too much difficulty, landing securely on the red dragon's back, though of course he has no chains to hold him in the saddle. But Vriskaranea's luck has run out. Alone and in agony, she cannot hold up against two dragons, even though Vermilion is now thrashing in an attempt to be rid of Valarr. Valarr advances on Laena, who brandishes a long dagger with a grim expression, and calls to Rhaena for assistance.
Tyraxes is in fine form now. His sharp claws dig deep into the enemy dragon's brain and his fangs bite down. Tyraxes shakes her viciously, snapping her neck. When Tyraxes lets go, Vriskaranea plummets down to smash into the courtyard, but she is already dead. Valarr is now entirely alone with two enemy dragons and their riders, with only his sword to aid him.

Rhaena looked over at Valarr on the back of vermillion, and did not trust tyraxes to properly distinguish between Laena and Valarr when he attacked and so got close to the side, and notched an arrow, aiming for the mans head.

Valarr attacked Laena with his sword, using his superior athletic ability and reach to strike out at the old woman and at the same time keeping out of the range of her dagger. He saw Rhaena notch her bow, and responded by moving quickly, never staying still, trying to make himself as difficult a target as possible for both of his enemies. This was aided by the moving Vermilion.

Round 4
Rhaena loosed but her aim was not as good from dragonback. Laena cursed as Rhaena's arrow struck her in the arm. She barely missed avoiding Valarr's blade. Vermilion's writhing helps to unbalance Valarr, who has to work hard to keep his footing if he wishes to avoid falling to his death. The fight continues. Laena calls to Rhaena "Get Tyraxes to pluck him off!"

Valarr continued to swing at Laena with his sword, using his superior athletic ability and reach to strike out at the old woman while still keeping out of the range of her dagger. He fumbled for his own dagger which young noblemen always wore and drew it in his opposite hand. He continued to move quickly, never staying still, trying to make himself as difficult a target as possible for both of his enemies. He could see the other dragon moving in and tried to manoeuvre putting Laena between himself and Rhaena.

Tyraxes attacks Valarr, scoring bloody lines in his back. The young man is knocked off his feet as Vermilion writhes beneath him and attempts to dislodge him.
