The party camped for the night on the other side of the river and as soon as darkness fell, Daenya decided to act.
She found her best dress, a satin thing of crimson, and made sure she had enough jewellery on that it'd add to her looks but not distract. She sighed, before leaving her tent and making her way to Baratheon's.
"May I enter?" She asked to the inevitable guards who were positioned without.

She is allowed entry, with a bow from the guardsmen. Lord Borros waits inside, dressed in a simple tunic and breeches with a goblet of chilled wine in his hand. His squire was busy in the corner, laboriously scrubbing the brains and blood from his master's fine plate.
"Freedom seems to agree with you, Princess Daenya." he greeted her warmly.

"Freedom?" Daenya asked, sparing a brief glance at the squire, before facing Baratheon. "Hardly, seeing as you're taking me to yet another prison. There is no love lost between myself and my bastard brother."

"Forgive my bias, but I would argue anything is better than the hospitality of the Dornish." he chuckled, drinking deep from the goblet. "Especially if your time there was as trying as you claimed."

"Anything is better than what the Dornish offer as hospitality," Daenya replied, calming her features a little. "I will be frank with you... all I want is to see Rhaegar, as well as Princess Sarella, dead. They killed Vandaras..." She looked away, pushed back the anger and sadness she felt.

"We share that in common then." he replied with a broad smile, pouring a goblet of wine for her in an effort to relax her mood. "War with Dorne will follow shortly and Sarella has a fondness for fighting at the front. I intend for this to be her last campaign."

Daenya studied Baratheon with an intrigued if slightly cautious expression. "Well then we have a mutual intent, which makes things easier."
She found another chair and sat, legs crossed and hands in her lap. "I promised Sarella that Dorne would burn and yet I cannot fulfill that without a dragon."

"Pitch and a torch?" Borros offered with a chuckle. "I know little and less of dragons, but as His Grace has reiterated his need for them I am sure he would do all in his power to facilitate your reacquisition of one."

"Then I look forward to discussing that with my brother," Daenya replied, an evident hint of irony in her voice. "What news of Aegon and my sister? And mother? You can understand that news has not reached me in Dorne."

"The last reliable news received places them at Dragonstone." Borros informed her, before a long pause. "Your mother unfortunately died shortly after your father."

Daenya face paled and she found herself standing. "Dead... what?! How did mother die?!"

"In a duel with His Grace." Borros said simply, not bothering to sugarcoat it.

Suddenly she sat again, her face hot and her eyes narrowed. Daenya fought back a scream, clenching her fists as her anger welled up.
"Maekar... and you are taking me to this man?"

"I am, not that I have much choice in that matter." Baratheon said, a touch of sympathy in his eyes. "He is the king and he paid your ransom."

Daenya clenched her teeth. "Then if Aegon is at Dragonstone, Maekar will no doubt see fit to keep me as far away from there as possible."
She closed her eyes to try and calm herself, wondering if she maybe should just go ahead and follow her sister and her parents to where they waited in the halls of the gods.

"I am certain that is a problem he means to address sooner rather than later." Baratheon sipped from his goblet, watching her expressions with interest. "With more ships, more men, and larger dragons there are certainly options available to him."

"I hope he, nor you, do not expect me to be of any help to my bastard brother," Daenya put simply, opening her eyes again. She didn't take Baratheon for a man who would really care too much about what she said or how she put, and she couldn't find it in herself to be cautious.
"I am sure that much is obvious."

"My task is to get you to Kings Landing safely." Borros replied with a shrug and knowing smile. "I have already deviated from my orders enough. What you do once there is not my concern."

"Even if I am to be your wife?" Daenya asked, an eyebrow raised. "As for deviation, that much is obvious. I don't suspect you will let me anywhere near Rhaegar."

"What you do when we are wed is your concern as well." Borros replied with a laugh. "I have not the time, inclination, or patience to busy myself controlling a wife. I simply hate to be bored and you do not seem like the type boredom finds often."
"As for Rhaegar, the king gave me no orders regarding him."

Daenya thought about asking him whether he would care if his wife decided to try and escape to Dragonstone and join her brother but decided to hold back.
"Then you nor your men will stop me from walking into his tent and killing him?" She asked instead.

"As with handing you the sword, I have nothing to gain from that at present." he answered, offering the same dashing smile he had before, though this time without the unsettling addition of blood on his face.

"And is it you want?" Daenya asked him, expecting of course the usual. "There is little I can offer you but you know that as well."

"I am quite aware." Baratheon replied with a sly smile. "For the moment, you can tell me of your travels."
