The dragon was not as responsive to Valarr's actions as it had been previously, but with a final shake of its head, Virskaranea eventually bows, clearly accepting the rider as its master, and leapt into the air with a roar.

Valarr felt a rush of exhilaration as Vriskaranea leapt into the air and realised that the dragon was finally his. He guided the dragon down back to its cave in order to finish off its meal, before saddling it. With a wave to the nearby Dake who had watched the entire bonding he set a course for the castle.
