Aerion strode into the hall with slow and deliberate steps, his armored boots crunching broken plates and wooden fragments under his immense weight. He bent and picked up a scrap from the floor and examined it, allowing silence to surround them. Finally he spoke, "Lord Greyjoy." He murmured, allowing the chunk to fall from his hand, its clattering sound echoing throughout the stone hall. "I had come to see that your spirit had not broken, but I see that it is not your spirit I should be worried about. Lady Cuy will be most upset." The old reaver pulled his mace from the broken table with a grunt, turning to face Aerion with eyes filled with rage.
"Fuck Lady Cuy!" he snarled, taking a menacing step towards Strongdragon. "Fuck you dragons, fuck this alliance, and fuck your cunt of a queen! You threw me and mine to wolves!"

Aerion raised his nose to look down on the Kraken. "And you deserved nothing less." He spat. "Recall the tale of Harren the Black if you will, and remember to whom you speak."

Breaking from her thoughts, she heard Baelon shouting his greeting. Arenya looked at him with a small smile,"No not as of yet, Bae. Not as of yet." She hugged him,"I can't stay, I have to bring word to Prince Aegon about what transpired here." Her eyes then became sad,"Rhaella wishes it and besides her I am the only one who is able to ride. And then after I give him counsel, I have to see if he wants me to bring word to the King." "I am to be a in a messenger capacity for now." Sighing deeply, her brow furrowed,"She's thinking about asking for a peace with that bastard!!! You and I both know that Maegor will not stand for that. Is she mad or grief stricken?" "Is there much of a difference between the two?" Baelon asked her. "But don't worry. There won't be peace. Even if we offered, the Faith will never accept. Not unless we pack up and leave these shores."

Aerion raised his nose to look down on the Kraken. "And you deserved nothing less." He spat. "Recall the tale of Harren the Black if you will, and remember to whom you speak." [Novice Intimidation] The Lord of the Iron Islands did not even flinch, staring daggers at Aerion as his hands curled around his mace.
"I suppose I should thank you for showing me what to expect from allying with dragons." he seethed. "I was promised an alliance and pillage of the Arbor's riches, yet what do I have to show? My fleet is in splinters and the Arbor untaken because you lot ran like cravens rather than pay the iron price."

Aerion grit his teeth. "Do not associate me with that ilk. Cravens they may be, but I am of a different sort. I was born for victory. Now tell me true Greyjoy, from where do the greatest warriors of the realm hail?"

"As did you and yours. Only a fool would have stayed to die. But you and I, we are not fools, Greyjoy. I would take the fight back to the enemy. And I want the might of the Ironborn at my side."

"Had we been properly supported by you greenland bastards, whether than left to face the might of the Redwyne fleet alone, the day would have been own!" he replied. "I'll not sacrifice any more of my ships on a dragon's word."

"Then heed my actions. A night assault on whichever port Redwyne's fleet chose not to flee to. The combined might of my dragon and your fleet, taken by surprise..." Aerion couldn't help but chuckle at the idea. "Well it would be a slaughter. From there you do what you do best. Reave and rape the Arbor's coasts and I shall do the same. Avoid the Redwyne fleet in direct battle. We shall bleed them dry."

"I was made the promise or pillage and plunder once already." Harlan replied, dismissively. "It is a fool's errand, moreso with my fleet in shambles. I hope you die with the rest of your ilk."

"The way of the warrior is war Greyjoy." Aerion Strongdragon took a step back and released Skullcrusher, feeling the weight of the mighty warhammer in his hands and relishing in it. "You shall lead your fleet against my foes, or I shall find a captain who can."

"You do not command me." the Greyjoy replied with venom, knuckles turning white as he gripped the handle of his kraken mace. "A crown does not sit your head, so you will speak to me with the respect owed to a Lord Paramount. Proposition the survivors of your precious Velaryon Fleet, for the Iron Fleet sails home at first light."

Not unless we pack up and leave these shores." "There is a difference", she frowned,"Being mad, she would seek a peace to keep her kin from dying in something she thought was needless and against our cause to rule." Touching Tanis' muzzle,"Grief stricken would cause her to have us fight and die well in battle, as we should. Not running as we did earlier." She climbed onto the saddle and prepared her chains, then she looked down at him,"We need to win, put those critons under our foot and continue to live as we should."
"There is no negotiation for that. The undeniable truth that all in this land should know by now is... You either pledge fealty to your King or you will die by his hands."
"And we are his hands..." Arenya nodded to him with a small smile. Whispering a command to Tanis, she lowered her helm and Tanis easily took off heading to deliver her message.

Orys paced around the yard of Sun House. His mind was a whirl of thoughts. He'd almost died and his dragon had suffered a wound. 'So, this is war,' he thought, 'and the seven hells can take it.'

Baelon waved goodbye to Arenya as she took off, mulling over her words. He took a swig from his wineskin, and set off to find Lady Cuy.

He found her in the kitchen, her clothes spattered with flour as she prepared a loaf of bread for the oven, while her sisters peeled vegetables and stirred soup. Lady Arwyn looked up at once as Baelon entered.
"Oh thank the gods!" She cried. "I was worried about you! What happened?"

"Coward!" Aerion roared as he darted forward, swinging Skullcrusher with unbound fury. [Noteworthy Warhammer] Greyjoy sneered at Aerion contemptuously, sidestepping the younger man's reckless attack with ease. He bore a flanged mace, with the head in the shape of a Kraken and the tentacles formed wicked spiked flanges designed to pierce steel plate, which was exactly what they did. As Lord Greyjoy sidestepped out of the path of Aerion's massive hammer, he swung his the flanged mace at the younger man's side, striking true. There was a crunch of steel, as Aerion's armor compacted under the blow, and he felt the searing pain where the spikes pierced his flesh. He stumbled to the side, and when he turned back around, he saw Lord Greyjoy in a defensive stance, waiting for his next attack. "Are you so fool as to charge to your death, dragonspawn?" he asked with a sneer. "My fleet will not sail anywhere but the Iron Islands." [Aerion takes a Heavy Wound]

"We lost," Baelon told her, "Two dragons injured, I think. Many more men killed. How I survived, I'm not sure." He managed a wry smile before joking, "Whether that speaks to your favor's luck, or lack thereof, I can't decide."

"Oh gods!" She cried. "How horrible. I am please you are safe nonetheless, and I know your companions got back safely. I saw the Queen fly in, but what became of Seaskimmer? Is he...alright?"
She beckoned to her sister, indicating that the girl should tend the bread, while she focused her attention on Baelon.

Won't be able to fly for a time, but it will heal eventually." Baelon shook his head at the memory. "Swam us back to the ship. I don't know how he did it."

A shocked servant runs to fetch the queen, as the Lord Reaver loomed over Aerion.
"That all you've got?" he mocked. "Will need more than that if you're to marry one of my daughters."

Aerion emitted a low groan of both pain and defiance. "Do not presume to stand above me!" He thundered, grabbing his fallen warhammer and swinging it violently upwards at his foe.

Aerion's clumsy attack was impaired by his wound, although Greyjoy's second parry seemed much less effortless than the first. He still sidestepped, and cracked Aerion with the flanged mace again, but this time the barbs didn't pierce his armor quite so deeply, puncturing the plates on Aerion's left shoulder. The force of the blow sent him sprawling to the ground again, and Greyjoy's mace dripped blood onto the floor between them as he stood waiting for Aerion's next move.
