Prince Aegon sits his dragon, Glutton, in a barren field outside of King's Landing. He had earlier sent runners to inform the dragonriders flying to war with him to assemble in this location. Once they had all arrived, they would fly south together.

Elseyris guided Nenyan down to the field, galloping for a few steps upon landing, as the dragon's momentum slowed. She trotted him over to Glutton, drawing herself up alongside Aegon. She had readied herself according to Aegon's advice, and had been eager to show her preparedness by being the first to arrive.
"I'm ready, My Lord." she said, with seriousness in her voice, but with a barely concealed smile of excitement.

Azuria with Aemon on her back soon lands next to where Nenyan was standing. Azuria stands by her kid and being the doting mother that she was affectionately places the top of her head against that of Nenyan's neck in greeting. Aemon meanwhile glances around at those waiting and nods to both Prince Aegon and Lady Elseyris,

Smiling at Azuria's warm greeting of her little son, and Nenyan's happy trilling sound, Elseyris turns to give Aemon a respectful nod.

A grand tongue of fire and a triumphant roar marks Baelor's entrance as Vriskaranea swoops down onto Visenya's Hill. Baelor dismounts the Black Sapphire, keeping a hand on her in order to make sure she remains calm and doesn't eat half of his family, saying, "My apologies for being late. I needed to pick something up from the blacksmith's." He pulls out an arrow from one of the quivers on Vriskaranea's saddle, revealing a barbed head. "Should do wonders against the enemy armor, I think."

A cobalt blue dragon appeared in the sky soon after, orange horns gleaming in the morning sun. Skysong had risen from the Dragonpit eagerly, having seen his brother and mother saddled and readied for battle. He descended in a steep dive and landed opposite his mother Azuria, blue-grey smoke curling from his nostrils. Astride him was Aemy, armored in steel, a morningstar strapped to the saddle. In one hand she held Skysong's reins, in another the whip.
"Uncle," she greeted Ser Aemon and Ser Baelor each with a nod. She nodded to Elsie as well, and gave her brother a warm smile.

Rhaegar Targaryen, clad in unmarked black armor, was not far behind his uncle Baelor, flying in on his own dragon Vermax. If he was surprised at his younger sister's presence, he didn't show it.

Azuria watches as another one of her sons came down from the sky and landed beside her. In response to this Azuria gives out an affectionate growl towards her younger kid and mimicks the motion she had done previously with Nenyan by placing her head on his neck and rubbing it.

Skysong gave a low rumble in return and rubbed his head against his mother's. It was hard to tell a dragon's feelings most of the time, even for a dragonrider, but it was clear to the Targaryens that growing up in the Dragonpit had seemed to help maintain the bond between Azuria and her many sons.
Aemy ignored the dragons' greeting, instead eyeing Rhaegar Targaryen with surprise. She knew his sister Elsie had been invited because for some reason, Aegon had chosen to trust her and test her loyalty. But her brother? Aemy was not sure she liked this.

"Doron," Baelor muttered, causing Vriskaranea to lie down, curling around herself until she was needed again... or until some wiseass decided to try and touch her. He made his way towards his family, tapping the arrow he still held. "So, cousins. What's the plan?"

One, two, three, four. Aegon cleared his throat to give the flying orders, but then... five? "Cousin Rhaegar. I do not recall calling on you," Aegon said in a neutral tone.

"My uncle and youngest sister are here." replied Rhaegar respectfully. The seventeen year old cleared his throat. "I am squired to my uncle, so was hoping I could accompany him."

"Prince Aegon commands this army," Aemy said coldly. There were far too many of the traitor's family here for her liking already. "What prevented you from speaking with him first?"

Aegon frowned. Rhaegar had been essentially confined since his father's treason, Aegon knew, much like his two sisters. But where Aegon had gotten to know Visenya and Elseyris quite well recently, Rhaegar was still an enigma. If Aegon was to allow him into his army, they would need words first, and for that Aegon did not need an audience.
"Rhaegar, with me," Aegon says briskly. "The rest of you stay here. It shouldn't be long." With that Aegon spurs Glutton into the air, intent on only a short flight into the next clearing for a bit of privacy.

Rhaegar ignored Aemy, but nodded when Aegon commanded him to follow him. His dragon soared into the air behind Aegon's.

Aegon landed some distance away, his heavy dragon nearly shaking the earth on landing. He slides out of his saddle easily, landing on his feet. The crown prince waits for Rhaegar to do the same, then fixes him with a calm but measuring stare. "Why do you want to go to war?" Aegon asks frankly.

Rhaegar drew himself up and met his cousin's eyes. "I am a Targaryen." he said proudly. "War is in our blood." He looked past Aegon into the distance with unseeing eyes and said in a lower voice. "And how better to prove my loyalty than in defence of the Iron Throne?"

Aegon nods, slowly. "I cannot hold you accountable for the actions of your father. We are all our own men. But I would be naive not to acknowledge that there are some men who would try to use you against the throne, as the eldest child of your father."
Aegon thought, studying Rhaegar. After a time, he said, "Your sister gave an oath of loyalty to me before we assembled. I would have you do the same."

A great red dragon landed on the field as quietly as a beast his size possibly could, Daenerys in his saddle. She nodded at the others, but was obviously not too talkative this morning. Having seen Prince Aegon's and Rhaegar's dragons nearby, she figured they were working something out before leaving.
Mith acknowledged his mother with something akin to a nod, but did not seem to care whether most of the dragons on the field were his siblings or not.

"Of course, Elseyris," Baelor says with a wicked smile, "That's the general intent, at least. I meant the plan at large, our overall plan of attack. I'm hoping that Prince Aegon has something quite exciting in mind." He looked over at Aemy and offered another wicked grin, "Maybe something like Casterly rock all over again, hm?"

Daenerys, since she was near Baelor, decided to speak up. "You seem awfully excited to scorch folks, cousin," she told him in a neutral enough tone, as if they were all flying out for a hunt instead of battle. She gave Elseyris a brief knowing glance, but turned back to Baelor soon enough to offer him a sly smile as if nothing out of the ordinary had just happened.

"And you are not, Danerys?" He asks, turning around to face her, his eyebrow quirking in mild surprise, "Are you saying that you wouldn't be soiling your armor if you were in the Faith Militant's place right now?"

"If I knew what was about to happen.." she trailed off and took her time counting the dragons on the field, perhaps for the effect, before looking back to Baelor, "Most likely. They have no idea what's coming, do they?"

"They saw us bring the wrath of the gods down upon their heads at Casterly Rock," the archer responds calmly, "They probably expect us to bring dragons to the battlefield this time around as well."
