"I wish I wasn't married to him as well, but I had no choice, unfortunately. I have a little more freedom while he is away. I am still a hostage, but for now, I have a less unpleasant jailor."
Elseyris ran a hand through her hair, her brow furrowed in thought. After a few moments, she looked back at Megga;
"Tell you what, I will ask to go to Sunflower Hall. I shall have to think of a way to... 'sell' it to the King, but I will try, for you."

"Thank you," Megga said, very quietly. "I am much obliged to you. I don't see why you couldn't come. Arwyn's married to the king's brother, after all."

Elseyris could see exactly why the King would probably not allow her to leave, but could not bring herself to voice it.

Elsey returned the hug, glad to feel affection from someone again. She stroked Megga's hair slowly.
"You are such a sweetheart, Megga. Just be you, that's all you need do for me."

The younger girl smiled slightly. "I can't be anything else. Soon you must come have tea with me. Before Arwyn goes home anyway."

Elseyris held Megga's chin up slightly, gently, looking into her eyes;
"And I would love to have tea with you, and your sisters as well. Together."

"I understand, I feel the same. I am unsuited to a number of things about this life too," replied Elsey, thoughtfully.
"Don't lose heart, Megga dear, all will be well," she smiled gently.
"So, when shall we have this tea party?"

"Tomorrow would be good, I think. Arwyn wants to leave soon. She does her best to be happy, for Baelon, but she misses Sunflower Hall and she wants to get Lysa away because she's far too trusting and innocent to be raised here, and Arwyn is already worried about Leona's behaviour now she has nothing to do but wait for the princess to come home. I will see Arwyn will let me stay, if it will help you to have a friend here. I'm not nearly as high spirited as our sisters. I'm too afraid of everyone - especially the men - to get into trouble," Megga said with a shy grin.
