Orys nodded. "That'd work. I'm not to familiar with the castle layout, myself. Truth be told, I don't spend much time outside the yard or immediate court areas."

"You should explore it a little more; there are so many passages and hallways in the Red Keep, it's quite exciting," Daenya said, leading the way into the castle.

The Prince of Dragonstone strode into the yard, a dark cloud over his countenance. He takes up his brace of light throwing axes, hurling them one after another at a wooden quintain. Set your feet, then throw. Set, throw. Then walk over to the dummy to wrench the axes from the wood, and start over again. Aegon's work built up a sweat, but the numbing repetition calmed him little by little.

Daenerys walked into the yard, looking for someone to spar with. She saw Prince Aegon throwing axes at a target and stopped to watch briefly. What he did was the complete opposite of Dany's graceful and refined form of combat. "Pretty impressive," Dany called when he'd ran out of axes, having not wanted to startle him mid-fling.

Aegon turned to look at the newcomer. It took him a moment to place Daenerys Velaryon. He had memories of his sisters and Daenerys chasing each other across Dragonstone as children, occasionally tagging along after the older Aegon. But then Aegon had gone off to war and Daenerys to Braavos, and she certainly was not a little girl any longer.
"Daenerys?" Aegon said, half a question. He wiped his sweaty hair away from his forehead and took a drink from a waterskin. "Ah, forgive me," he gestured at his appearance. "I did not expect visitors, much less old friends."

"My prince," Dany greeted with a warm smile. "Old friends? You flatter me." Growing up with Rhaena had made her so used to being around the royalty that she sometimes went easier on the courtesies than perhaps would have been proper. "It is a good thing I saw you here; I did promise my mother I'd thank you for lifting the siege of Casterly Rock. I guess you will be leaving again soon?"

"I will," Aegon nodded, "South to Oldtown and to war. Hopefully for the last time. And you are welcome for Casterly Rock, though I did not do it alone." He takes another long drink from his waterskin, then catches sight of the slim sword on Dany's hip. "Are you a swordswoman now, Dany?"

"We prefer the term waterdancer," Dany replied. "Although I would not go against your throwing axes." She had no idea how good Aegon was when it came to moving targets, but it would have been an odd and unfair match. After a good minute of hesitating, she decided to bring up the Faith. "I went to your Sept the other day. It was quite nice," she admitted, smiling. "I never expected to find three of your kind there, though. Is your family warming to the Seven, then?."

Lord Commander Brandon Snow strode into the Yard, followed close behind by Princess Arenya. The yard was currently empty, but for a large sign, which was still dripping with red paint, next to a crate, upon which sat a small toy dragon.
The Sign Read:
WHOSOEVER CAN BRING THIS DRAGON TO BRANDON SNOW THE WHITE TOWER RECEIVES: 500 Gold Dragons A New Warhorse New Custom suit of Mail and a Castle-forged blade
He looked at Arenya. "Defend the Dragon for 48 hours. If the Dragon is taken and delivered to me, you fail."

Aegon's smile was genuine. "I'm glad you came as well, though I wish I had seen you."

She looked at the stuffed toy and then chuckled, "Alright, I'm game."
"No catches or loopholes", she asked. "I just have to stay right here and defend this dragon no matter who or how many show up?"

"No catches. No loopholes. If the Dragon isn't here when I return in 2 days, you fail. If it is, you pass this test and we move on." Brandon said.

"I was brought up by a follower of the Seven," Danenerys replied, although Lady Myrcella had never been overly religious and most of the servants had been followers of the Valyrian gods, as chosen by Lord Edric. "You see me now," she said with a small smile, as if that was just as good. "When are you going to the Reach?"

PRince Aemon strolls into the yard with a training halberd, and glances at the sign and notices the list of rewards for grabbing the stuffed dragon. He turns towards the Lord Commander and his older sister with a puzzled look, "This seems like a fun game, how do you play?" He asks with a slight sarcastic smile.

Brandon looked to Arenya and Aemon. "Those who wish the prize must take the Dragon to my solar. Arenya will try to stop you. The one who succeeds gets their prize." He said.

"Sounds easy enough. My blade is already castle-forged but a little extra spending money would certainly come in handy." Aemon remarks with a laugh. "But my curiosity is getting the better of me so I am forced to ask, why the game?" He adds.

Ser Jon Gaunt of the Kinsguard stood close by, arms folded.
"I'll go after the prince," he remarked with a smirk. "I enjoy games with swords."
He patted the hilt of his sword.

OOC - I have given Aemon and Maekar permission to roll these incidents if Arenya comes online and is ready to begin before Zack returns, if they are available to do so at the time. Aemon cannot roll for himself, of course. I'm still hoping we get some more PC adversaries. I will throw some more NPCs in there tomorrow too.

"This a little something the Lord Commander has set up to test my skills." She glanced over at Ser Gaunt, chuckling,"And I shall be with you directly, Ser..." Making herself ready, Arenya had never sparred with her little brother before. He was bigger then she was as far as strength and size, she had to figure a way to outsmart him. That pole weapon gave him a longer reach of distance. This fight was not going to won with their weapons, she had to use her brain. She closed her visor of her helm, Holding her long sword. In a jovial tone, she looked at the Prince,"Alright little brother, let's begin. I have to defend this poor helpless little dragon. (OOC: Aemon does have a practice weapon right?)

Aemon moved forward on light feet, halberd held in both hands, as he slowly circled his elder sister. It was Arenya who struck first, impatient and eager to prove herself to the White Swords. The first stroke of her longsword batted aside the razor-sharp steel of Aemon's spearpoint as his jab was thrown off-point, and his return stroke sent the steel flanges of the axehead swishing past Arenya's face as a warning forcing her a step back. Aemon jabbed forward again, and Arenya dodged to one side lithely moving away from the spinning blades, though still forced well out of range of her longsword. Aemon's third jab glanced off the plates of Arenya's left vambrace, leaving a neat scratch in the gleaming steel but not piercing it.
Arenya looked from her brother to the scratch, and then back to Aemon, a frown forming on her face. Aemon stared back at her, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw one of the castle squires sneaking toward the post upon which the dragon toy sat, and which he had maneuvered his sister away from over the course of their exchange. Aemon lashed out with the butt of his halberd, catching the lad in the side of his head, and sending him sprawling to the ground a few feet away from the dragon toy. While he was momentarily distracted, however, he felt cold steel slice across the back of his left knee. He stumbled to the ground, and felt the sword at his throat.
The young Prince tossed his halberd onto the ground and felt his leg with a groan, his hand coming away red. Arenya helped him back to his feet and took a look at the cut she'd given him; it might need stitches, but beyond that was little more than a scratch.

Arenya smiled at him,"Good show little brother." Still examining the scratch,"You will live to fight another day."
"And dragon is still mine to protect", she grinned.
