Tybalt watched Daenerys depart with a gallant smile and respectful incline of his head, before turning his full attention back to Elseyris.
"How could I refuse such a magnanimous offer?" he asked, though his cocksure grin faltered for a second.
Noticing the momentary change in his expression, Elseyris thought perhaps she had made a mistake, a thought her aunt had told her never to entertain, but a powerful one nonetheless. "Is everything alright, My Lord? I won't be offended if you would rather not. I am not so arrogant as to assume everyone shares my enthusiasm for dragons and flying. Perhaps some fine food and wine in the gardens when the weather permits would please you more?" "Not at all." he said in a soothing tone, the smile returning as he placed a gentle hand upon her shoulder. "It is just not an oppurtunity I ever dreamed to receive. I would be a fool to refuse."

"Well, you see, we have hired mercenaries from the Tyroshi and borrowed from the Iron Bank, but I had best not say too much," he replied. "Matters of state, my lady. Though I hope I do not offend you my holding my tongue on the matter." "Of course not," she replied, waving a hand. "If you do not wish to discuss matters of the state, then perhaps matters of the heart. What is you family like, my lord?"

"Father does not have favourites," they both knew that for the lie it was, "I have a very real chance now to lose his favour entirely," she remarked, but did not seem put off by the idea, "I enjoy a challenge, though."
Despite the dark nature of his comment, Rhaena smiled in response, "Quite rude, really, delivering messages this late at night, people will be abed and hardly expecting you at all,"

Trajan actually laughed at the ludicrous nature of that statement, a near unheard noise from the normally somber Knight Inquisitor's lips.
"I cannot imagine that, as he sees you as more dragon than most of us." he responded, with a tinge of admiration. "Now what challenge would that be?"
"One of the the boons of being a bastard is that few are surprised when your manners are lacking." he said with a devilish grin. "Perhaps I will visit your own chambers when I am done. Is it still rude if you are expecting me?"

"But my eldest son will be a man soon. He squires for one of the Marbrands, and his brother is a page at Hornvale. My daughter is very small still. I am fond of them all, but Kings Landing is no place for the younger children. It will be time enough when they are grown, I believe. And they are not dragons, after all."

The Dragon comment gave her cause to pause for a second, wondering if her secret was not as secret as she thought it was, not that it could be helped if someone did find it out. She looked round and then moved to stand closer to Trajan, so only he could hear her, unless others were actively listening, she was less bothered about spies and plans than she was about potentially jealous siblings "he has given me my first command, not that I need worry about facing him if I do fail, which I will not," she said, supremely confident.
She put a bit more space between them when she finished speaking, "Expecting or not, my door will always be locked to you, brother, though you do not strike me as one who abides much by the sanctity of a locked door, so you may as well consider it wide open to you." She grinned as she replied to him, putting her hands on her hips, "I hope you'll not be delivering a message though... that might make the night slightly more awkward."

"Congratulations, sister." Trajan said, in apparent earnest, though his cold eyes gave no sign that this had come as a surprise. "Do you hear that? I believe that sound on the wind is the rattle of the Faith quaking in their boots."
"A locked door matters little to one who prefers windows." he quipped, boldly closing the distance once more and placing a hand upon her lower back. "I have no messages for you as of yet, but who knows what the night will bring."

"Don't mock me, They should quake, I shall burn them as they cower in their Septs." she replied, with no real malice and hit his chest lightly in feigned chastisement, feeling the wet patch where he had wine spilt on him earlier, and looking at her slightly wet, slightly red hand was taken by surprise by him closing the distance.
"I would say who indeed, but I can't help but think you know exactly what might happen, you seem to know everything else," Rhaena replied, keeping their closeness and not moving away, tilting her face up to look him in the eye.

"I'm sure you have duties you must attend to, but if you find yourself with some free time, my offer shall remain open." "Shall we find ourselves some drinks? Perhaps you would share with me your views on these peculiar Tyroshi guests of ours?"

Tybalt said, placing a hand upon her lower back, perhaps slightly lower than was proper as he led her away from the dance floor. "I will take you up on your offer at the earliest convenience."
"The Tyroshi seem amicable enough. They drink well and laugh boisterously. My kind of folk."

"I was not mocking." Trajan whispered. "You are a dragon made flesh: fierce and beautiful. The son father wished he had. I would not wish to face you on the field."
"I know what His Grace deems fit for me to know. Lord Darklyn passes information to father and I only bear the messages that result." he explained, though offered no explanation to the damp spot on his doublet. "Though the work does have a tendency to make the blood run hot." he added with a licentious tone.

Growing up with Targaryens can be quite challenging.. not to mention dangerous. If your son is even half as handsome as you, he should consider himself lucky," she said. A second or two after that, she made a mental reminder to stop drinking wine so quickly on an empty stomach.

Elseyris was conflicted about the placement of his hand. She had, for so long, been the sort of girl to give a boy a black eye for trying to grope her, but she felt no desire to strike Tybalt for this over-familiarity. It actually pleased her, though she felt embarrassed to even admit it to herself. Growing up was so complicated, and this party was proving that very much. She had never felt so much like an awkward tumult of mixed feelings. She wondered how her sister managed to handle these things with such ease. She decided not to resist, for now. Best not to potentially cause a stir in public. "Shall we go spend some time with them then? The Ambassador is charming but a bit stiff, though his retinue seem a lively bunch. I'm sure they wouldn't mind us drinking and laughing along with them. Better than hanging around with the dullards." She turned to face him, letting his hand slide off her back, and took the hand in hers, gently leading him towards a small group of Tyroshi, who were laughing heartily and clinking their goblets together.

"I was not drinking the swill. One of the traitor's whelps had an accident. It seems drunken foolishness runs in the blood." he remarked, before grinning at some realization. "I am curious what your reaction would have been if that had been blood."

"Sometimes I think Grandmother may be right..." she said, trailing off, knowing Trajan would know of Laena's feelings regarding the fate of Aenar's wife and children.
"I am curious to know what your reaction would be if I told you that I thought it was," as it happened she hadn't it had not the consistency to be blood, unless he had been swimming shortly after being bloodied, but she did feel as if the comment was somewhat loaded, and that put her on edge.

She was flattering them a fair bit, but in the hope that it would lead to entertainment, as she was afraid that, if left to entertain Tybalt herself, she would eventually make a fool of herself. She winked to Tybalt, trying to convey that she thought him the proof that the Tyroshi were not the most charming people in the land.

"We are all of those things. Every man in this party is a skilled warrior and many are storytellers too." It was, however, obvious that their strength as storytellers lay chiefly in their ability to exaggerate everything by their flashy claims. "What is it you wish of us?"
