I will be better use assisting my daughter in her claim to Driftmark." He leaned close and kissed her forehead. "It will be better for you if I am not there, I promise. I will only get in the way."
He looked over at Alysanne. "My dear, please fly down and tell Ser Maric Royce that we will be needing his services presently. Perhaps you might advise him that Lady Taena's voice would be useful at court. Her friendship with your mother did not go unnoticed."
