Astride Seaskimmer, Baelon circled Dragonstone once before descending to the courtyard, Maekar's corpse still clutched in the dragon's talons.
"Fetch the King!" He cried to anyone in earshot as Seaskimmer landed, "The war is won!"

Aegon is readying Glutton in the courtyard upon word of wings spotted on the horizon. He does not dismount immediately when Seaskimmer lands, but stays in Glutton's saddle.
The young king stared at his brother's corpse, his utter surprise evident for a moment before he smoothed his features into a less expressive mask. "Lord Baelon," Aegon recovered, "You certainly know how to make an entrance."

"I do try my best, Your Grace," Baelon replied as he dismounted. He walked toward Aegon, unbuckling the belt that held Dark Sister as he went, and held the blade up as he knelt before his king. "A gift, from myself and cousin Daenerys."

Aegon dismounted to accept the blade, a part of his mind noting with curiosity that it was not Blackfyre. "Then it seems you and Lady Velaryon have done me a great service," Aegon replied. After a moment, he walked past the kneeling Baelon, crouching before Maekar's corpse, rolling him so that he could see his lifeless face. "How did this all come to pass?" He had sent his sister-wife to bring back the Velaryons, and somehow it seemed Maekar had been killed in the process. By Baelon Waters of all people, who was on a ship in the middle of the sea last Aegon had heard.

He rose, smiling, following Aegon over to Maekar's body.
"I'll let Dany tell the whole of the story. She knows the details better than I. But the simple version, they spoke, she stabbed him, Seaskimmer and I killed him, and we flew back here. It was a grand little adventure."

Brandon eyed Baelon and Lady Velaryon.
"Where is the corpse of Jon Gaunt?" He asked.

OOC: It looks like we did this out of order, I think this thread is being retconned or at least put on hold until things that should have happened earlier can play out.

OOC - sorry guys, this thread now has to stop as we are backtracking after all. I have locked the thread. Unless someone needs it for reference (please PM me if so) I will either delete or archive it.
