Ser Elyas limped to the door of Lord Fowler's room unassisted, although in some significant discomfort. He leaned on the door to catch his breath before rapping on the closed entryway twice in sharp succession.

A servant opened the door and looked at Elyas somewhat uncertainly. "Lord Fowler is very sick," he said. "He is sleeping at present, though he may wake soon enough."

"I can wait." Elyas replied, breathing somewhat heavily. He walked past the man through the door and scanned the room for a chair in which he could seat himself.

There was a chair, and it was fortunately padded. Lord Fowler lay unconscious, his breathing a little laboured but the blankets looked strange where his missing arm should have been. He muttered something in his sleep about fire and then he began to cry out in agony and fear.

He muttered something in his sleep about fire and then he began to cry out in agony and fear. Elyas appeared disquieted by Lord Anders' subconscious outburst, but said nothing. He sat back in the chair he had occupied and watched the sleeping Lord with clear concern.

It was perhaps half an hour before Lord Anders awoke with a tiny whimper. He blinked ajnd then looked up. "Elyas? Is that you, boy?"

Elyas nodded. "It is, my lord. I apologize for not coming sooner. I was bedridden myself." He indicated the red peeling skin on his face and the many bandages that remained on his body.

Lord Anders peered at Elyas. "Poor lad. Sorry about all this. If you wish I will petition the princess to let you go home to Skyreach."

Lord Anders peered at Elyas. "Poor lad. Sorry about all this. If you wish I will petition the princess to let you go home to Skyreach." "There is nothing left for me in Skyreach, my lord." Elyas replied. "I swore an oath to Sunspear. I cannot repeat my past mistake of rendering assistance to a Targaryen. The cost is always too great."

"As you wish. You will always have a home at Skyreach, if you change your mind. Just...be careful, won't you? Princess Sarella is a prickly creature."

"Of course, my lord." Elyas hesitated for a moment. "I will leave you to your rest. I hope your injuries heal quickly." His eyes drifted unintentionally to Ander's missing arm.

"I'll do well enough," Lord Anders remarked with a frown. "At least it's not my leg. Get some rest yourself, my lad. You don't look yourself either."

Elyas replied. "I had hoped to avenge your wounding. I shall have to increase my dedication to my swordsmanship. Farewell for now, my lord."

Lord Anders nodded and closed his eyes in dismissal. He was clearly still in a great deal of pain.

Ser Elyas limped quietly from the room, heading in the direction of his own quarters.
