Malcolm flies towards Dragonstone with all of his speed, pulling up short when he sees several dragons take flight from Dragonstone shortly before he was going to land.
Raising his voice, Malcolm raises his hands, stopping Ereban as the other dragons approach. "King Aegon! My name is Prince Malcolm Targaryen, I bring news from Kings Landing!"

Aegon urged his dragon upwards (along with some others, probably) towards where Edmund Waters already circled in the sky. He could barely hear the other man over the wind, and was surprised to find he did not recognize him. In return Aegon pointed at the ground, a clear sign that the new arrival should land -- though Aegon himself would not make any move to lower his altitude until Malcolm was on the ground.

Malcolm descended to the ground calmly, keeping his eyes up in case the others made any sudden dives at him. When he landed, Malcolm climbed off of Ereban, and then unclipped and dropped his weapons.

Hearing word of a dragonrider approaching Dragonstone, temper short from a few drinks, almost spoiling for a fight, Elseyris swept out of the castle and spurred Caraxes into the air. She swept him up towards the oncomer, circling him aggressively, until his descent was agreed. She landed Caraxes at a slight distance, but close enough that she could get to him easily if need be. She strode towards Malcolm, eyeing him suspiciously, her hand upon her flail's handle, but not unsheathing it yet.

Glutton landed heavily a short distance away, and once Malcolm slid off his dragon Aegon did so as well. He studied the man carefully in the fading light. "Do you bring a message from my mother?" Aegon asked.

"No, but I bring news of your mother. Queen Rhaella was in a duel with Prince Maekar when I left Kings Landing. One of the two is likely dead right now." Malcolm eyed Elseyris suspiciously, frowning. "Is this your wife?"

Malcolm's words about the duel struck a fearful chord in Elsey's heart.
Don't let that bastard win... she thought.
Despite her tension, the fact that this man brought such news made her expression soften slightly. He was not as clearly an enemy as she had suspected.
She chose not to answer his question, taking the soldierly stance she always did when in official defense of her King, as she had during her duties on the road to Oldtown.

"No," Aegon answered shortly. The other half of the man's statement was of far greater importance. "Why was there a duel? Does Maekar call himself king now?"

"I left before the duel was finished. He believes that Rhaella's actions in your absence have been remiss of her position." Malcolm reached down and grabbed his blades, tying the scabbards back to his armor.

"Who is your master then?" Elseyris piped up, taking a step forward.

Malcolm glared at Elseyris. "Perhaps you missed my introduction, woman. I am Prince Malcolm Targaryen, and you would be better off not talking to me in such a way."

"There are not many dragon riders I do not know, Malcolm Targaryen, but I do not know you. Have you come here on your own behalf, then?" Aegon asked him, studying the man again.

"I am a Targaryen too, and I ask if you serve Maekar," Elseyris replied evenly, meeting his gaze hotly at the way he spat out the word "woman".

Malcolm looked away from Elseyris to Aegon, ignoring her. "You were only ten when I was sent across the realm by my father, King Maegor the Cruel. It is not likely you would remember me, but I have come on my own behalf. Prince Maekar is a fool and the Queen should handle him with ease."

"Then why not stay to assist her?" Aegon asked him. "Why have you come here?"

Elseyris disliked his manner, but held her tongue. She watched and listened in silence.

"A duel, between Queen and Prince or not, is a sacred tradition. It was more important that you learned of Maekar's treachery as soon as possible. If he wins, he will likely keep the city under tight watch, so word may never have escaped and you would head home into a trap."

Although Maekar's treachery was already known, Elsey elected not to say so. Despite her spikiness, she did not wish to sow aggression with someone who was ostensibly an ally.

"I arrived here today," Aegon told the man, his tone harsher. "There is no way you could have known I would be here. So I ask you again. Why did you come to Dragonstone?"

Malcolm shakes his head, refusing to lose ground. "The travels of the King are not subtle affairs, and I have traveled my fair share. Word reaches me faster than others, I knew where I would find you."

"Your word reaches you faster than a dragon's wings, does it?" Aegon asked. It was clear he did not believe the man. "As it happens you have come across me on my wedding night, Prince Malcolm. I insist you feast with us and share your news. Of course you will not mind Ser Brandon holding onto your weapons for a time, I know. Weddings are for peace and merriment, and wine and swords rarely mix well." The king gestured his Lord Commander forward.

Elsey picked up on Aegon's apprehension, watching Malcolm intently.

"Here and King's Landing are the only places a returning King would go, and I was already at King's Landing- you weren't. That left here." Malcolm shrugged, then removed his weapons again and waited for whichever one Brandon was to take them. "Of course, we have much catching up to do."

Queen Rhaena had been first in the sky, keeping a distance to better utilise her bow while keeping Tyraxes out of any immediate danger, so he could manoeuvre round if needed. She did not hear what was said, and had a few words with waters before returning to the ground, something about widening his circle perimeter.
When she got on the ground, and unchained herself, she approached those present on the ground as the unknown rider was handing over his weapons, so he was no immediate danger.
"Who is this?" She asked Aegon, then looked to Malcolm and went to the source, "who are you? Dragon rider?"

Yana directs Spinel to circle around the group, keeping guard on the stranger, Yana hops off, watching and waiting, a thin blade close to hand but still sheathed.
