I'm sorry about today folks. My interview ended up lasting 3 hours and now I'm stuck in rush hour traffic. I'll be lucky to even make it to my lecture on time. I swear to you all, on my honor, that I will be at your service all day tomorrow until my lecture. I'll even wake up a couple hours early to make up for the inconvenience. I think you all know me to be a reliable sort an I'm as excited for this battle as any of you. I appreciate your patience and will return shortly to my true passion: making corpses of the lot of you. But I don't want to be a corpse! :c

Ok Zack. What kind of interview lasts for 3 hours though? Kind of jobs I go for, they last between 30-90 minutes depending on whether there's an "exercise" involved i.e. computer work.

The kind where you meet with 4 different partners separately, then they all have a round table where they talk about you, then you have a final meeting with the founding partner.

Yeah, serious interviews last a long time. I was reading about these finance guys who have interviews that last for like 5-6 hours, for like Goldman Sachs and shit.

That's just weird. I doubt I will ever be applying for jobs like that though. Can't even get a regular job at the moment Hell, I chickened out of apply for a job with a presentation because there is no possible world in which I can succeed when the job involves a presentation.

Best part was one of the partners is in JAG reserves. So he looks at my resume, sees the military service section, looks up with this huge grin and exclaims:
"Someone will finally understand all my acronyms!"

Yeah the waiting room is right outside the conference room where they had the round table. I'm not a bad lip reader and I swear the guy said "fucking acronyms!" at least three times.

Massey Guardsman #4 rolled 90s in all three rounds that he fought, killed 2 Poor Fellows, and saved Ser Darien's life. His name should be Ser Godfrey of Bloodgrove, because he's a fucking badass.

One more pic of Oldtown, since it might be important for those fighting on the ground...or who end up on the ground through death of their winged mount

So, I was either just given a $12,000 raise (about 40% of my salary), or there was a huge error with the direct deposit with my check this morning. I am extremely fucking confused, and since I haven't gotten in to work yet, I just needed to talk about this to someone. I'm like afraid to even touch my bank account, in case they take all this money back...

That does sound like an error. I'd say leave it alone until you can talk to someone at payroll.

Its so weird, because we've been expecting a wave of raises but that's way too much...

It does sound like a very big amount to be raised by, so best to check, just in case. Would be pretty sweet if it was for real though!

Ok, figured it out. We all got more appropriately sized raises, but they were retroactive to October 1st, so this paycheck just includes that money.
In other news, I'm off to Vegas!
