The Targaryen party was escorted to the Archon's palace. It was a magnficient building that dominated the skyline, with many ornate arches, statues and open courtyards. Belaquo grinned at them visitors as they crossed the main courtyard.
"My brother the Archon is prickly and proud," he warned. "But he loves to welcome guests to the Moonlit Palace. He will want to see the dragons."

Aegon surveyed the delicate arches of the Palace, nothing like the blocky profile of the Red Keep. Their servants and guards caught up to them at the threshold, which was good; a group always looked more impressive with a retinue, and a proud man like the Archon would expect gifts.
"He is most welcome to see them," Aegon replied calmly, "And we look forward to meeting him."

Brandon surveyed the guards and servants that attended and was pleased to see that none were out of place or unfamiliar. He maintained his position near the Prince although he had since sheathed the sword. "It's not a keep." Brandon said, surveying the surroundings. "A man's home says much about where he believes strength resides, and for this archon I'd wager gold dragons would impress him more than the ones we brought," he told Prince Aegon quietly.

"Our dragons will impress everyone, whether they be interested in force of frivolity, if they are anyone of note then will be interested in power. That is what dragons represent, pure power." Rhaena said, catching what The Lord Commander said to her brother. She had not wanted to leave Tyraxes alone, he might try and eat grandmother, or fight with one of the others, which would not go well.
Rhaena looked round the place with a curious eye, the different architecture was of more interest to her, it spoke of hot climates, of decadence, the arches being carved in ways she had never seen. It was very beautiful in a way,

Belaquo Adarys had noticed the retinue and the boxes of gifts with an eager eye as he led the Targaryen party forward. Though he missed the Lord Commander's quiet comment, he heard Rhaena's comment regarding dragons and his eyes lit as she spoke. She couldn't help noticing that the gaze he bestowed on her was more than admiring and he was sure to walk close to her.
"My good friends," he said. "I must ask you to meet the Archon now. Be assured you may bathe and change after, but my dear brother is so anxious to meet you all, he desires you to meet him with all haste. He has promised not to be offended by your travelling attire." He grinned and bowed. "There will be time enough to change into court attire for the feast."

"That is acceptable," Aegon acknowledged. He still wore his black armor, Penance on his hip, and to be honest he felt more comfortable in it than in courtly attire anyway.

Brandon merely shook his head at the Princess' ignorance of human nature and trudged forward in silence. He eyed the amount of guardsmen the Archon had and their method of armament.
OOC: can I get a description please Rhaella

Belaquo led them into a large room where the Archon sat, quickly giving each of their names to a herald dressed in gaudy pink and blue, with hair dyed to match. The room was hung with the symbol of the Trios and paintings of men with hair in a rainbow of hues, presumably former Archons. The Archon himself, surrounded by twenty men wielding axes, sat on a golden throne with a green silk cushion. All of the guards were tall and muscular, and wore breastplates and ornate helms.
The Archon was in his early forties, well-built and handsome with green hair to his shoulders, starting out leaf green at the roots and turning to a darker jade at the tips. His moustache and cropped beard were jade too. His doublet was violet, his breeches striped jade and silver. He was alone, apart from his courtiers.
Belaquo dropped into an elaborate bow, right hand pressed to his chest, while the herald announced them all.
"Welcome to the Moonlit Palace, home of His Excellency the most Honourable Archon Massio Adarys. Your Excellency, here before you stand Prince Aegon Targaryen, crown prince of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and heir to the Iron Throne, his sister and betrothed, the Princess Rhaena and their kinsman and protector, Ser Brandon Snow, a knight of the Kingsguard."
The Archon, smiling, beckoned to his guests. "You may approach."

The Archon reminded Aegon of a peacock. He seemed ridiculously gaudy to Aegon's eye, but the crown prince kept his expression neutral. His axemen, at least, seemed formidable enough.
"Greetings, Archon." It would not do for the Crown Prince to bow to a foreign ruler, so Aegon kept his back straight but his tone respectful. "We travel here on a voyage of good will, as a Tyroshi ambassador once traveled to King's Landing. Accept our gifts for your hospitality." Aegon gestured, and the servants brought the gifts forward. They were picked out by some steward in King's Landing, and seemed somewhat less impressive amidst the finery of the Moonlight palace, but they would suffice.

If the directed attention of the archon's brother bothered Rhaena she let none of it show, walking confidently just behind Aegon, her sword at her hip and her black dragonbone bow across her back.
If Aegon was not bowing, neither was she, like her brother, she took in the guards and wondered if this show of physical might might appease their uncle in regard to their strengths and priorities.
"We thank you for receiving us so graciously and so quickly into your beautiful palace, especially considering the sudden nature of our arrival" she said, it being hard to send on ravens to alert of your imminent arrival when on dragon back.
Rhaena rather liked the boldness of their fashion, it being pleasant after the muted tones of Kings Landing.

"Your gifts will be gladly received, Prince Aegon," said the Archon. "I hope you will enjoy your visit to Tyrosh and see for yourself how magnificent is the most beautiful city in the world." He turned his attention to Rhaena. "Beautiful lady, you are surely the brightest jewel of Westeros. You honour us by your presence. Please do not worry, your presence could never be unwelcome here."

"No doubt we shall," Aegon replied. "Also travelling with us is the princess dowager, Laena Targaryen. She is seeing to our dragons currently, but she is most eager to meet you, Archon. Do we have the hospitality of your roof for the night?"

"Certainly. It would be most remiss if we were to refuse hospitality to such noble guests," the Archon replied. "I would be honoured to host your party here at the palace. I regret that the dragons must wait outside. I hope you will fetch the honourable lady so I may meet her." He laughed at his own joke.
OOC - Laena is Princess Dowager. Her husband died before his father so she never got to be Queen.

"We thank you greatly for that hospitality," Aegon replied. "You will see the Princess Laena tonight, I have no doubt. But for now we should welcome an opportunity to eat and rest from our travels."

"Certainly. I will have servants show you to the guest rooms." He signalled for a servant. "You will join me tonight for the feast, I hope."
