Grape Tears is a very exclusive wine house catering in exotic and rare vintages. There is always a guard on the front door, and the plush tables and chairs are always mostly half empty. Only the wealthy are allowed past the front doors. The owner is a man named Mattias Flower, and walks with an elaborate limp.

Baelon wandered in one afternoon, having heard nothing but good things about the place. He took a seat at the bar while he waited for Daenerys to arrive.

Mattias Flowers smiled at the man and stepped, and bowed, "Welcome to Grape Tears my lord. What kind of man are you?"

Daenerys arrived after a while, dressed in a nice blue summerdress, her golden hair down in a long braid. She had a few Velaryon guards with her, who sat at a table near the entrance. "Cousin," she greeted Baelon as she approached him with a slight smile of recognition, leaning her arm on the bar. "Shall we take one of the tables?"

"The kind who listens, when a pretty lady invites me to join her." Baelon told Flowers as he stood up. He walked toward a table far enough from the guards that they couldn't hear the conversation.
As he pulled out a seat for Daenerys, he asked, "I trust you had no trouble finding the place, cousin?"

Mattias disappeared down stairs, and then appraoched the table they were sitting at. He held out a red Norvosi wine. "This is for your table. From what you said before you would love it." He caressed the bottle lovingly, and smiled in deep thought, "The owner of the Blue Owl Winery is a bold man. He has spent fifty years steadily improving his wine. And this one from only five years ago was his best by far. I make a gift of it to you too, and hope you enjoy it with the same love I have." He places the bottle on the table.

Baelon waited patiently for the man to pour him a taste.

Mattias snaps his fingers, and a buxom young red headed woman walks over and places three glasses on the table. She bends over slightly to pour into all three glasses.

Dany had followed Baelon to the table and taken the offered seat. "No trouble at all, cousin. How did you come across this place?" she asked, looking around appreciatively.
As the man re-joined them, she listened to him talk about the Norvosi wine and smiled at him, impressed by the man's devotion to his trade. "Is it a sweet one?" she inquired.

"I heard good things from my network of fellow drunkards." Baelon told his cousin.
He kept the side of his eye on the waitress's breasts as she poured the wine, and asked the proprietor, "Three glasses? Are you joining us, Master...?"

"The first bottle is free if you share it with the proprietor." Mattias replied, "Well I will take it in exchange for your company. It is an old custom from some of the free cities that I stole from them. I love a good story or two."

"I rather like that custom, but I imagine it leads to some nights in which the proprietor cannot stand up by sundown. And I have something of a history of stealing from the Free Cities, myself. Sit, have some wine." Baelon waved a hand at an empty chair.

"That is an interesting custom, I do not recall it from Braavos?" said Dany, and raised an inquiring eyebrow at Baelon. "If there's a story there, I should like to hear it."

"It is not from Braavos, but several of the other cities." He sat and smiled at them both. "I am afraid all of my stories involve me finding undiscovered vineyards. I have spent thirty of my forty five years traveling from one to another. I would go on, but most people find the subject rather dreadfully dull."

"But you are from the Reach, originally, I take it?" Baelon asked him. "As it happens, I'll be a lord in those parts before long."

"I was born in the heart of the reach, but my mother returned with me to her family in the Arbor." Mattias replied, "Where will you be lording, my lord?"

"Sunflower Hall, was it?" Dany asked, smirking a little.

"That's the one." Baelon confirmed. "And I'm sure I don't know what that look is for, Dany."

Daenerys gave half a shrug. "The name suits you. I find it rather adorable."

Mattias smiled, "Many a great hero has called Sunflower hall his home, my Lord. And I have had a sunflower wine once... it was dreadful, but anything that can be made into wine is not that bad."

"Lovely. Baelon Waters the Adorable, Lord of Sunflower Hall." He laughed before taking a drink of the wine. "That is quite good. Are there any lands suitable for vineyards in Sunflower Hall's domain?"

"I have never visited them myself. But I would be honored to tour them for you to see if there is such a location. I have helped found several vineyards in my time, and almost all have been successful." Mattias replied, "Only drought or Dothroki have destroyed my efforts."

"One of those seems rather unlikely. But yes, I would very much like that, once I'm settled in." He took another drink. "To the keep, that is. Not the wife."

"And you are getting married too... that is a great joy. My wedding day... I can still remember it like it was yesterday. We had a white from Dorne for the feast, and then reds from the Arbor for the celebration after." Mattias said with a wistful smile, "And who is too be your lucky bride?"

"Lady Arwyn Cuy, a maid of...seventeen? Nineteen? Something around there. At any rate, she'll make a fine wife, as I was telling Daenerys the other day."
