"Well, I hope you have a lovely time there," said Elsey, taking a sip of the summerwine. "This is very nice, a fine gift. Enjoy it." Elseyris remembered something she had meant to ask Aegon last night, before things had gotten emotional and distracted. "If you'll excuse me, Princess, I should like to borrow your brother for a moment." She glanced between Daenya and Aegon, with a cheerful smile, gesturing for Aegon to walk with her. Aegon had never been to the Summer Islands himself, but he had heard enough tales about its priestess-whores (and about Adara Dondarrion, for that matter), to doubt that it would be the best influence on Daenya. His brow furrowed to make some comment, but as it was the girl's nameday he decided to let it go. He steps aside with Elseyris. "I do not have much to say that was not said last night, Elsey. His Grace has yet to receive me." "That is not what I wish to talk about," Elsey said quietly. "I hope to petiton the King tomorrow to go to Dragonstone, and I wanted to know if your offer of an escort still stood, in case it becomes a relevant point. That was all."

"It is a standing offer," Aegon replied. "My father values dragons, if nothing else. He should grant your request."

"It is a standing offer," Aegon replied. "My father values dragons, if nothing else. He should grant your request." "Thank you," Elsey replied, with a respectful nod. "That was all I wanted to know. I shall take myself elsewhere, I do not believe my proximity to you is helping matters at the moment. I'm sorry to have troubled you. I hope you have a nice time." She turned to move away, hoping to find a friendly face, as she began to feel more vulnerable. As she passed him, she allowed her fingers to briefly, surreptitiously, brush the back of his hand. She was quick and catlike in her way of moving, no less so when escaping, as before he could say anything else, she was already several paces away, only leaving a glimpse of her half-bared back framed by olive green velvet and her honey-coloured hair, as she slipped out of sight.

Lord Maekar Dracaryn, the Lord of Darkheart, is announced and he enters the party dressed in a finely made black tunic, trimmed with crimson. The left sleeve was pinned back over his missing hand, and Vigilance hung at his side, the black hilt ending in a seven-pointed star made of crystal seeming rather out of place in the Red Keep of all places. He wore a different eye-patch, this one crimson with a narrow black oval running vertically down the center, giving it the impression of a Dragon's eye.
On his arm was a young woman, who the heralds announced as Lady Vira Dragonseed, dressed in a gown of gossamer-thin pale green lace, baring the shoulders and the tops of her breasts. There was no corset or tightly laced bodice, so the lace clung naturally to her small waist, and the nearly transparent skirt was long and close-fitting instead of flared. All in all, it looked like an extremely daring version of a traditional Valyrian noblewoman's gown, and left little to the imagination and showed off Vira's figure to its advantage.

Maekar's gaze had slowly moved around the room, coming to rest on Princess Rhaena, speaking to some knight or another, and he frowned, though when Vira spoke, he laughed lightly and looked down at her. "It fits you, my lady, and you cannot deny me a little fun, after a day shopping for dresses."

Elsey spotted Ser Maekar and his companion enter as she strode for a hiding place, and made her way towards them. As always, forgetting to be courtly, she gave Maekar a subordinate nod;
"Ser Maekar, it is good to see you."
She looked properly now at the lovely thing on his arm, and couldn't help but admire the woman.
"Greetings, My Lady."

"Don't tell me you didn't enjoy shopping for this dress with me," she winked. Vira was sharp, and she saw his eyes linger on the fair-haired princess in the corner. "Is that the Princess Daenya?" she asked. "She looks older than four-and-ten." "Rhaena, her elder sister," he said, but he cut off as Elseyris approached them. "Good afternoon, my lady," he replied with a smile. "Vira, this is Lady Elseyris Targaryen, daughter of Lord Aenar, of the line of King Aenys I," he said.

"Is that the Princess Daenya?" she asked. "She looks older than four-and-ten." Now this was more like it. This slender, pretty girl looked more around the age of what she had expected. "Greetings," Vira said with a smile and curtsey. "I am Vira - just Vira," she added, with a twinkling glance at her escort. "Are you Lord Maekar's younger sister?" "Ah, my apologies, Vira. A pleasure to meet you." She laughed a little, glancing up in amusement at Maekar.

"No, Princess Daenya is the one with pink hair," Maekar said, rolling his eye. "I imagine she will make herself hard to miss, as ever."

Elsey smiled to Vira and Maekar, not letting on whether she shared Maekar's weariness about Daenya's attention-seeking tactics or not;
"Once you have made your greetings, feel free to come and share some wine with me. It is not often that I get to meet a charming newcomer."

"She's allowed to have pink hair?" Viras asked the other two. Vira had met the King - at close quarters - and he did not strike her as the type of father to allow pink hair. "I imagine the King could have shaved it off and locked her in a tower cell until it grew out, but perhaps his daughters have leeway that the rest of us mere mortals do not," Maekar replied, in a tone that said he would have seriously considered that course of action in the King's place.

"Oh, you are sweet!" Vira said. "I will do so, my lady. Perhaps you can introduce me to the other ladies too, in due course." Elsey gave a small, courteous bow. Though she looked distinctly feminine in her soft, flowing green and pale gold dress, her bearing was more direct and squared than one would normally expect of a highborn lady. She was more like a soldier, especially in the way she had greeted Maekar, like a squire would a commander. "I would happily introduce you to the other ladies, whenever you will it. That is, of course, if My Lord here will allow me to sweep you away," She smiled playfully at Maekar.

"I am sure he has other ladies to admire, much as it breaks my heart," Vira said, smiling at Maekar. "I shall gladly join you, my lady." Being in Maegor's Holdfast was still so surreal. In all her seventeen years, she had not seriously imagined being here. Elseyris found some wine to pour for Vira and herself. She held her own goblet out, offering a toast with a smile that made her brown eyes glint; "Shall we drink to those we admire then, Vira?"

Maekar moved away, taking aside one of the servants and instructing the girl to bring him strong wine. He looked around the party, not particularly desiring to mingle with the few guests that had arrived.

Daenya smiled as she saw newcomers and gave a brief nod to her bastard brother as he passed, befote approaching Vira.
"Greetings," she said with a bright and pretty smile. "I cannot say we have met! Though, might I say that I admire how you wear that dress?" She giggled and went a little red in the cheeks.

Rhaena noticed Maekar had arrived and was rather surprised though. Seeing as he held the companionship of some random woman, she just smiled genuinely over to him and raised her hand languidly in greeting, before turning back to her own company.
"I should think Lady Visenya should be well satisfied with a man like you," rhaena commented to Axell, believing the traitor spawn should not aim much higher. She was already growing bored, talk of dresses and who one would wish to bed. Very tedious.

Dany had followed Rhaena's gaze to Maekar and a girl she'd never seen before, approached by Elseyris. "Who is that with him?" she asked Rhaena, having never seen the woman at court before, which upon closer inspection made sense. "Her dress looks cheap," she said before taking a sip of her wine. She had an eye for these things. "Poor thing."

"I have no idea. Rather rude really, bringing some unknown to a name day party, it is not like this is done nameless feast," she said, but then shrugged, it not mattering to her, "but then again, there are hardly enough people, so the more the merrier, really."

Aerion arrived, dressed in a red and white garb that seemed entirely too small for him. He quickly turned around and rearranged himself before braving into the crowd. Standing at the hall's entrance, Aerion had a good vantage point from which he could take note of all those in attendance. An unknown woman in red, a young girl with ridiculous pink hair, and he was sure the King's bastard son was a hand short from when he'd last seen him. It suddenly crossed his mind that everyone seemed to be milling around a bit like chickens and Aerion felt his stomach grumble in response. He strode across the hall and seated himself at an empty table. He'd clearly come for the delicious food and not the pleasant conversation.

Daenerys sipped some more wine, but her eyes widened as Rhaena spoke. Even if it was true, they would have made an odd pair, she thought. "Now that is ironic." Who the king would accept as Prince Aegon's bride did not want the title, and who would have been most definitely inappropriate in his eyes, did wanted. "If any of it is even true, that is." She opened her mouth to reply to Ser Axell's implication, but it took her a moment or two to come up with a fitting reply. "Ser Axell, such forwardness! And here I thought I would have to apologise to you later, for having to listen to our banter. Perhaps you need no consoling as of yet. If you wish, I could put in a good word for you with Lady Visenya." She winked at him. "That would be very kind," Axell replied. "I would be much obliged. Thank you so much, my lady. I wish I had a friend to recommend in turn."

"Perhaps I will call you Vira then, auntie," Daenya replied with a giggle, as she took the parcel and slowly opened it. "Oh, this is beautiful! Almost see-through, but beautiful nonetheless!"
She held the dress up to herself and smiled, before setting it aside. "Aegerys... I have not heard of him; do you know his lineage at all?"

"Oh, he must be a brother of Vandaras then, for they are the same age and seemingly the same clutch," Daenya replied, never having studied the various heritages of the many dragons. "Vandaras isn't silent, but he's big and his fire is hotter than any other! He fought well at Oldtown but I can agree that they are... well, temperamental." She grinned.

"Of course I did," Daenya replied, sipping her sweet wine, while holding up her right arm.
"The Dragonbane broke this arm when I fought him on the battle field," She said, a proud smile on her lips. "We are dragons; we fight for what is rightfully ours."

Daenya turned to smile as Ser Jaime entered. "Greetings, brave knight!" She said. "Those earrings are absolutely gorgeous!"
