Maegor waved him off with a dismissive motion, having little patience for sycophants. The man was lucky he was of such use.

Orys walked towards the exit. The Summer Islands? He'd only ever heard the tales of them. Perhaps he could... No. He'd best fight the war. He'd hate to come back to Westeros only to be called a coward. No, it was time to saddle Sinner.

Adara Dondarrion arrived in the throne room with Vira. Adara had chosen to wear her newest gown, a Qartheen confection in flimsy white fabric which fell in a straight column from a high waist but which left her left breast bare. She smiled over at Vira. "So, this is the throne room. See, the Iron Throne of Aegon the Conqueror.."

/////// Adara Dondarrion arrived in the throne room with Vira. Adara had chosen to wear her newest gown, a Qartheen confection in flimsy white fabric which fell in a straight column from a high waist but which left her left breast bare. She smiled over at Vira. "So, this is the throne room. See, the Iron Throne of Aegon the Conqueror.." Vira eyed the Iron Throne with remarkable coolness for someone who had, for the past six days, lived and experienced a very different side of King's Landing. She looked distinctly foreign, with kohl-lined dark eyes, cascading dark hair, and a very curious dress indeed. She appeared to be wearing a bodice of tightly fitted blue silk with short sleeves, with embroidery at the navel and the breasts, and opaque golden hose that shimmered under the candlelight. It would take very close inspection for one to realize that she was naked, but painted so cleverly that few would notice.

Adara linked her arm through Vira's. "That really is a wonderful...costume," she whispered. "What kind of country does it come from?"

Kesi wandered in talking to a girl about a flower that she wanted to find.
She was dressed in a light yellow, westerosi style dress. When she saw the other two women she rolled her blue eyes. Adara had not given the best first impression and seeing her in her style of dress was not a thing that pleased her.

"Oh, even we peasants can create costumes using nothing but our imaginations," Vira whispered back. "Your painters certainly were great talents."
She saw the sorceress enter, and instinctly flinched. Despite all her ambition and pretensions, Vira had grown up in village, where sorcery was feared and reviled.

Kesi raised an eyebrow when Vira flinched but said nothing, instead she flicked her long blue plait over her shoulder.
"Is maybe not best place for me to be." She said, her gaze flicking to Adara and hardening.

Vira recovered from her initial instinct to recoil, and looked at the sorceress with a sweet smile. "Forgive me," she said. "I was startled by your beautiful blue hair. It is the most startling and lovely thing I have seen all day. I do not think I know your name, my lady?"

Adara smiled cattily. "Oh, don't leave on my account. I came to present my new handmaid to the king," she said. "Vira, this is the sorceress. "She comes from Qarth."

"A pleasure," Vira said, bowing slightly.

Kesi inclined her head slightly, and glanced at the throne, ugly thing as it was.
"I cannot be saying if it is or not yet." She said, going back to survaying the new girl. "Name is being Kesi."

"Where is Qarth?" Vira asked curiously, for a moment briefly revealing her peasant origins.

"Qarth is being East and East again." Kesi answered. "Is being past the smoking sea and through the summer."
She didnt bother mentioning that she wasnt actually Qartheen, feeling it would confuse the poor girl.

"Ah," Vira said, with a sly glance at Adara's gown. She nudged her friend. "So that's what you were talking about earlier when you said this was a Qartheen gown. Clearly we must make sure this custom comes to our Seven Kingdoms."

"Custom is not being good here." Kesi said sharply, looking at Adara. "Is not for being a whore dress. Maybe if it is not being respected then it should be lost here."

Vira was startled, and waited to see how Adara would take this. It was not for her to speak in an exchange of barbs between Lady Dondarrion and a royal sorceress.

"I intend to," Adara confirmed. "Why else would I wear a dress like this? It's rather...amusing. Imagine all the great ladies with their breasts bare. The queen...the princesses...even the horrid old Dowager!" Her eyes narrowed as she looked at Kesi. "I dress as I please, wench. Best mind your manners or I will have your tongue out. It amuses me to dress in the style of your homeland, and so I shall. The gods gave us our bodies to give pleasure to ourselves and otherwise. That is what I do."

Kesi's eyes narrowed, and she gave a soft hiss of annoyence.
"Why are you even bothering to be dressed?" She asked. "Would it not be being easier to just be being naked?"

"Imight ask you the same question," Adara sneered. "Do not judge me, wench. I am blood of the dragon."

"Is not being me that is judging you, whore." Kesi replied. "You may be dragons blood but I am being much much worse."

"AYe, common blood and foreign too," Adara grumbled. "You're here on sufferance, you know. You'll have to leave if you stop being useful."

Kesi gave a faint smile, though the look of hatred didnt leave her eyes.
"I am thinking that you will stop being useful long before I am stopping." She said softly.

"But I don't have to be useful," Adara retorted. "I get to do what I want. Unlike some, I don't have to earn my food and lodging." She put her hands on her hips. "I bet you've never even had a man, have you?"

"I am not seeing how that is anything to be doing with a childish little sharmuuto." Kesi said, her face as still as stone. "Maybe getting what you are wanting is not being good and maybe should be stopping before you drag your... blood down to gutter with you."
