Arthur was finally shown to his fathers office by a helpful young page. Stepping forward to the door the young man rapped his knuckles against the door.

"Yes, yes. Come in, come in." twittered the impatient voice of Lord Lyonel Harroway at the knock on his door.

Arthur entered quickly closing the door behind him father. Standing straight with a slight smile on his lips, "Father." A thousand things flashed through Arthur's mind. Should he defiantly state that it was time for him to live in the capital. Ask his father for help in this strange new city or. Arthur instead just stood their.

"My boy!" Lyonel exclaimed with a mix of elation and confusion, as he looked up at his guest, the sunlight from a nearby window reflecting off his bald head. "What a pleasant surprise."

"Ah... It is a pleasure to see you as well Father. I thought, I thought it was time for me to come to the Capital. I have spent too many years safe in the Riverlands." After hesitating for a moment Arthur adds, "It is time I meet more of mother's family."

"Yes, yes, of course." Harroway replied, though seemed uneasy at the prospect. After the king had fathered a bastard upon his wife on their wedding night, the Master of Laws had tried his best to keep his family and the Red Keep separate entities. "Would you not rather remain at Harrenhal? We'll throw a tourney on your next name day and you can meet them all then." he recommended, almost imploring.

"No I refuse to return to Harrenhal." Arthur began to speak with more steel in his voice, "I've had enough of that sad dreary place and I am not going to find a wife amongst the maids and kitchen hands Father." The young man flops down onto one of the seats placed in front of his father's desk.

"That sad dreary place will be your seat one day. Have some pride boy." Lord Harroway replied, looking flustered for a moment as he sat down heavily. "Take my word on it, you do not want to say your vows anywhere near the Red Keep."

"Why? Would you prefer I married a nice Andal girl. Perhaps one of the many daughters of a Riverlander Lord?" Arthur's tone was very sarcastic.

"Would that be so terrible?" Lyonel asked. "Your mother ensured all the royal blood we need in the Harroway line...for a few generations at least."

"You think its royal blood I seek?" Arthur leapt to his feet and began to pace, "I have had enough of swooning maidens and lordlings daughters. I want a woman worthy of being my wife and Lady of Harrenhal. I thought you would understand this."

"I do, though do not understand why you think you will find such a woman here." Lord Lyonel replied. "A woman that would be a worthy Lady of Harrenhal and a woman that is familiar with the Royal Court are not the same thing."

Arthur stopped his pacing, "Oh you would know what the woman from the Riverlands are like? Pray tell me father when was the last time you returned there?"

"Too long." he replied, with a long sigh. "I was quite the scamp in my youth and remember the ladies of the Riverlands fondly."

"Thank you for boasting of your vigour father." Looking his father in the eye Arthur continued, "Now I plan to stay here for awhile. I will do this with or without your blessing."

"I am your lord and father still!" Lyonel blustered. "I will have you sent back to Harrenhal by force if I wish it!"

Arthur sighed, "And then what Father you would soon leave to return here. I do not wish to fight you about this father, I simply wish to be my own man to make my own choices and live with my regrets."

"It is my job to minimize those regrets." he replied, sighing deeply. "You carry the reputation of this house on your shoulders, not just that of your own name."

"My meaning exactly. I shall show that Ser Arthur Harroway is not a man to hide behind his father or his mothers lineage but will stand and look upon the world himself."

"Just be careful where you look in these halls." Lyonel replied glumly. "Do not let your gaze linger for too long on anything you care too dearly about."

"Thank you father. All I've ever wanted was your trust and support." A small smile flashes across Arthurs face, "Now where shall I stay? Do you a townhouse available?"

"Just that I am happy to see you, Arthur." Lyonel added with some paternal affection. "Though the location troubles me. Do behave yourself."
