"We should be at Highgarden in three days, four if we're fouled with poor weather." Aegon held her delicate hand comfortably, squeezing it slightly without comment. "To Oldtown... it is difficult to say. It may be a long time."

"And then seige, no doubt, which could be any length of time. Unless you plan to attack immediately, and with dragonfire, well, do you intend to save anything in the city? I hear they have quite a university there, and then the great Sept." She tightened her grip on his hand. "No, I won't ask about battles or anything of that sort. If I were a fighter, I'd be going, too."
"Anyway, I have something for you to take with you."

Aegon's expression tightened subtly. "I will save what I am able to." It seemed clear from his tone that he did not think that would be enough. Though his next words are filled with puzzled curiosity. "What is it?"

"Just something small I had hoped you would carry with you until you're back in King's Landing."
She let go his hand then and reached into her pocket to retrieve a bit of woven ribbon. It was violet and red and silver-gold; the ribbons the colors Visenya normally wore, and the last strand was, on closer inspection, a braided lock of her own hair. Securing the ends were hammered gold aiglets marked with the seven-pointed star of Aegon's chosen religion. "Will you take it?" she asked, offering it to him, her cheeks flushing slightly.

Aegon smiled as he took the favor, brushing the silky silver-gold lock with a thumb as he held it. He set it carefully in an inner pocket, near his heart, and said nothing for a time. Then Aegon leaned over, turned Visenya's face towards his own, and kissed her.

Visenya had been content to just sit in silence beside Aegon and to watch the sky grow dark before he left for time uncertain with no promise of return, but suddenly his lips were on hers. She lifted her hand to his shoulder to steady herself against him, fingers tightening on the fabric of his clothing. When they broke apart, she could not help but laugh and throw her arms around him. "Come back safely, will you?"

"I will." Aegon grinned, almost embarassed, but was not hesitant in returning the embrace. "Take care of yourself too," Aegon added. "But as much as I would like to stay here with you..." Aegon said apologetically, "Duty calls."

"I understand. A prince must do his family proud." She rose to her feet, straightening her skirts. The garden was filling up with shadows as the sun fell beyond the walls of the Keep. "I will be here when the war is over," she said with a smile. Waiting for you, it implied.

////////////////
Kesi entered the calm quiet of the Godswood, just to see if it was a good place to try and cultivate a plant that she wanted.

Lord Sergio was studying the face carved into the heart tree. His head did not turn, but he said, "Good afternoon." As she approached.

Kesi had not realised that she was not alone in the place, and her eyes studied him.
"Afternoon." She replied. She was wary having never seen the man around before.

Lord Sergio Delinaal turned around slowly and offered her a deep smile, "These gods of theirs... they are rather... sappy." He held up his hand and showed where sap had gotten on his glove from one of the trees.

Kesi couldnt help but laugh.
"Is probably why no others are touching the trees." She said. "They are probably learning this before."

"I had never touched a god before... I felt the need." Sergio replied, "I guess I should have know mortal man was not meant to reach so high." He sighed deeply. "I am Lord Sergio Delinaal."

"Gods are not wanting to be touched by anyone." Kesi said but smiled. "I am being Kesi Mandisa."

Sergio took her hand kissed it once and smiled up at her with his dark eyes, "Well I hope you are not secretly a goddess then. If you are may I offer my apologies?"

"I am not reaching that high." Kesi said, her smile staying. "There is being no apologies needed, unless you are knowing something that I am not."

"I am probably knowing a thing or two you do not know, but we have only just met." Segio replied, "Well I am glad you only look a goddess."

"Being strange Goddess." Kesi answered, toying with her blue hair. "You are not being from here either are you?"

"Well as far as I can tell... all the goddess are strange. Have you seen the Crone? She looks like a man in a shawl. And the Maiden... you know she is up for a good time." He smiled at her. "And no... I am from the City of Braavos."

"Then you are being the most learned of all about Gods." Kesi said. "I fear that in my home there is less knowledge."

"I would think there is just a different sort of knowledge in Qarth." Sergio replied. "To each city their own interests."

"That is true." Sergio replied, "Though I have never been that interested in them that much myself." He said, "I have always had other interests."
