He wanted to cry when she began to sing, how wonderful this moment was as he hid behind some bushes! It was like he was in a dream. He sniffled slightly. Waxley didn't want to ruin the moment by being seen and promptly rubbed his nose and eyes so that eh could feel clearer. He had heard of the girl's swinging temperament, an affliction he did not want to have turned on him. A rose with thorns for certain, beautiful to look at but dangerous if not handled carefully. Oh but how similar to wildfire as well! He touched a small vial of the stuff that he carried with him. Volatile and dangerous, if not handled carefully, it could be incredibly destructive. But how random it could be even still.

Daenya suddenly stopped singing, feeling like she wasn't quite alone. She wasn't sure but she thought she had heard a noise.
"Hello?" She called out, slowly rising and looking about. "Is anyone there?"

The Wisdom's heart started beating even more rapidly and he felt the sweat in his arm pits trickle down his sides. Oh no what a fool he was! He started shaking nervously, she could explode on him at any minute. He had to plan an escape and looked around for a quick way out. Yes! There was one, through the path and past some trees. He started making his way through a bush when his cloak got caught on a branch. He struggled with the branch, trying to shake it off while making rustling noises. Vermithor take him now, he was trapped! Waxley tugged on the branch harder and ripped part of it loose while falling backwards which resulted in him thudding up against a tree. He looked down and was surprised to see he crushed some sort of flower as he was trampling about. He felt a brief sense of calm but then he looked around a bit lost. In his rapid hasty departure and the unfortunate run in with a thorny bush, he had gone off course from his planned route of escape and could not see a way out of his predicament.

Daenya of course had overheard the Wisdom's unfortunate attempt at an escape and, overcoming her fear, had followed the noises.
She walked up behind him with a confused expression. "Hello? You... you are the pyromancer, no?"

Waxley nearly lept into the air when he heard her voice from behind him. He would have ran away had there not been a tree and hedge blocking his way, the only option was to turn around. He turned around, his red cloak in one place was slightly torn and he had some leaves and other shrubbery attached to it in some places. He looked like a small mess with some leaves and branches stuck to him. "Inspecting the Godswood, everything seems in order," he said quickly and stupidly while trying to think of why he was there in the first place. His mind was racing, he wished he was back in his office with the slower pace of the guild.

Daenya laughed softly. "Why were you running? Did you see some horrible monster?" She laughed again. "So far as I know I am the only other person here and there is no reason to run from me"

He tried the first thing that popped into his mind, "There was yes." He realized that she was joking so he thought more on what he was saying, "A scary bug, it flew into my face." He felt satisfied with his answer, it was much better. "They can be dangerous you know..if you get bit." Yes, there were some insects that could be deadly. He felt much more comfortable now that he could express his knowledge. "I don't like insects," he continued to explain. He held his hands in his sleeves.

Daenya had to laugh again, finding the man very silly.
"You are funny, Wisdom," She said, brushing some hair from her face. "May I ask why you are in the Godswood? I usually come here to have some peace and quiet, though I realize... well... you might follow the Old Gods?"

He could not think of a real reason to be in the Godswood alone, so he thoguht of a practical response quickly, "I got lost amongst the trees. It is very unorganized here, unlike the gardens which are much better kept. And n-no, I do not follow the Old Gods. I do not have much of an opinion on that matter." He looked around her to see if anyone was watching him make a fool of himself.

Daenya smiled at him. "The godswood is rather wild, no? I like it though, it makes me feel... free." She took in the fresh air, the quiet.
"Well, I should probably get going..."

"I-it w-was good meeting you," he managed to mumble out, "p-princess." He stood there silent, unsure what to say next, hoping she would do as she said. "I-if you need help with fire.." he said quickly as an open offer. Yes...yes perhaps if she was interested...He was an important man...She did know of him! "It can be dangerous though."

"Fire? How do you mean?" Daenya asked him, not entirely sure what the Pyromancers actually did. "Perhaps we could meet again at some other time and you could explain to me?"

"Erm, well yes, yes of course your presence would honour us," he said feeling somewhat comfortable somehow. "We make wildfire amongst other things. And..and of course work with metals and other things." He tried to make things sound mysterious so she would be more interested. "There are many things we investigate. The Alchemist Guild in the city is the best place to find us...you can recognize us by our cloaks of course.."

"That sounds very interesting," Daenya said, her mind already awash with images and thoughts about what their guild house might look like. "Perhaps I will come visit you there soon, yes? I would love to get a tour of the place."

"Mhm, yes, that does sound good. Well then." Things had turned out right after all but he still preferred it if she hadn't have noticed him. It was all too sudden and he wasn't ready. "If you come at any time then just ask for me, the head of the alchemists and I will be sure to meet with you. I am uhm, there in my office or here at the Red Keep usually." He lived an all-together boring life and was mostly a steward for the alchemists. In truth he did have not much responsibility and he was free to do what he liked.

"Do I just ask for the one with the bulging frog-eyes?" Daenya asked, laughing harshly. "You'll have to tell me more than pathetic little fairy tales to make me visit your guild." She looked him up and down in cold judgement.

So it was all just a game for her, he should have knew better! Waxley stood there sheepishly as he bore her insults. She was a royal after all and she could do what she wanted. "Y-you don't have to of course..." He looked around, "I have a meeting to get to, p-pardon me."

Daenya rolled her eyes. "Idiot," She muttered, before turning about and heading back into the keep.

He was utterly relived when she left, he could of course have tried to burn her on the spot, but he held back. He was more fearful of the king's wrath. He squeezed his eyes shut tight and rubbed them. He was too careless and now everything was ruined. He would have to make an image of her that was incorruptible. But he needed her hair to make it so..

******************
It was late afternoon when Visenya made her way to the Godswood. She moved between the trees until she found what she was looking for; the small clearing with a carpet of smooth white river pebbles, secluded enough for privacy, but public enough that it was easily found. She sat on one of the stone benches and waited for her cousin, plucking a white flower from a bush nearby and spinning it idly in her fingers as she watched the sky begin to pass into twilight.

Aegon's final preparations were made; on the morrow he would depart. He had returned to his chambers for the night to find a particular note, and set out to the designated place in pursuit of its author. "Visenya," Aegon said softly, hoping not to startle her in the quiet of the Godswood.

She looked up at the sound of her name and quickly got to her feet when she saw that it was he. "Good evening, Aegon. Thank you for coming to meet with me on such short notice. I know you must be terribly busy with all the preparations to go." There was a hint of mournfulness in her voice when she spoke. "Will you sit near me?"

"Of course," Aegon said. He took a seat beside Visenya on the old stone bench. "Too busy, though not half as much as I will be once on the campaign trail again. It leaves little time for socializing, unfortunately. But I am glad you asked me here. I was hoping to see you before I left."

She smiled at that. "I'm glad to hear that. Still, thank you for coming." She laid a hand on his, insinuating her fingers between his and feeling the roughness of his palm. "Do you know how long the army will be on the march? Oldtown is a very long way away."
