Skill Points
We have decided that we will award players a pool of points at the conclusion of each major narrative arc. This will be based on the player's activity levels, achievements and the quality of their roleplaying. Therefore, those players who achieve more during a narrative arc will be granted more points. These points will enable players to increase the level of the skills they already possess and to purchase new ones. Players can spend them on skills from Beginner to Grandmaster.
The skill list will look like this:
Rhaella: 20 points
Maegor: 20 points
Level Costs:
The cost for purchasing skills will be as follows:
Beginner: 10
Beginner to Novice: 15
Novice to Apprentice: 20
Apprentice to Noteworthy: 25
Noteworthy to Expert: 30
Expert to Master: 40
Master to Grandmaster: 50
Each skill level must be purchased in turn. So, you cannot get Grandmaster without first purchasing the lower levels for the relevant skill.
Extra Bonuses
In addition to the pool of points, we may choose to grant extra bonuses to players who achieve results in a particular field, such as exceptionally high rolling or really good roleplay. This will be a bonus to a specific skill which will enable the player to purchase their next rung at a half level. For example, purchasing Noteworthy to Expert would now become 15 points instead of 30 for that particular skill.
The bonuses will look like this:
Rhaella: +dragon handling
Maegor: +intimidation
Skill Rules:
*Players should note their skill points and bonuses in their character creation thread, as well as keeping their character sheet updated. Please PM Maegor and myself regarding your spending.
*Legendary and Mythic skill levels may be assigned at admin discretion only.
*If a character dies in the game, any unspent points may be transferred over to a new character.
*Unused +bonuses may not be transferred over to a new character
*Any queries or complaints regarding skill acquisitions must be handled via PM with Maegor and myself. Please do not take any disputes to the public chatroom or the forums.
