Kesi made her way to the stewards office, guessing that out of everyone in the keep they would be able to help her the most.
She gave a small smile as she walked, happy to have a child once again.

Se was met by a tall man with a thin, solemn face and ordinary brown hair. He was the kind of man who attracted little attention most of the time, which was why he had done so well as a steward.
"My lady? How can I be of service?"

"I am needing help." Kesi said. "I am having two children be staying with me for a while, and needing things for them, like beds and such, can you be helping me?"

"Of course. There is room for them in your chamber?" He asked. "I doubt we have spare rooms for two children. Who are they?"

"There is a little room just being off my chamber, I am using it for ingredients that can be used. I am thinking you are calling it alcove?" She said, looking a little confused at the word.

"We do. That would sere. Do you still have room for your ingredients? Your services are much needed at the Red Keep. We need your skills more than we need two children/"

"There will be room, do not be worrying." Kesi said, no matter what anyone thought she was determined to keep the children, both if she could.
"If not then I can be finding something to store in better."

"Indeed. What of their food? Who is to feed these two children? Will they work for their keep?"

"That is not being important at this moment." Kesi replied. "I will be taking care of them both until they are both being well enough to be of use."
She paused a moment. "I am wanting to be giving them both a trade, they boy I can be teaching myself but the girl... there is not much I am knowing about girls."

The steward considered for a moment. "We always need scullery maids. Such girls often grow up to be cooks. Or maids, mayhaps. How old is the girl?"

"I am thinking that she is being six, but I am not being sure. She is not well at this moment." Kesi said. She brushed her hair off her face. "I am also needing help, they are both needing clothes. I was wondering if you are knowing somewhere I can be getting them something for a little."

"Clothes are easy." He gave her the address of a cheap seamstress who provided clothing for all the castle servants. "Be better for the children too."

"Thank you." Kesi said with a small smile. "I can be going there tomorrow. Is there anything that I am needing to do before you can be giving me the beds? Other then cleaning out bottles."

"Nothing. Just be sure to fetch food for the children until they are ready to earn their keep. Can't have them running about the castle otherwise. They are not highborn, I assume? So best be sure they learn their courtesies in the presence of the highborns."

"They will be learning." Kesi said, with a look of determination. "Thank you, I am being sorry, I am not knowing your name."
She flashed him another smile and left the office to get back to her new charges.
