Daenya smiled, though she nudged Vira a little. "Who said I didn't want to be daring," She challenged, not wanting to seem like a boring prude. "I'll wear anything as scandalous as you..." So long no one else sees it she thought.

"We have this," Bella said, showing them a length of shimmering blue samite. "It would need to be made up, of course, but the dress could look a bit like this." She indicated a flowing gown in vivid red that would have clashed with Daenya's hair.

Vira could not have this conversation in public, especially not in front of Mistress Bella. "Save that for your bedchamber, Princess," she said. "You are still four-and-ten after all, three years younger than me, and you may wed the Prince of Dragonstone some day. I suppose I can help you choose dresses that might lure your brother into your arms, if you want to do that." Vira winked.

"I don't... I don't intend on marrying Aegon," Daenya told Vira quietly, never really having considered it. She then turned to Bella.
"I already have a few flowing gowns! Do you..." She looked around, then in a quiet tone. "Do you not have anything more, uh..." She went a little pink. "Clinging?"

Vira sighed and caved in. "What about this?" she asked with a hint of mischief, pulling out a wisp of yellow silk, which was sewn so that it would show all the contours of a firm young body, and had a plunging neckline to boot.

"Ohh...." Daenya managed when she saw the dress. "How... how much does this cost?" She asked, taking the dress from Vira and inspecting it. It was daring, that was true, but then she had issued somewhat of a challenge. She couldn't back out now. "It would work nicely with some heeled shoes..." She said quietly.

"We don't sell shoes, Your Grace. There is a cobbler down the road," Bella said. "It will be ten silvers. But might I suggest a colour other than yellow? I can have it made in blue within a few days."

"The higher the heel, the better your calf will look," Vira winked. "And you have nice legs."

Daenya giggled. "Thank you! I have a few at three inches but nothing higher than that..." She said, still looking around. "What about you? Shall we get you a new dress too?"

Vira gave her a challenging smile. "Do you want to try your hand at choosing something for me, my sweet?"

"Of course!" Daenya replied with a broad smile, quickly scuttling off to look at dresses. She came back with a little black thing, cut to reveal arms and the top of the breasts. The skirt was of a far eastern fashion, cut far too short in Westerosi terms.
"How about this!"

Vira was astonished. As a simple yet bold farm girl herself, this dress was far beyond anything she had ever seen. It would have shocked Lower Crinkley, and she had to admit she was impressed with Daenya for choosing it. "Be right back," she winked. "I underestimated you." She went off to the dressing rooms and emerged, looking at herself in the mirror in astonishment.
"What do they wear in foreign places?" she said. "I could never wear this at court! Well," she added with a laugh. "You couldn't wear that yellow gown either. This is strictly for the pleasure of men in private chambers, eh?"

While Vira was away Daenya had decided to try the yellow dress on, going red as a tomato when she saw herself into it.
She smiled however when Vira got back, biting back the envy. "I... yes, I suppose so..." She gave a small laugh. "Sh-shall we look for some shoes then?"

"Why, that looks wonderful on you!" Vira exclaimed. "We will have to fight off your cousins now." She winked.
"Certainly, let's see what shoes they have."

Daeya giggled at that. "I don't want to be fighting anyone, truly; my cousins are so beautiful, it can sometimes be hard being around them."

"I meant your male cousins, silly girl," Vira said with a laugh. "Come, tell me. There must be a boy you like?"

"Oh," Daenya said, laughing at her mistake. "No, not really... I haven't met anyone yet who has been truly interesting," She explained, looking for some shoes.

"Nobody?" Vira clucked in pity, picking out a pair of silver shoes. "Try these on. Anyway, really, nobody? That's a shame."

"These must be about six inches..." Daenya gasped, taking the shoes and slipping into them. She tried to walk and wobbled a little.
"I suppose the real suitors haven't come to visit the city yet," Daenya explained. "I am only ten and four so it may be a year or so yet until they do."

"That'll be painful to walk in, I'm sure, but they look great on you!" Vira said.
"Well I'm not talking about suitors," Vira laughed. "Just interesting men. To have fun with."

"Oh, you mean..." Daenya cut herself off, biting her lip. "A princess should not really have... that sort of fun with young men," She said, looking down to see what the shoes looked like on her.

How curious. Here the girl was, in the most scandalous and un-lady-like shop in town, and yet she was truly as shy as a septa about some things. Vira shrugged it off and changed the subject. "Find something you like?" she asked patiently.

"I think you should wear those," She said, pointing to a pair of heeled leather boots in black. "They appear aggressive, no? Men will not know whether to run to or from you." She smiled.

"Men never run from me," Vira winked, trying on the boots. "I love these, I'll buy them."

Daenya giggled. "I will pay; after all, you showed me this shop and gave me such a nice present." She grinned.
"I dare you to leave the shop in that dress!"
