Hey guys
A few days ago we talked about chat names. Though most of us are known by certain names i.e. old characters or our real names outside of our current characters, I think sometimes it's a pain if you are tagging someone and you say their character name in the chatroom instead of their chat name. And sometimes we can still forget who's who as well. So I am wondering if it would be easier to revert to character names in the chatroom.
After all, we still have the rule of the usual name/alternative name under the profile pictures in the accounts to help us remember who is who irl.
I've made a poll as I would like to reach a consensus here. So can you please all vote now?

I have voted. I too would find it easier if we all kept to our character names in chat, like we do in the forums.

The reason that this was brought up is that the chat is a place for two/three games going on for some people, admittedly they are not that active games so far with everything resuming after the holiday season. So I'm gonna have to stick with the names that we know each other by, I'm kind of sick and tired of us all changing our chat names every game to reflect our characters then going through and trying to remember who is who when we could just very well stick to the same chat names since learning someones character is easier then trying to remember who is who in terms of past games.
^ if that sounds like gibberish then I vote for nicknames/real names.

A few of the people don;t know others by their real/nickname though, which can be difficult. Even then though, I know a few people have had issues matching the character to the person. Honestly there are pros and cons for both.

I've a horrid feeling that LOW is going to go into statis again. Sadly it had slowed down even before we decided to do this one. But you know my thoughts about that already, Aranya. I guess I just think the "2 games" aspect isn't going to be such a big deal unless something changes with LOW.

Nicknames. I don't know why we're having this discussion again. We share that chat with 3 games now and I forced you all to put your chat name under your avatar for this very purpose. You're all smart people. This should not be this hard.

Someone raised it with me earlier so I said I'd see what the community thought. I'm not that bothered either way but there are times I forget and say "tag character" so it doesn't beep the person.

Alright let me put it this way. We share this game space with multiple games at the moment and will add another if Stranger creates his cool sounding amnesia game. This is a matter of respecting the other games we share a space with and using neutral chat names.
