"You would be happy to be known as King who set city on fire?" She asked, not truly caring if he was in a mood with her or not.

"Is your kingdom." Kesi shrugged, seeming not to care. "Be excusing me King."

Daenya, wearing a black dress with pink stitching, arrived at her father's chambers. She had her sword at her hip, and her arm was bandaged a little lighter.

Maegor was sitting at his desk, scanning over a pile of missives. At his daughter's entry he glanced up, scoffed, and then turned his gaze back down.
"You look like a Tyroshi whore." was his greeting of choice.

"I am happy to see you too, father," Daenya replied, having expected some form of disapproving response. And why else had she dyed her hair, but to get reactions?
"How has the city been?"

"Dull" was his laconic reply, though as he sealed a letter he at least lifted his gaze to give her his full attention.

Daenya decided to get straight to it. "I met the Dragonbane on the field with my sword," She said, a proud look on her face.

"No, but neither did he kill me," Daenya replied, her features remaining even. She would not let her father put her down.

"More than most can say." he began, appearing to relent, before adding "Though perhaps there is less shame in being slain by a man than being beaten into submission."

"There is no shame in being defeated by a man as legendary as the Dragonbane," Daenya countered, maintaining her pride. "You forget that I am just a "little girl", or are you one of the few who won't throw that in my face?"

"There is always shame in a god falling to a man." he chided. "I have never made excuses on your behalf and will not begin today."

Daenya shrugged. "He is dead, that is all that counts. I have learned from fighting him and am now a better swordsman."

"That stands to be seen until you again have an arm that can hold that sword." he reminded, motioning to the sling.

"It shouldn't be too long, I hope," Daenya said, looking down at her arm. "I intend to get back to sword practice as soon as am able."
She was annoyed that her arm was still not fully healed, itching to get back to the yard.

"Will that be all then?" he inquired, never one for idle conversation, even with his own children.

"Not if you have anything else to say," Daenya said, wondering why she was surprised at his dimissiveness. "When Rhaena returns to the city we may come speak with you."

"You did not shower yourself in glory, yet your dragon still lives." he stated. "What else would I have to say? Silence is neutral. Many will wish they were lucky enough to have a similar response."

"How can we ever make you happy," Daenya wondered allowed, before turning about and leaving.

Aemon goes to sit in the chair on the other side of Maegor's desk and stares at his brother with hollow eyes. "I'm sure you have already had a report, concerning Azuria." He says gravely, to the top of his brother's head.

She waited with Brandon. Nervous energy surrounded her, deep in her bones she knew Maegor could do two things...
He could say no and use her request as an example to deter any other women from attempting this act and then marry her off to the first Lord he thought of, that he had use for...
Or he could say yes and purposely toy with her to forsake her vows and then dismiss her and marry her off. Arenya looked at the Lord Commander, not saying anything, but waiting to follow his lead one the King acknowledges them.
