Janos arrived outside the Kings chambers, at which point he told one of the servants to relay his request to talk before waiting at the door.

He is ushered inside, where His Grace sits a desk, sifting through a slew of reports form the Arbor.

"Your Grace" Janos said bowing. "I recently heard news of the battle with Lord Redwynes fleet, and I had a minor request of your grace in relation to these." he continued.

Maegor glanced up, a dangerous glint in his violet eyes.
"I have just been informed we have lost half our strength at sea and you come to me with a request?" he asked.

"A hypothetical, if you will" Janos said, knowing where he was standing. He then considered his next words carefully before saying, "I would not burden you with anything at this time, only that should the conflict end with Lord Redwyns capture, if convenient I would request 5 minutes alone with the lord" Janos continued politely.

The king studied his Hand for a moment before asking, "Why?"

"I know of the death of my Brother, and indirectly lord Redwyne is responsible" Janos said. "I cannot say I was ever particularly close to my Brother" Janos continued as he took a seat. "However, as you know, Janos Velaryon, the man without a mind for politics, was less than true. So did he" Janos continued, his tone gone somewhat from the blindly loyal to a slightly more sinister one. "I do not think he particularly cared for the lie, yet he had the respect for me not to destroy it" Janos said before sitting quite upright. "While I understand the concept of Vengeance, it has always struck me as too, blunt, too barbaric a concept. However as Lord Redwyne was indirectly responsible, I feel I at least need to see the man alone for a few minutes, not for vengeance, or for justice, and with no intent to cause him harm." Janos said before he rose to his feet again. "I cannot name an exact reason, but I feel I need to see the man alone, your grace" He finished.

"I do not entertain whims, Lord Janos." Maegor replied with a dismissive tone. "Though if you wish for a word with the Bloodwyne, I am sure you will have your chance." he added, enigmatically.

"Of course, your grace" Janos said before bowing and exiting the room.

Brandon Snow looked from the exiting Hand to the King and back, and simply shook his head, and smiled to himself.

After a few days Kesi went to the King's chambers with an idea. She was dressed in her usual Qartheen style, as it made her feel more comfortable.

"Is sounding interesting." Kesi replied, her smile stayed. "You will be welcomed by the boy no doubt. He is really wanting to become a knight."

Kesi entered and studied the King a moment.
"You are looking unhappy, King." She said, prehaps un-needingly. "Is your Queen being alright in her... adventure?"

"My queen is well." His Grace replied, though his mood did not brighten. "Too well considering all we lost."

Kesi bit her bottom lip. This was not a mood that she needed him to be in.
"Losing is not being too bad, my King." She said. "It is showing what you are needing to make stronger to make self better."

"Lost too much, considering we won the war." he remarked coldly. "Do you really thing this the best moment to recommend self-improvement?"

"Is always being good time for that." Kesi shrugged. "Maybe best, but it is not me that history will be writing about."
She showed no notice of his tone.
"Winning is being good though, no? It is showing that even feared man cannot be matching you."

He seemed to have little patience for puzzling out her usually endearingly thick accent this afternoon, eyes narrowing as they looked upon her, failing to even linger appreciatively on her bare breast.
"Your position of honor is not due to your political savvy or sage advice. I have counselors for that, more than I care for. Know your place."

"As you are wishing." She said. "You are having a problem in this city though."

"I have more problems then I can list, but none in this city Balerion cannot make short work of." he replied in a dismissive tone.
