Having requested a private audience with the princess, Elyas arrived at her quarters at the designated time, early in the morning. He knocked on the door and took a step back, holding his hands behind his back and straightening his back.
He was garbed in a well spun cream tunic with the coat of arms of house Dryland blazoned across its chest. He wore brown breeches and matching brown boots.

Princess Sarella wore her customary expression; looking like she had just bitten into a lemon. She gave Elyas a long look before speaking. "So. You asked to speak with me. I presume you have a topic in mind? A favour, perhaps?"

Princess Sarella wore her customary expression; looking like she had just bitten into a lemon. She gave Elyas a long look before speaking. "So. You asked to speak with me. I presume you have a topic in mind? A favour, perhaps?" "I do have a topic to discuss, your grace." Elyas replied. "If it pleases your grace, might we speak in the privacy of your quarters? I would prefer it if Lady Visenya did not hear of our discussion, and it is said she has made many friends here in Sunspear."

"So she does." Sarella narrowed her eyes. "But we may certainly speak privately. You may be sure I keep a close watch on all who serve me."
She immediately ordered away the servants, ordering them to ensure that she and Elyas were not disturbed.

"Thank you your grace." Elyas said, hands still behind his back. "I come with a proposal from myself and Lady Catelyn. We would over the hand of our youngest child Lucyen to your grandchild Elia. We would also wish to offer to foster her at Vaith in the future." Elyas hesitated before proceeding. "If I may be perfectly candid, your grace, it is my belief that a child raised away from the influence of Lady Visenya would be a better servant of Dorne."
He nervously awaited Sarella's response, his hands clasped tightly.

Sarella's face was still as she listened and then she nodded. "A sensible proposal and likely better than Elia could otherwise hope for. You are quite right that the child is best separated from her mother. But we will say nothing of this until the time is ripe for the fostering, is that clear? Not to Visenya and not to Trystane, nor to your lady wife."

"I am sure I have taken up enough of your time, your grace. I will see myself out if there is nothing further to be discussed at present."

"Only this," she said. "I value your counsel but it might be wise not to query the decisions of House Martell at a formal meeting, my lord. It looks very ill. Trystane, I think, was not best pleased."

Trystane, I think, was not best pleased." "With all due respect, it was poorly done on his part to question my loyalty to your house, your grace." Elyas replied. "I do not believe this plan will succeed, and I would sooner slight his pride than see Dorne engaged in a war she cannot win. Is that alone worthy of an attack on my loyalty to House Martell?"

Sarella glared at Elyas. "The matter is done, my lord. Prince Trystane and I have made the decision and you will abide by it. I am well aware that few men are as loyal to the Spear Throne as yourself, and Prince Trystane knows it too, but you will oblige me by remembering through whose efforts you became the man you are today."

Elyas did not look as if he wanted to abandon discussion of the matter, but he forced himself to do so. "Of course, my lady." He said, nodding. "You have my apologies. I shall show myself out."

"Indeed. I am sure you will do the right thing," she said.
