Player Intrigue:
Intrigue in this game works in a rather straightforward way. Players are required to acquire spy networks through role-play; it is up to you to figure out a type of interaction that might gain you a network of spies in a particular place. A merchant whose ships often dock in a particular city, a guard in this guy's service, the owner of a whorehouse, etc. Think about how spy networks really work; information is valuable and if you can figure out how to acquire it, it can greatly benefit your gameplay.
Once you have a Spy Network in a particular city, you can periodically make an information request from the admins (this request must be sent via Private Message to all three admins, or it will not be rolled). There is no formal time period that you have to wait before making another Intrigue Request, however it will be based on admin discretion and if we think you are requesting them too often we will tell you. You can ask about anything you want in that particular place, including questions about the place itself, notable characters who might be present and what they are doing, etc. Whatever you want to know, really; if the admins think a request is unreasonable, we will inform you.
In each Intrigue Request you have a number of actions equal to your skill. A character with Beginner Intrigue only gets one, whereas a character with Expert gets five. If you have Expert Intrigue, for example, you could put your spies on five different people to find out where the go and who they meet, or you could ask five specific questions about one character or place, to learn about their/its past, etc. Or any combination you want. It should be noted, that if you have more than one network, you do not get [Skill Level] number of actions per network; that number is TOTAL per Intrigue request, and must be divided accordingly.
The admins will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
