Maeron flushed. "I can do anything Your Grace asks of me," he said, embarrassed. ""I'm trained at arms. Please, Your Grace, I want only to do my duty to the crown and to my house."
This was not, however, entirely true. But he could hardly admit the truth.

"Anything we ask?" She replied, raising an eyebrow, "We are sure you will be very useful, I see no harm in you being at court. Rooms will be prepared by your fathers. When you see Lord Baelon, tell him his child does not need to present himself to come visit him."
She finally looked to the other brother, and beckoned him forward to speak.

Jaecarys straightened himself as he stepped forward to stand before the Queen. He got down on one knee as he came close enough, bowing his head briefly before looking straightly at the Queen.
"I am Ser Jaecarys Targaryen, your cousin through my father Baelon Targaryen, Your Grace." he said, not letting his eyes leave the Queen. "I am here to swear myself and my dragon, Aquxax, to your service, to what extent is yours to command."

Alysanne arrived at the entrance of the throne room with Daenerys Storm and Taena Royce. She was dressed in a soft white dress with light gold embroidery, her hair combed delicately over one shoulder. Although she inherited some of her looks from her father, she was definitely her mother's daughter.
She waited to be announced and for the Queen to take notice.

"Welcome to court, Lady Alysanne, You have met our daughter, we see." "I have indeed, your Grace," Alysanne replied, curtsying low. "I came upon your daughter when I was bringing my dragon to the Dragon Pit. I named her Daeneryon, after my mother." She said in reference to her dragon, her cheeks a little red. "I am sorry your Grace, I am sure you have better things to do. I just wished to meet the woman whom my mother called her best friend, as well as announcing myself at court."

"Your mother was more a sister," Rhaena said honestly, "and is still greatly missed. You are welcome here at court. Have you come for any reason in particular?"

Alysanne smiled at that, thoughts of her mother always making her feel warm. "I initially came to see the city and meet you, your Grace, though I heard there would be a festival. I cannot help but feel intrigued by it."

"A festival to Zyraxes," Rhaena informed, looking down at the girl from her throne, face expressionless, "you follow the valyrian gods?"

"I do not, your Grace," Alysanne said with a shake of her head. "I follow the Seven, though I know to respect the gods of my Queen. And I would be a fool not to attend a tourney." She smiled brightly.

"More fool to," the queen said, "all people of all faiths are welcome to attend, provided they cause no interruption. You may lean something." Rhaena said, she disliked tourneys, but they were popular, for reasons she could not fathom.

"I am sure I will, your Grace," Alysanne said pleasantly. "I believe my grandsire owns a manse in the city, so I will not pester you for some rooms in your keep. However... may I perhaps request a more private meeting with your Grace?"

"You may. You will be contacted when I have time for a private audience," Rhaena replied to her, "have a good stay in the meantime." Alysanne did not look enough like her mother to make her feel emotional, but she felt it was the least she could do for Danny's daughter, to give her a chance to speak privately.

Rhaena nodded in approval of the tone of his response, she appreciated people who appreciated their dragons, unlike her son Traegon. "I am confident We shall have a very real use for you soon," she replied to him, thinking on it already, even something like patrolling the city, "can it be taken that your lament for battle experience is an offer to prove yourself in a battle?" ////////////// //////// Following the news of her brother's death, Aelys returned to court, and awaited her turn to petition the Queen. After those before her spoke to the Queen, Aelys was ushered forward again, as the queen sat and waited to hear from her again.

Jaecarys hadn't really given much thought about battle at all, he just felt that he should be truthful about Aquxax's history, but that wasn't something he could share with the Queen. His mother said that he had to find a way to earn himself a position at court and this would be his first steps toward that position. Hopefully his mother would be proud of him. "It can, Your Grace." he said simply.

"Thank you for receiving me again, Your Grace." Rhaena did not bother pointing out that she did not ask her there, and that anyone was allowed to petition the crown in the throne room, but inclined her head. "What is it you wish of the crown now?"

"As I am sure you already know, my brother, Lord Valarr, was killed at Dragonmont. While this news has deeply saddened me, I return to you to ask if, now that the limit of two people is no longer full, I may make the attempt myself."

"The reason you could not go, was not numbers," Rhaena replied, voice holding clear irritation, "it was due to the fact that we do not know you, nor have we any reason to trust you. You are not proven in battle against my enemies, you have not been a loyal subject in our house for years, you are not even the offspring of a loyal man." She said, referencing the reasons she had allowed people to attempt to tame dragons before, with dondarion, Valarr and harroway's son, "petition denied, again."

"I am disappointed that my brother's recommendation of me was not meaningful, but if I am still distrusted, I have a second petition to make."

By your leave of course." he said finally, deciding not to take up more of her time.

"Your brothers recommendation carries no weight now he is dead," Rhaena said, enunciating every word "You will remain distrusted until you do something to show you are trustworthy. Be quick about the next petition, and it had better not be about a claim on Oldtown." /////////////////// Jaecarys gave the Queen a grateful look, somewhat unsure on what to do next.
