Kesi smiled. "Then we will begin a line of perfumes, maybe open shops in bigger cities, I think Westeros would be good to start that, do you not agree Mattio?"

Mattio was thoughtful for a moment. "Cities in Westeros would be a good idea though you might consider ladies cosmetics as well as perfumes. Some ladies paint their faces. And many who are not ladies do so." He gave her a knowing look. The women of Westeros are vain, it is known."

"Then that is what I will start." Kesi decided. "Rosey, would you like to be in charge of that?"

Rosey looked worried. "If you like. As long as you help me if I need it. Being in charge of someting already in place is not the same as beginning a new business."

"Which is why it is your venture." Kesi said. "Of course I will help you."
She poured them all out another drink, it was a hot and thirsty day.
"It will be your thing though Rosey. I will only help when you truly need me to."

Rosey nodded but seemed rather anxious, a rare occurrence for her now, though Kesi remembered that it had taken the girl a couple of years to lose her natural anxiety.
"I won't let you down," she vowed. "I think it will be interesting to mix our own perfumes as well as the usual types."

"I know that you won't." Kesi said. "We can try some later if you like."
"Mattio, do you think it worth it, seeing the Sealord?"

"Of course, but we will need to take along some gifts as a courtesy. Some coin might be useful as well," he said, in case bribes were needed. "Do you have any friends at the Sealord's palace?"

Kesi shook her head.
"I cannot say that I do off the top of my head." She said. "Gifts can be provided. Maybe one of more unusual means too."

"What kind of gifts are you thinking of"? He asked. "I assume you have something in mind."

"I do." Kesi said. "Or something can be made before him, when we know what he likes."

"We can, or sometimes people give it away when being watched." Kesi answered. "Do you know anyone in his manse?"

"One or two. I met one of the stewards through a mutual friend and my son had a liaison with one of the chambermaids at the Sealord's Palace. My son also knows a couple of the guards. I have a couple of friends who are sometimes part of the Sealord's court."

"Can they be asked?" Kesi asked, surely they would be of help"

"i can try, certainly. It will require my friends to speak to their own friends, I don't doubt, until we find someone with the Sealord's ear. These things take time," he sighed.

"We do not need his ear, just his likes and dislikes." Kesi said

"Yes, but it will help to find someone close to him to tell us that. Men of rank are often fickle, my friend. Do not worry, we shall manage it."

"We will." Kesi agreed. "I am afraid though, it is getting late, your son will think that I have kidnapped you."

He smiled and stood. "Hardly. He will probably assume you and I are lovers. alas, it is not to be. I know your own children would be horrified at the thought."

Kesi smiled, and glanced at Rosey to see her reaction.
"Alas indeed, my friend." She also stood to see him out before returning to Rosey in the gardens.
