The first purchase of Kesi's in the city of Braavos.
When bought and before the children were moved in Kesi repainted the whole of the inside in pale colours. Over the years the home has changed several times, as Kesi's empire of trade grew she bought more for the house to make it into a place that the children could grow safely in.
The house currently has one pet, the dog belonging to Rosey.

Kesi invited one of her trading friends, Mattio, to her home.
It was a sunny day so she was sat in the garden with a jug of lemon water on the little table and watching the wind in the trees that she had spent so long nurturing. Her herbs were fragrant on the breeze making it one of the most pleasant places to be in the whole city state.

Mattio was a silk merchant, a greyhaired fellow who had been kind to her in the last few years. He came in bright silks to show off his trade and and gave her a courtly bow.
"Mistress Kesi, I offer you greetings, and a bottle of finest summerwine." He offered the bottle.

"Ah Mattio." Kesi said with a smile and she rose to greet him. "Would you mind if I asked my daughter to join us?"
She poured him some of her lemon water to have.
"I am trying to teach her properly so that she can take over from me one day."

He nodded his thanks. "I don't mind at all. Your daughter is sweet and clever. She would make a fine wife for my son, if they are so inclined. All merchants must look to the future, ourselves included. I don't wish to see my empire fail because there is nobody to take over."

"How is your son?" Kesi asked as she waved a servant to get Rosey. "I quite agree, if there is anything remaining with the Eastern news."

"Yes. Very troubling. My son is well. I have sent my wife and younger son to Tyrosh. I have a house there. But even that will not protect them forever, unless something changes."
He sighed. "But what can we do? Very little, I fear."

Kesi twisted her bracelet around her wrist, a habit that she had never stopped, despite her range of new glamours.
"We can only pray." She said. "I was thinking on sending both of mine to Westeros, but is that any better? Maybe if the Sealord welcomes the monster then he will not destroy too much of this city."

"We can only hope. But will anyone stop the monster? It will rule the world if nobody stands against it. I have heard it is a creature of nightmare," he replied.

"All dragons are." Kesi said. She rubbed her arm.
"We stand against the thing and we burn, we accept it then we can work to destroy it while in trust."

"can we? But how? Such creatures are dangerous, everyone knows that. How can we hope to stand a chance?"

"We will find a way my friend." Kesi said.
She looked around for Rosey.
"I have tried to shield them from it but I know that there is more talk."

"Yes. There is always talk, and it grows more frequent now. I don't know what to do."
Rosey could be heard in the corridor, speaking to one of the servants.

"Well. I plan to try and talk to the Sealord, maybe if we get a group to go to him he may listen?"

"It might be worth considering. I have never met the Sealord, we would have to seek a formal audience," he said. "Do you think he will listen?"
Just then, Rosey came in. The girl had grown up pretty, pale with red hair. She smiled warmly at Kesi. "Did you have need of me, Mother?"

"He is a leader, of course he will not." Kesi said with a smile.
She looked over at Rosey and her smile was deeper.
"I want you to join us, you need to learn."

Rosey had always done her best to learn from Kesi in the past, so she wondered what it was that Kesi had not yet taught her. "Of course," she said. "What do you wish to teach me?"

"Sit." Kesi instructed.
Once Rosey had sat she turned back to her guest.
"Have we heard any word from the East as to what is selling well at the moment?" She asked.

"At present, mostly slaves and metals. Though I have heard that saffron and wine from Yi Ti are in short supply and command the highest prices. Trade with the West continue as normal, but the East is problematic at present. Nobody knows if it will suddenly stop."

"They have raised prices too havent they." Kesi thought aloud. "What of the West, what is most in demand?"

"Silks and spices, as ever, but our merchants will have to put their prices up with all the trouble. Trade is going to be difficult for all of us now." He frowned. "Like as not we will all end up dead or penniless before the year is out.."

"Now that will not happen." Kesi said confidently.
"Rosey, what would you suggest that we start doing to make more of a profit?"
She gave a tiny smile to her friend, wanting to hear what her daughter would say.

Rosey frowned, thinking. "We could expand. Take on more products and sell to more places. We might need to hire more people but it might be worth it."

Kesi nodded thoughtfully.
"We could. Maybe some more specialized too." She said. "What do you think we should start to sell Rosey? If we could do anything in this world that is."

Rosey thought for a long moment. "I don't know...perfumes? I like perfume. But I don't know if that will make us rich."
