"The cost for the events should be manageable, particularly if Your Grace does not mind a small tournament with most of the names competing from your own household. I am capable of setting it up, if that is your desire," Uther commented, drinking from his wine glass. "Of course, to attract the great names, there would need to be a more sizable purse or else some other reward."

Yana eyes Prince Orys for a moment, winching when his little display gets mangled, 'I think a rousing contest of skills, especially if it gets a little.. messy, would certianly please the peoples, something to cheer, wager and boo at usually has more appeal to a crowd than tricks.. Especially if his Highness has another off day.. It would not do to burn half the city down because he loses his apparently tenuous grip..' Yana's tone is not mocking Orys, more concerned for public and royal safety,

Rhaena nodded to Yana, "Captain Snow is correct, make it simpler, depict something in flames if you must, but make it simple so it will not fail," She said to Orys, and then turned to the rest of the table once more,
"It is a festival, and the main part of it happens after the sun goes down, as you know, I need a celebration of family, also, something pleasant, like giving out toys or something to children," she did not seem enthusiastic about the idea, "and I agree to a Tourney, they make the people happy, and will give local knights a chance to practice, a joust, a melee and an archery contest, the latter two I want open to all citizens," Rhaena said, knowing she should not participate in any of them, nor would she want to.

"I shall make the necessary announcements, your grace, if you tell me what you should like them to say," Prince Lucerys said. "I should think that the Crown can stand to offer appropriate prizes for the tournament winners, in addition to paying the expenses of the festival, can it not, Lord Reyne?" It must have been a rhetorical question, for he kept right on talking after nodding to the Master of Coins.
"Nine thousand dragons to the winner of the Joust, Four thousand to the winner of the melee, and Two thousand to the winner of the Archery contest? It will not overburden the Exchequer unduly, and the people shall certainly enjoy the spectacle."

"Excellent, though I would prefer less high prizes. It is not as if they are winning anything important, it would not do for the crown to appear cheap though," she contemplated quietly for a moment, she did not like tourney herself, but did not want that to have an effect on it's running. "I will leave it to yours and the master of coins discretion and will write up an announcement to be made informing the people of the upcoming festivities,"

"It will be done, your grace," Prince Lucerys said, inclining his head respectfully.

Orys sulks in the corner, tracing his finger along the top of his cup. He quietly shakes his head.

"In which case," Rhaena said, and smiled around the room, "as this meeting is finishing before I scheduled, I shall go and take a bath, if my captain would like to join me," she said, smirking at Yana as she nudged her head towards the door."

Yana stands and when Rhaena leaves she follows her, a step behind, quite obviously taking her task of guarding the Queens person as seriously as she always does.
