Targaryen NPCsDaenerys StormAge: 12 Dragon: Skydancer Daenerys is Queen Rhaena's only daughter. Bastard born, with her father never officially named, it's rumoured that she was sired by the late Borros Baratheon. Daenerys is a lively, friendly girl who behaves exactly like the princess she considers herself. To her chagrin, she is commonly called Lady Daenerys, rather than Princess, on account of her birth. She has long black hair and pale skin and her eyes are a beautiful shade of indigo. Though slender of build, she keeps herself in shape by training daily with the sword, hoping that one day her mother will make her heir to Dark Sister, instead of one of her trueborn brothers. Three years ago, Daenerys' dragon egg hatched a green dragon, which she named Skydancer. The two became close companions and Daenerys has been able to ride Skydancr for almost a year now. Daenerys dreams of being the heir her mother deserves, but with two trueborn brothers ahead of her, and another brother who shares their mother's powers, as well as various other relations, she knows she will have to do something spectacular if she is to stand a chance. At age 10 Daenerys attended the Royal Academy of Kings Landing but 2 years later she is getting bored and tends to skip her classes. She prefers to spend her time flying and training in the yard. Taena StormAge: 37 Dragon: Victory (Fresh) Taena was born the bastard daughter of Princess Gaemon Targaryen and raised in the household of her aunt, Princess Laena. Victory was still a hatchling at the time of Maegor II's death, so Taena had no part in the brief but bloody conflict that led to Queen Rhaena taking the throne. As a close friend of Daenerys Velaryon, Taena spent time in the Vale, where she endeared herself to the Arryns by her friendly nature. It was in the Vale that Victory grew large enough to ride. Taena's first flight was over the mountain and Vale. She later fell in love with Ser Maric Royce, a friend of Edmyn Arryn. The two eventually married and had a son named Aemond. Maric was later appointed as Knight of the Bloody Gate. Taena now divides her time between the Gates of the Moon, the Eyrie and Kings Landing. She is loyal to the queen, but not interested in politics. She takes an interest in the doings of her friend's daughter, Alysanne. Taena is a talented archer. Aemond RoyceAge: 14 Aemond is the only son of Taena Storm and Maric Royce, who is the Knight of the Gate. Growing up he always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and begged his parents to let him. Both of course allowed him, and he was happy as he grew into a young man. His mother, being a Targaryen bastard, Aemond grew up in close proximity to her dragon, Victory. And so he awaits the day that the Queen will allow him to go and tame one of the fabled beasts. Until then he is happy to spend time in the Vale where he is currently squire to his father's friend Ser Edmyn Arryn. AdaraAge: 44 As a young girl Adara married Owen Dondarrion but the marriage was unhappy and both took other lovers. Adara returned to Kings Landing where she earned a reputation for her voracious sexual appetites and numerous lovers. When Queen Rhaena took the Iron Throne, Adara was coerced into marriage with Belaquo Adarys, brother to the then Archon of Tyrosh, in order to maintain Rhaena's alliance with the city. Belaquo was given Darkheart Keep for his seat. Though Adara initially resented her second marriage, she soon discovered that Belaquo's sex drive was as high as her own. But Belaquo was prickly when it came to his wife's honour. He beat her bloody the first time he caught her with another man and locked her in her room for a fortnight. Adara's loose morals were too deeply ingrained to be solved with one beating, however, and several more followed, as did two more children. Belaquo also stopped Adara drinking moon tea but their second child together was to be Adara's last. A difficult labour, followed a year later by a miscarriage prompted Grand Maester Benedict to inform the couple that Adara could no longer conceive. Yet despite the strictures placed upon her, Adara was not unhappy. Belaquo turned a blind eye to her liaisons when they were parted, asking only that she learn discretion, and remain faithful to him when they were together. Maeron TargaryenAge: 17 Maeron is the eldest son of Baelon Targaryen and Arwyn Cuy and heir to Sun House. He is a stocky young man with dark hair. He is a talented awordsman and horseman. He squired at Honeyholt for a few years and has now come to court in hopes of winning the queen's favour. He shares his father's interest in women, considering it his due as a nobleman. He is fond of his brother Jacaerys but not close to his sisters Rhaella and Arenya. Maeron is more interested in personal glory than in the concept of family legacy.

NPCs in WesterosSer Edmyn ArrynAge: 37 Edmyn is heir to Arthur Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie. As a boy he squired at Redfort for several years. He later fought in the crown's war against the Faith, often fighting alongside his father's former squire, Prince Aegon Targaryen, and the two became friends. Later, when the war concluded, Edmyn met and married Daenerys Velaryon. After the death of Maegor II, House Arryn declared for Prince Aegon and then for his widow, Queen Rhaena I, despite private reservations regarding the manner of Aegon's death. Edmyn was, however, immensely proud of his wife for her clever ploy to slay the pretender, Maekar Waters. Daenerys soon gave birth to a daughter, Alysanne, but the marriage was short-lived when Daenerys was slain in battle. Edmyn mourned his wife for many years, dedicating his time to his daughter and to the people of the Vale. For years he refused offers of marriage from many houses all over Westeros and was persuaded to take his second wife years later, at his father's urging. Even then, his love for Daenerys came to the fore and he insisted on naming his second daughter for his dead love, despite the hurt this cause his new wife, Wylla Manderly. Their marriage is dutiful rather than loving, with Edmyn more interested in the business of ruling than in pleasing a young wife. Edmyn is also very aware that his daughter Alysanne is rightfully the lady of Driftmark and hopes to help her confirmed as ruler of her ancestral seat. Maric RoyceAge: 40 Maric is the Knight of the Bloody Gate. As a squire at Redfort he met Edmyn Arryn and took the boy under his wing. The two became friends thereafter, fighting the Faith Militant together. Later on, as Maric was a younger son, he was given a place as one of Lord Arryn's household knights. It was then he met Taena Storm, visiting with Lord wife Daenerys Velaryon. The two fell in love and married, producing a son named Aemond. Maric later became Knight of the Bloody Gate and is dedicated to his duty and to his wife and son. Lord Oswyn TullyAge: 58 Lord Tully is a deeply religious man. His daily prayers and readings from the Seven Pointed Star are a crucial part of his life and he is known to be particularly generous to wandering septons. He has even been known to give shelter to refugees since the disbanding of the Faith Militant. He is a bookish man with a dislike of intense physical activity. He is an average swordsman and a worse rider. He has a melancholy temperament as a result of seeing his beloved religion used as the catalyst of a bitter war that lasted for two thirds of his lifespan, and additionally when several members of his family, including his wife and son, were killed by the outlaw Mad Matrim Rivers. Unfortunately for Oswyn, he was caught up in the political conflict that followed the death of Maegor the Cruel, and Queen Rhaena compelled him to send his two youngest children to Kings Landing as hostages. But though both children were treated kindly, as befit their rank, tragedy struck House Tully later on when three more of Oswyn's children suffered untimely deaths. Oswyn prays twice daily for the continued survival of Ryman, Ellyn and his various grandchildren. He has no ambition beyond the safety of his remaining family. Scholar Ellyn TullyAge: 28 Ellyn spent her early years at Riverrun, safe from the war that plagued most of Westeros. An obedient and charming girl, she made no fuss when she and her brother Edwyn were sent as hostages to Kings Landing against their father's good behaviour. Ellyn's sweet nature soon won her friends in Kings Landing and, because she was only 10 at the time and kept busy with her studies and play time, it was easy to forget that she was really a hostage. But she found herself coming under the influence of the kind-hearted Lady Jenny, a minor noblewoman who had been Lady in Waiting to Queen Rhaella. Lady Jenny took on a motherly role towards Ellyn, teaching the girl how to become a woman. When Ellyn came of age, Lady Jenny wanted to find her a husband, but the Royal Academy of Kings Landing was finally able to take its first class of students. Ellyn begged for a place, and was allowed to enter. She spent the next years of her life studying. When she finished her studies she took on a role as a teacher of future students, and is sometimes to be found in the Red Keep. She is still young, being 28 years old, and has yet to marry, though it's rumoured she's had a few discreet liaisons that would appall her religious father. Axell Blackwood, Lord of Stone HedgeAge: 37 As a young man Axell took part in the fighting against the Faith Militant and later became a presence at court in the latter months of King Maegor's reign. There he was caught up in the politics of House Targaryen when Queen Rhaella proposed him as husband for Vira Dragonseed in lieu of the fugitive Rhaegar Targaryen. But Axell's marriage was doomed from the start by Vira's love for Maekar Waters, and the union was never consummated. When Maekar claimed the throne, he commanded Axell to set Vira aside and promised him the hand of Ravella Bracken, the heiress to Stone Hedge, instead. This betrothal was later honoured by Queen Rhaena. Axell and Ravella were married two years later, with Axell declaring he wanted nothing more to do with Kings Landnig. He has kept to his promise, spending his time ruling Stone Hedge or visiting his family at Raventree Hall. If he wishes to visit a city, he goes to Lannisport, but he has not set foot in Kings Landing in sixteen years. Axell is happy in his marriage, though he and Ravella are friends and partners rather than lovers. They have three children. Addam Reyne, Lord of CastamereAge: 57 Addam is known for his courtesy, his love of hunting and his dedication to obtaining money for the benefit of either the crown or House Reyne. He has been Master of Coin for many years now, having first been appointed in 75AL. He was allowed to retain the post under Queen Rhaena because she knew he would dedicate himself to improving her finances. The crown's debt was so vast that a third yet remains, yet Addam has been instrumental in ensuring that the debt has been reduced to its current degree. Addam has made Kings Landing his home for many years, leaving his wife and heir to rule Castamere in his name. Jaime Westerling, Lord of the CragAge: 41 As a young man Ser Jaime lived at the Red Keep as one of Lord Reyne's Westermen courtiers. Handsome and charming, Jaime soon made himself agreeable to the ladies of the court, his conquests including Taena Storm. Later on, he fell in love with Visenya Targaryen but could not persuade her to marry him. He was heartbroken when she was ordered to marry Maekar Waters. He was away from court when Visenya fled following Maekar's disappearance, and never saw her again. As heir to the Crag, he knew he would one day have to marry. He fell in love with the forthright and charming Lyanna Cuy a dozen years ago. They have two children together and enjoy a happy marriage. Jaime succeeded his father as Lord of the Crag two years ago. He divides his time between the Crag and Kings Landing. Lady Arwyn Cuy, Lady of Sun HouseAge: 36 Arwyn grew up in the war-torn south. As a girl she had to live in a run down old castle with few servants, which meant she had to do many tasks that didn't befit a lady. But her luck turned when Queen Rhaella came to Sun House and proposed that Arwyn., now Lady of Sun House in her own right, marry the queen's bastard brother, Baelon Waters, later legitimised as Baelon Targaryen. Arwyn's marriage also helped her to make good matches for her three sisters, all of whom married lords. Although it was a marriage of convenience, Arwyn's gentle nature enabled her to grow fond of Baelon and they had four children together. Arwyn had always suspected that Baelon was not faithful to her and didn't mind that, so long as he kept it quitet, so she became deeply hurt when he stopped hiding his extra marital liaisons. Arwyn dislikes court, and prefers not to attend Kings Landing on a regular basis, so it came as no surprise to her that Baelon had a mistress in the city, but she resents the other woman's existence nonetheless. She is still fond of Baelon but their relations have been a little strained lately because Arwyn can't help feeling jealous of the other women in his life. Belaquo Adarys, Lord of Darkheart KeepAge: 58 Belaquo spent his youth in Tyrosh and Braavos, fighting pirates from the Stepstopes. A warrior of renown, he also developed business interests in the city and served as a loyal right hand man to his brother, Massio, the Archon of Tyrosh. When Queen Rhaena spoke to the Archon's son Ennio about an alliance with Tyrosh, the price was that Belaquo marry the Queen's aunt Arenya and be granted lands and a keep in Westeros Unfortunately, Arenya perished in the bloody conflict on Dragonstone that preceded Rhaena's reign. Her widowed cousin Adara was proposed as the bride instead. Thoguh the marriage began badly, due to Adara's resentment and indiscreet attitude towards extramarital affairs, Belaquo applied a discipline Adara had not known since her early teens and brought about a change in her conduct. Despite this, however, Belaquo was still fit and healthy, with a powerful sex drive. He and Adara soon became accustomed to one another and the marriage was generally accounted a success, with two children resulting from the union. Belaquo now divides his time between Darkheart and Tyrosh, though he is occasionally seen in Kings Landing too.

The two became mercenaries in the Free Cities until Rhaegar Targaryen hired them as his guides for a visit to Sunspear. Olyvar became Rhaegar's friend and confidant, helping him win the support of the Dornish marcher lords. He accompanied Rhaegar when Princess Sarella demanded they slay the dragon Vandaras as the price of an audience and struck the final blow, earning himself the name Dragonslayer. Sarella then pardoned Olyvar at Rhaegar's urging. A few years later, Olyvar married Larra Toland after the death of her first husband. They now have four children.

Eastern NPCsEnnio Adarys, Archon of TyroshAge: 37 As a youth Ennio was more interested in painting and flirting than trade, politics or warfare, though he was a skilled swordsman in his own right. He befriended Rhaena Targaryen during her visit to Tyrosh with Prince Aegon, and later she came to him seeking an alliance with Tyrosh. Ennio skilfully negotiated with Rhaena, gaining his uncle Belaquo a Tagaryen wife and a castle in the Stormlands. Ennio saw Rhaena infrequently but they were occasional lovers. He fathered one of her bastards. He is now married to a Tyroshi woman with a son. Rosey MandisaAge: 25?? (actual age unknown) Rosey is the adopted daughter of Kesi Mandisa. She was born in Kings Landing to a poor family, her parents dying when she was very young. For the first eight years of her life, Rosey grew up on the streets, living each day as it came and nearly starving to death. Her big change came when Kesi noticed her best friend (and future adopted brother) and he made the blue haired woman take the girl in. Under Kesi's care Rosey bloomed, being saved from death by Kesi's use of blood magic. When the little broken family moved to Braavos it marked a new start for them all, and Rosey was gifted a little dog to care for of her own, something that she had only dreamed of before. When she was old enough Kesi started training Rosey so that one day she could take over the trading empire that Kesi had built, keeping the family in comfort. Now in her twenties, Rosey is left in charge alot of the time and is fluent in a fair few languages. Gendry MandisaAge: 22?? (actual age unknown) Like Rosey, Gendry was adopted at a young age though his being the more tender age of five. Sharing the same background as his adopted sister, Gendry was the reason that they both were accepted into a better life by Kesi. When the family moved to Braavos he was gifted with a dog too, but unlike his big sister he was unable to look after it and so the dog was taken away. It was the first time that Kesi had ever made good on a threat with the boy and he soon learnt that his patron was not one that was good to cross. Kesi paid for Gendry to be taught to sword fight, which was a dream that he had always had, and so at age twenty two he sometimes accompanies his patron or his sister on their trips, though Kesi is often loath to let him out of her sight for long. Marcia Valarza, the Freeholder of ElyriaAge: 33 Marcia was the younger daughter of an Elyrian nobleman. She never married, spending her days dreaming of Valyria and of dragons. Some said she was half mad, and indeed she was often confined to her family's house when she suffered fits the physicians could never cure. She was also prone to saying strange things in public, another reason for her to be confined, and often beaten for speaking out of turn, or offending suitors. Books and dreams were her solace. Marcia learned many things in her solitude but she experienced very little in her tower. She was lonely, but for the cats who were her constant companions. And then one day, she dreamed of a black dragon and a mysterious rider who would bring new glories for Elyria. At first the people of Elyria laughed at her, including her own family, but that was before Balerion came, bearing the Burned Rider on his back. When Elyria surrendered, and Marcia's prophecies were made known to the Burned Rider, he chose Marcia to be the city's Freeholder and granted her a dragon egg. The black and gold egg hatched within a week and Marcia immediately loved the dragon hatchling. Thereafter, a change came upon her. Her fits stopped and no man or woman dared call her mad for fear of being burned alive. Marcia is now one of the Burned Rider's most loyal servants. Julianos Loktyr, the Freeholder of TolosAge: 46 Most pirates don't live very long, but Julianos isn't most pirates. He escaped the noose many times, winning fame and wealth, and later becoming a privateer in the service of Tolos. He was immensely wealthy and immensely powerful, a factor which made him a noteworthy figure when the Burned Rider wanted a man to be a dragonrider and Freeholder. Indeed, Julianos murdered the favoured candidate and presented himself in the man's stead. The Burned Rider seemed to approve his ambition and Julianos now rides a dark red beast.
