Yeah, people are not playing Wildlings. This is DRAGONS of Westeros.

What about a wildling child of Varryn's?

They had woods witches Beyond the Wall. There were a few in ADWD. Wargs are a good point too. I am totally fine with that. Some of you guys know how much I LOVE playing with magic. I will suggest that we allow 1 northern witch (gender is flexible), but no more.

What about a wildling child of Varryn's? Varryn's kid would be a possibility, Obviously involvement in the Beyond the Wall story has to be limited though. It would be good if he had some company but we don't want everyone up north so only really 1 or 2 people.

I suppose that'd give him a PC to play with....
We'd have to limit it to just the one kid and one magic person though likely, but that's up to Sam and Marie. It's an interesting character concept.

Ironborn dragon rider? Or Water wizard spearman?

That sounds fair to me. It gives a couple of players the chance to join Varryn if they wish, which gives him more options too, without detracting from the other stories.

Ok, here's the deal with having Wildling PCs. The North is not the focus of the game. So the more PCs we have running around in the North, the more work we have to do creating a world that is not in any way related to the rest of the game, and frankly I'm less than inclined to do that.
We agreed to give Varryn the chance to roll for his survival and roll to see if he requires a wildling army because we thought it would be cool, but the focus of this game isn't going to be on the North and I'd rather not have everyone running around up there.

Up to you guys. I'd not be adverse to giving him at least one PC to play with up there, since I think not having one puts all the weight on the admin. That was my mistake.
Since Aerion never married the Greyjoy girl, no Ironborn riders. Don't even get me started with water wizards.

Haha no chance Never say never. You;ve yet to see a bio for em. XD I'll just file any such bios in the "evil NPCs to be used against PCs" area of the admin board I think we should allow a maximum of 2 other players besides Varryn in the North and my reasons are the same as Zack's but it's still up for discussion as yet.

I guess I'll see what positions are up to play and decide then. Any rough estimate when that might be?

Not sure yet. We've got some major decisions to make first. A few days or more.

Hey. I hate to sound crabby but can I ask one small favor. Before you post new openings can you figure out who will live and who will die. I don't want flex poaching the good role while I wait to be murdered in my sleep by Maekar because I could not find anyone to blow his dice.

We're doing that, Smith. We are currently dealing with the list of surviving PCs. The list of available roles for new characters will not be posted until we have confirmed who among the current survivors lives and dies with their players.

Yeah, that's the plan smith and why we're not accepting reservations until the epilogue has been posted and the available position list right after.

Thanks, Smith! Given up on the dice and gone straight to the source? Rhaena's correct. There were a bunch of eggs on Dragonstone and more could have been produced, so there is scope for new dragons.

Not to mention a few in the east and likely a batch of eggs there too.

I don't want a dragon. I oppose them on gaming principle. But I do want a cool role.
And a Marie I will think you are great even after my man dies a horrible mysterious death.
