Name: Viserys 'the Fair' Kymeryan
Status: Captain-General of the Doomed
Age: 33
Dragon: N/A
Weapon: Shadowfriend (A Valyriansteel shortsword) and an arakh
Character Skills:
Water Dancing-Expert
Arakh-Noteworthy
Land Battle-Noteworthy

Common Tongue-Novice (First language is Low Valyrian with a distinctly Braavosi accent)
Higher Mysteries-Beginner (No actual practical knowledge, just informed from growing up overseas)
Stewardship-Beginner
Appearance: Viserys is an immaculately handsome fellow, whose long silver hair and violet eyes mark his Valyrian ancestry for all to see. He regularly dresses in bright colors, the mark of the bravo. He wears a ring on each finger, and claims each one is from a duel he's won. His silver hair is rarely cut except after defeat, in the tradition of Dothraki warriors.
Personality: Viserys is not nearly as vain as he looks, but his foreign ways regularly throw off Westerosi strangers. He enjoys the intimate company of men and women, believes in magic, and is rumored to have bedded his sister. He is deeply proud of his Valyrian heritage, but has no illusions that owning a dragon makes any man a more competent ruler.
Background: Just after the Doom, Orys Kymeryan and several other Valyrian exiles formed a modest army called the Black Company. The idea was that Valyrian influence and culture might survive the destruction of its homeland if the survivors could consolidate their resources. Unfortunately, it became clear that without dragons, they were just one more sellsword company among hundreds. After a few decades, the company splintered and what's left of that failed enterprise today is a very different force called the Doomed. The majority of its officers are still Valyrian, and it is well respected for its reliability and prowess, but these days, they are less interested in ressurecting the Freehold and more interested in what the next contract may bring. The current Captain-General, Viserys is descended from one of the founders, and retains the characteristic silver hair and violet eyes of his lineage. He has recently turned his eye across the Narrow Sea, in the hopes that he might fulfill his family's ambitions.
Viserys was raised primarily in Braavos, though has rarely lived in one place more than two years. Like any noble house, he was born with the expectation that he would serve his family by leading his men. Unlike most noble houses, he has no real land, just a family tree whose roots seem to dig themselves even deeper into his affairs. The rise of the Targaryen family over the past 80 years has caused a lot of strife within the Doomed. The Valyrian officers believe Westeros could be the new Freehold. The enlisted, an assorted collection of Dothraki, bravos, and sellswords from all across the Free Cities, are unsure of the risk of traveling so far for such a strange culture. The only solution, in Viserys' eyes, is to wait until the next major conflict in Westeros, and then commit his forces to the winning side. It would hopefully appease the mercenary nature of the Doomed, and then the two remnants of old Valyria might reunite at last.
