Quentyn shrugged. "Damned if I know. Did you have an inventory of how much it was? Mother gave the money to her Lord Treasurer, I remember." He frowned. "I never understood why you travelled with so much gold, though. Some of the lords think you stole it from your father's treasury, and Mother hates your family so much she feels rather smug about having your father's gold sitting in her own treasury, do you see? But if you were my mistress, I'd give you jewels to make up for it."

"I know exactly how much I made; and the reason I had it on me was because I made it in the Summer Isles," Daenya said, studying the Martell. "I will take the jewels as well though. Those will look good on me."

"Fine then. Time we made the deal official then, isn't it? I'll have a think about the jewels afterwards," he said. "We've goldsmiths in the city so it won't be too hard to get the first piece."

"Earrings, I think," Daenya replied as she sat down on a chair and crossed her legs. "Something Dornish, to annoy your mother."

He laughed. "I can do that. She won't like it one bit, but a prince may bed anyone he likes." He leaned in, put his hands on her shoulder. "Let's get started." He kissed her.

Daenya looked up at Sarella with a blank expression. She turned and went into the back part of her rooms, out of sight to get changed into a yellow dress, putting on as many of the prince's jewels as she could. She then returned and without a word waited for them to set off.

When the time came, a handful of guards met Daenya outside her room. In the courtyard they met Lord Yronwood, Prince Quentyn and Lord Osmund, with a larger retinue of guards and servants.

Daenya followed them outside and then turned to Sarella.
"A word, Princess," She said, a smile coming to her face.

Sarella folded her arms across her chest. "Make it quick, then. I have no desire to waste words on a troublemaker."
Prince Quentyn was seen to wince at his mother's bluntness.

"That's alright, all you need to do is listen," Daenya told her, moving a little closer and lowering her voice.
"We will see each other again, Princess. And when we do, I am going to kill you but not before making you suffer. I just wanted to make that promise, Sarella. Dorne will burn and it will be all your fault." Her smile widened and she stepped back. "Remember that."

Sarella clenched her fists. "I killed a dragon in the past, as you know. I can kill you too. It would be the easiest thing in the world to drive a spear through your belly and let you bleed to death here and now, but I desire the gold. Make no mistake, girl, you are dead if you ever set foot on Dornish soil again."

Daenya laughed lightheartedly. "I will see you soon, Sarella. Until then." She gave a little wave and turned away to join the party.
