There wasn't room for all of the men to crowd round Daenya at once but eight of them moved in close. Two men try to grab her arms while another goes for her sword.

Daenya manages to kill one of her opponents and wound another, but she will have to keep grappling with the third man as he tries to wrest her sword free by forcing it out of her hands with his own sword. Two men move forward to replace the dead man and the wounded one.

Daenya attempts to duck rather than parry the blade, hoping as well that the man might wound one of his own companions. She continues to fight anyone who tries to come at her.

Rhaegar grew tired of the resistance. He signalled to the remaining pikemen to level their pikes and move towards Daenya and for other men - armed knights - to move around the back of Daenya. Lord Yronwood and his men were coming up the hill as well as the Sunspear guards.
He turned to Ser Olyvar who had struck the fatal blow to Vanderas.
"Do what you have to do Olyvar but stop her killing these brave Dornishmen."

As the fight progresses, Daenya deals a flurry of blows to her opponents. Half of them are hit, blood streaming down their arms or legs. Two men, however, remain untouched they Daenya proves too fast for them. Of the remaining two, one gives Daenya a light cut to her forearm, while the last one, circling behind her, hits her in the head with the butt of his spear. Daenya's eyes roll up and she topples forward, unconscious.
Ser Olyvar grinned at Rhaegar. "It seems our friends have saved me the bother. She's a brave lass, but she could never fight off our friends here." He looked down at Daenya. "She lives, though. Now what? Can you ransom her back to your kin for some kind of concessions?"

Lord Mertyne ordered two of his men to swiftly bind the Princess' hands, in case she awakens suddenly. "I suspect that we cannot rely on this one's word not to try and escape, so she'll have to be bound like a common criminal," he said, somewhat sheepishly. It was clear that he did not think it was right, that a highborn princess should be treated so rudely, but it was also clear that he understood the lack of alternatives.

"What will be done with Daenya will be up to your liege lady." replied Rhaegar feeling suddenly exhausted.
He clapped Ser Olyvar and Lord Osmund on the shoulders. "You fought well my friends." he raised his voice. "You all fought well. I would be honored to fight with you all on any field of battle- shoulder to shoulder."
He did not look at Ser Elyas as he spoke.

"It was my honor to fight at your side, my lord prince," Lord Osmund replied, as his remaining men cheered Rhaegar's words. Osmund turned is burned face toward the slain dragon. "That creature's head will be too large to carry far, even severed. The villagers will give us a cart to bring it back to Sunspear, if we can get it down the mountainside."
He ordered several of his men to begin severing the dragon's head, and as they did so, several red-black scales came free and clattered across the rocks. Lord Osmund picked one up and examined it for a moment, and walked over to Daenya's inert body and slipped it into a pouch at her waist. When he looked at the other men, giving him curious looks, he shrugged. "It was her dragon, was it not? he asked, looking to Rhaegar.

"Princess Sarella is not my liege," Olyvar pointed out. "I was banished, remember? Even now she might have my head off for daring to step onto Dornish sand. I'll fight for you, Rhaegar."
Meanwhile, the men begin a rousing cheer of "Rhaegar the Dragonslayer" with a few cheers for Olyvar thrown in as well.

Rhaegar nodded in acceptance of Osmund's actions and orders.
He gave orders that the remains of the dead Dornishmen be buried in a mass grave with a mound raised to mark their burial place. Ser Aurane Dalt was buried individually at the mouth of the cave. Rhaegar also gave orders that the dragon be stripped of his skin and muscle and the dragonbone be collected into what carts they could muster from the village. What was left was buried close to Ser Aurane's grave.
When this was completed, and the head of Vanderas loaded onto a cart displayed for all to see, the party headed off towards Sunspear. Ser Elyas Sand and Lord Anders Fowler were also placed in litters to be carried. Daenya was securely bound and trussed in the cart carrying the head of her dragon.
"See to your father." he told Ser Olyvar. "Lord Anders fought bravely and I want him to live to see our triumph."

"I will," said Olyvar. He went to sit in the wagon beside his father, talking quietly to him as he did so. The spear rested beside him, along with his sword and other pieces of equipment but Olyvar's main concern was for his wounded father.

The party rode on through Dorne towards Sunspear, passing through the villages they had already come through, showing the head of the dragon Vandaras to the small folk.

(OOC: you have a couple autocorrect typos two up, Rhaegar)
Ser Elyas lay in his litter brooding quietly and trying to ignore the pain that washed over the entirety of his body.
