I wouldn't mind if they showed any evidence of having actually you know... read the books.

D and D have admitted that they like to do scenes featuring "what if these characters who never spoke in the books got to meet?" Sometimes they work really well, such as Tywin and Arya, but I think sometimes they push it a little too far, as they have done with Brienne. I liked Brienne meeting the Tyrell ladies but the Cersei scene felt all wrong. And in both cases it would have worked far better if Brienne had not been the instigator. The Tyrell scene would have been even better if Margaery summoned Brienne to ask her about Renly, while the Cersei scene could have had Jaime presenting Brienne to Cersei and both women taking it badly. I agree.

I was a little bummed Roose didn't drop the "regret the day I raped your mother" line.

I CANT WAIT for next week, since my favorite line ever will probably happen near the beginning.

I'm sure he'll throw it out at some point. I was just expecting it there. Which line is your favorite?

I'd be shocked if that scene doesn't happen now. We can live in hopes the line is included too. That Bolton line kinda gives me the creeps though. I always liked "Here comes my cheese." And they put it in. My favourite GRRM quote ever is from The Sworn Sword where Ser Eustace talks about the Battle of Redgrass field and he talks about a battlefield being a thing of beauty: “A great battle is a terrible thing, but in the midst of blood and carnage, there is sometimes also beauty, beauty that could break your heart. I will never forget the way the sun looked when it set upon the Redgrass Field . . . ten thousand men had died, and the air was thick with moans and lamentations, but above us the sky turned gold and red and orange, so beautiful it made me weep to know that my sons would never see it.” I live in hopes those novellas are translated into a miniseries.

Roose has the best line about him too:
"Roose has no feelings, you see. Those leeches that he loves so well sucked all the passions out of him years ago. He does not love, he does not hate, he does not grieve. This is a game to him, mildly diverting. Some men hunt, some hawk, some tumble dice. Roose plays with men. You and me, these Freys, Lord Manderly, his plump new wife, even his bastard, we are but his playthings."

King Sedriss Bolton, good times. The Northeast was stacked. And then there was me by myself in the Northwest.

Flaying Swede was fun, though the Northwest taking Manderly's son hostage was a dick move.

What game was that?
Also, I feel as if D&D aren't sure what to do with Brienne at the moment, but know they need to put her in scenes to reaffirm that she's there. All of them are cringeworthy.

Nine Kingdoms. Fun game, but the admin was a tool. I hope he dies in a fire.
Yeah the issue is they need to keep these people around that vanished for whole books, or tv viewers will get angry at their favorite character not getting enough screen time. Part of the medium.
